So good, and in an area of Paris that is more about tourist traps than fine cuisine. Make a reservation and prepare to enjoy so much foie gras

Simply delicious family restaurant ran by a dad and his son. We had fois gras with bread and then duck with mushroom sauce which hit it out of the ballpark! Highly recommend this place if you are a duck lover.

Duck, duck and more Duck. The best I’ve ever had. Prepared every possible way with very fair prices. The foie gras terrine was the finest dish I may ever have had in Paris. The seared duck breast was perfect with ceps mushrooms. Extraordinary in every way. Casual atmosphere in the 9th. It has now become a must stop for me.

This is the most cosiest family-affaired place I ever went to in Paris. The are specialists for gooses, but in a typical french kind like the orange-sauce. Very kind couple/owners who used to touch your shoulders after ordering the menu! So sweet! Menu was perfect, main meal absolutely fantastic. we had delicious vine and a tres formidable desert! This may be our fav restaurant when we are in Paris!

Thank you Unilocal for leading me to an amazing dining experience! I was visiting Paris in January and wanted a nice meal to indulge in that was under $ 50USD. I believe the fixed menu was 37 Euros so I ended up spending about that much. The red wine that the the server suggested was perfect. Of course the bread was tasty. The first course was escargot with a garlic and butter sauce. I’ve never had escargot before so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I loved the dish. Next up was duck confit cooked in duck fat and served with super good garlic potatoes and green beans. The duck was prepared perfectly and meat melted in my mouth. I savored the whole meal and the experience of dining under heat lamps in January on a street lit with holiday lights. The server paid the right amount of attention to me – not too much like American staff and the dishes came out with the right timing. To end the meal, I had Crème Brûlée and it was perfect as well. The only thing I was missing was someone to share the fantastic meal with! As others have pointed out, they have an English menu and the servers speak English well.

One of the best meals I’ve had in this city. Authentic French food, farm Grown owned by a family. The staff were friendly to us, seated my us quickly and were happy to have us. Soft egg cream with foie gras was my favorite!!! Awesome place! Will be back when I visit Paris again!

This place is amazing! Been there twice now in four nights, and want to go back again! The canard a l’orange is to die for, as is their oeuf cocette. Actually the terrine de canard is awesome as well. The service is great too, even if your French isn’t up to snuff. Very friendly and attentive. Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re anywhere near Paris, go!(But make a reservation!)

Did some Unilocaling upon arriving in Paris, and found this spot with some decent reviews. The restaurant is very tiny and has that family-owned feeling all over. You wont catch many tourists here. It can be very romantic and intimate yet perfect for a group of friends. Given the name of the restaurant being canard, you will mainly find duck here. We started with the escargot which was awesome, of course. How can you not eat escargot everywhere while in France? I ordered the duck tartare with potatoes, mushrooms, and green beans. The portion was large and tasted very fresh. There was an English menu and the waitress spoke English as well. We ordered a bottle of wine and spent around 25 euros per person. If you want duck, definitely check it out!

A humble, little family-owned restaurant steps away from Pigalle, this place offers a variety of duck dishes as the name implies. It has a casual atmosphere bordering on romantic that is very inviting and makes you feel at home. The duck comes from a family farm in Haute Savoie and it has a pretty good quality. Wonderful options(loved the gaspacho) and a nice formule to experience the different dishes. Since it is a smaller space, it is a bit crowded and the prices seem a bit high but ultimately I think it is worth it.

We decided to go to Le Petit Conrad after canceling from another place and was not disappointed!!! We didn’t know what to expect after walking into the small dining room, but the hospitality was great and the food was amazing!!! Everything that we ordered was really good and would recommend it to anybody who wants a great meal in Paris!

This place is a tiny little gem! I don’t eat duck often, and the few times I had it I remember not liking it… but in France it’s just something you need to try. First of all, the name of this place is so adorable. All I picture are tiny ducks… and who doesn’t love ducklings?! Secondly, the atmosphere and the decoration inside was so quirky but edgy. Right up my alley! There were duck trinkets everywhere like rubber duckies and plushies, as well as vinyl from great classic rock bands hanging from the wall. Not sure what they were going for, but I LOVEDIT. My friend and I came here for dinner a weekday evening, and were seated immediately. The restaurant is pretty small but there were only a handful of people, so it wasn’t crazy packed. The waiter was SO nice(and pretty cute ;))! I was intimidated that I would be treated like some dumb American but he was amazingly hospitable and spoke English really well(even though I tried to speak French… he could tell I am not a native lol)! I ordered the escargots as an appetizer, having never tried it before. It is served with a side of bread. It looks really scary(I am freaked out by snails/slugs) but I just tried not to make eye contact and ate it… it was SOOOO delicious! It was buttery and garlic-y…went for it too fast and burned myself oops. As my main, I got the duck breast with a sweet fruity glaze… I believe it was apricot. it came with a side of asparagus wrapped in duck jerky and a mashed hazelnut/chestnut thing(like mashed potatoes). Holy crap I enjoyed this so much! It was just an elegant and perfect meal. Lastly I finished off with crème brûlée because nobody does it better than the French. I felt the same joy as the first time I had crème brûlée in France. So much love! It was all such a great experience altogether. Such friendly atmosphere, great food, and good service. I was there until pretty late that there was just another group of people there. I’m not sure if it was the owner or what but when I left, actually said goodbye to us(in French of course). It felt so homey! I have a very fond memory of this place. Just come here, you won’t be disappointed.

Best duck in Paris and best duck I have ever had in my life! I came here last minute on my last night in Paris as a way to treat myself and stay close to my hostel before it got too dark. I called 45 minutes before I wanted to come in to secure a table for one and the staff was so friendly and gladly reserved me a table. When I showed up I was pleasantly surprised with amazing, attentive, and warm service(I had not felt this in any other place in Paris) and was even greeted by the owner at the end of the meal who introduced himself and some person stories. Aside from all of that greatness, the food was unreal. As a single diner, my stomach could only handle an entrée and dessert but I would have kept eating all night if I could have. My entrée was the sliced duck breast with the honey sauce — GETTHISSAUCE, if you do anything, please. I basically licked the plate clean and would pay good money to pour this sauce on everything and have moist bits of this duck periodically inserted into my daily routine. I got the crème brûlée for dessert and was extremely pleased. I wish I had gotten the smaller sampler plate with the crème brûlée cause I like to add fruit or fruit sauces to the crème brûlée and the raspberry sauce looked amazing. Definitely try this place if you haven’t and are a fan of duck. I can’t wait to return and try more of their dishes!

I had been waiting forever to try this place and it was AMAZING. I was so excited to see cassoulet on the menu that I decided to get it instead of the confit… which I pretty much always eat. The people that run the place are also great and speak English so don’t worry if you’re just here visiting and don’t know any french. I’m definitely going back as much as I can! Side note: When we went(on a Tuesday) the place was completely booked up. So maybe try to make a reservation the day before going!

Excellent accueil, salle rempli d’objets hétéroclites.

«Did I die and go to heaven?» That’s what I wondered after eating here. And since the menu is everything a duck dish should aspire to be, it’s probably what my duck a l’orange wanted to know, too. Obviously you need to be a duck fan to eat here. If you are, you’re in for the treat of a lifetime. I found this gem while doing a Unilocal search for«foie gras.» Even though the place had a rating of 4.5 stars, I was still surprised by the experience. One of the best nights of my life nearly didn’t happen. Since online reservations are unavailable for parties of two and we don’t speak French conversationally, the boyfriend and I made the trek to Le Petit Canard without realizing reservations were necessary. Luckily for us, some couple was 30 minutes late for their reservation. We were sat right away at what would have been their spot, and when they showed up two minutes after us, I didn’t think much of it at the time.(Seriously, who shows up 30 minutes late for a reservation without calling?) Now, I pity that couple because they didn’t get the experience. Don’t get me wrong though. I’d take their table all over again. I just hope they made a follow-up reservation and arrived promptly. Do yourself a favor though, and make that reservation. Let’s start at the beginning… You’re greeted by rubber duckies when you enter. At first it seems a bit silly, but the lack of pretension is actually quite charming. Seating is intimate. The wall art and music selection is all classic rock. Is it French? No. Does that matter? Also no. To start, we ordered the foie gras trio(picking a favorite is like choosing between your children) with onion/fig jam and an order of escargot. The foie gras was amazing, but the jam was a real standout, which is insane. Seriously, how can jam rival foie gras?! The snails don’t come in their shells, which is a little disappointing. After all, half the fun of eating escargot is yanking the snails from their shells, but the individual butter baths they were served in really made for great flavor. We asked our waitress for a wine recommendation, and she suggested the house wine. I normally steer clear of house anything, but her description was a home run. We got a bottle, and it paired perfectly with everything – from appetizers above to desserts below. The main dishes were, in one word, stellar. Actually let’s make that two words: FLIPPINGSTELLAR. I got the duck a l’orange, which fell off the bone and was incredibly flavorful.(I want to take a second and admit that I only ordered my duck a l’orange because Blanche does it in that season 1 Golden Girls episode where she dates the younger guy.) The boyfriend got the civet. He mentioned that it was a little salty for his taste(I tried it, and it was perfect for mine), but I consulted him before writing this review, and saltiness aside, he’d also give the place five stars. Overall, as much as I like to eat, these were some of the best dishes I’ve had in my life. Service was great throughout dinner. That’s all I can say there. Now for the rub: desserts were just okay. OKAY. We got the crème brûlée and the baba au rhum. The former was tasty but nothing too special, and the latter’s rum content was so strong that it nearly got me drunk on its own. After such an amazing meal, okay desserts are sad. I nearly gave the place four stars instead of five because of this, but the appetizers and main courses demand five. That’s how good it is. After only one visit, Le Petit Canard is one of my favorite places in the world. If I had only one extra star to throw at an establishment for the duration of my entire Unilocaling career, I’d give it to this place.

First of all to all foreigners: This place is not pretentious. Service is very friendly even if you don’t speak French which is rare in Paris. I love duck and everything made of it. Le Petit Canard delivers. It was the best meal in a two day stopover. Fantastic terrine de canard, excellent sliced duck breast with mushroom sauce(will post a photo). House wine from Languedoc was appropriate.

We decided to give Le Petit Canard a try since it was a few blocks up from our hotel. From the minute we walked in, it seemed like an authentic French bistro: Small and cozy, relaxed atmosphere, and a great wine list. The one catch is that they only serve duck(which I LOVE!). There were a number of specials in addition to the menu staples, so the ingredients were all fresh. We had the warm goat cheese appetizer while my wife had the confit and I the aiguillettes(sliced duck breast with mushroom sauce). The presentation was classic French bistro style and the taste was phenomenal. In addition, the service was quite attentive but not obtrusive, which is rare for Paris. I’d definitely recommend Le Petit Canard but make sure to make a reservation because they fill up fast.

If you are in the Pigalle area, you must visit this restaurant. Went here my first time in Paris and the food was delicious. The inside is small but charming and the waitress was kind and took the time to answer all my questions. I have the Duck L/Orange and my son had the Duck Confit and we could not decide which was better because they were both so amazing. If you want good food in a friendly, relaxed environment for a fair price, this is the place to go.
