Note. Kitchen closes at 3pm so breakfast is only served until then. I didn’t realize this and luckily made it before 3pm but I saw others miss it. I got the 3rd breakfast which included a super yummy mini bread stick, that was warm and toasty. The bread comes with two flavors of jam, strawberry(amazing) and apricot. A croissant, I wanted almond or plain but chocolate was the only kind left. Two eggs, either scrambled or soft boiled. The eggs were perfectly cooked. Two different types of cheese. And Fresh pressed juice, either orange or grapefruit. I know it’s pressed as I watched them do it. All for 15 euros. The next up breakfast was 22 euros and included pancakes, fresh fruit and bacon or smoked salmon. Far too much food for me. I had the coffee which was delicious and my friends swapped the coffee for tea. We also asked for extra bread because it was so good and didn’t get charged anything extra. The service was good however keep in mind that the menu is in French. Our waitress knew very little French so we had to guess a little at what we were ordering. Either way you can’t go wrong here. It was hands down the best breakfast I had during my time in Paris.

the hot chocolate was legitimately among the best i have ever had in my life. after having two of the worst hot chocolates i have ever experienced while in paris it was a much welcomed surprise to stumble upon this place(thanks lonely planet guide). the croissants were very good(however most of them taste the same at any of the patisseries in paris) but the hot chocolate was worth the visit alone. however, i was incredibly put-off by the fact that their credit card reader wasn’t working yet they were blaming me for the snafu. no other place i visited was unable to complete such a simple task. it was very disheartening to see how snooty and condescending the staff was when the problem was with their own machine! they did nothing to accommodate me and didn’t even apologize for having such pathetic processing machines in their store. just bring cash to avoid the buffoonery of the two shop women struggling to work a machine designed for use by uneducated restaurant staff.

I thought their chocolate croissants were some of the best I tried while in Paris, but my experience was hampered by the very snooty and unfriendly lady who assisted me with my order. She had a scowl on her face the entire time. And yes, I interacted with her in my best French(I know that can be a pet peeve over there). Just get in and get out!

After seeing the great reviews on Unilocal,I decided to visit this place for my last breakfast while in Paris. I wish I had visited sooner. If so, I would have been here every morning. I was surprised to see that we were the only customers in the restaurant upon our visit. When we were walking in, the only woman working there(I assume it’s the owner) was outside, and appeared to be on break. When she realized we were coming in, she immediately stopped what she was doing and came in to take our order and help. My wife and I both ordered the«classic», which consisted of two pieces of baguette toast, a croissant, 2 types of jam, a hot drink, and orange juice. Everything tasted wonderful, and it was such a relaxing breakfast. The woman working there obviously cares about the customer, and helped us decide on what to order. If you are in the neighborhood, and want a good breakfast, look no further!

Unquestionably the BEST breakfast I had in Paris(not once, mind you… but at least four times). The service was wonderful and the QUALITY of the food was second to none. Fresh-squeezed orange juice and warm rolls, accompanied by a croissant, coffee, eggs, two cheeses and the most delicious strawberry and apricot jams. For 15 Euros, this breakfast combination is simply amazing.(See Photo)

This is your typical neighborhood bakery where having a croissant and coffee starts the day right. The place smells great, the staff were very friendly, and moreover everything tastes great. If you are looking to start the day off right, nothing here will disappoint.

A little Parisian spot a short walk from the well known Rue Cler. The restaurant is under new management as of a year or so, and they’ve kept the charm of the spot and the drool worthy menu. Aside from a perfect lunch spot, on a Saturday it’s the perfect place for breakfast. Their breakfast(3 options, from French and light to one with cheese & soft boiled eggs) are priced reasonably and will fill you up. My favorite, the«Le Septieme» has a coffee, fresh juice, a few slices of cheese, bread, a croissant with jams and 2 oeufs à la coque for 15 € … And this is far better than most brunches I’ve tried in paris. Their brunch is at 22 €, and looks divine, I have yet to try it. This place will always be a gem in my book. Precious, delicious food and a friendly staff.
