Terra Nova

Although this is Paris, you’ll swear you’re in Rome while dining here. The food is pretty authentic Italian fare and is delicious.
We arrived on a Saturday night at around 10pm and the place was packed. Luckily, there was a small table and they squeezed us in.
We both opted for pizza (although the pasta dishes sounded wonderful) and we were not disappointed. Perfect crust, perfect size, perfect taste !
Make sure to save room for their tiramisu… it is excellent.
Service was excellent, although our waitress was more keen on texting her friends towards the end of the evening (she disappeared at around 11 and reappeared 10 minutes later in street clothes… was out the door 5 minutes later). The male server was excellent. he dropped by a few times, made recommendations (even though we weren’t in his section)
2 pizzas, one liter of house wine, I diet coke, 1 espresso, 1 tea, 1 tiramisu… came to $ 60 €.

Terra Nova is a nice Italian bistro for those looking for good antipasti, average pasta, and excellent service.
I’ve been twice and both times ordered the seafood troccoli – mussels, clams, shrimp and langoustine cooked delicately in a light tomato sauce in a perfectly al dente pasta. The first time, it was excellent; the second, disappointing. While the pasta was still al dente, the sauce was dry and tasted incredibly fishy.
The service, however, was outstanding. The staff is friendly and attentive, and if they catch on that you speak even two words of Italian they will strike up a lively conversation about la tua vita. On one occasion, our waiter offered us arancello and limoncello after dessert, and then he burst into song!
Next time I go, I’ll try the filet de bar. It looked excellent and my neighbor who ordered it seemed to enjoy it immensely.

Une excellente trattoria. Au menu: Antipasti de légumes et pâtes aux fruits de mer suivis d’une salade de fruits frais. Tout est frais et authentique, y compris le personnel. Je recommande cet endroit.

Fantastic Italian food in a classy French neighborhood off the main drag. The frinliness of the owner and waiter was beyond beleive as was the food. The second night we were their, my friend had brough some free samples of almonds from the food show, and the owner tried to give us the dinner for free! We convinced him that our work was paying for it and he insisted on giving us three bottles of wine to bring home.
Pizza, Pasta, appetizers as if one was in southern Italy. Even the patrons are aItalian and this was as good as the best ITalian fodd I’ve had in Italy.

C’est notre restau préféré… les poissons sont frais et fabuleux… les pâtes exquises et le tiramisu un vrai bonheur pour les gourmands. Sans compter sur les patrons qui sont aux petits soins ! Vraiment on adore !
