L’Ecailler

With our first visit in Port-​en-​Bessin-​Huppain, we decided to ask the tourist office for a best seafood restaurant, with enough suggestion coming from them and also from our landlady we decided to eat here.
Ok first of all the service is not friendly at al, to think that it was just 4 – 5 tables with guests so busy is really not an excuse. We choose our menu and really diagusted by it, my husband have something with fish and a very very sour rice that really uneatable, I had a pot of seafoods in with big fish on it and whoaaaa that was really a big surprise having my menu like that, a shrimp that is overcooked and is softer than a pudding. As a chef i can say that this one is already few days cooked and keep frozen and heat it up with a microwave if someone order it. In anyway that was Such a very tragic first diner of our vacation all the way from Netherlands.

Mexilhões com areia. Surpresa, em vez de substituírem o prato as empregadas discutem a razão do cliente.
Sopa de peixe industrializada.
Raia, boa de qualidade, mas cozinhada sem sabor, sem garra. Também os acompanhamentos denotaram falta de saber .
Vinhos caros comparativamente com a região.
Salvaram-​se as sobremesas.
Única nota muito negativa em mais de duas dezenas de refeições.

Certainement le restaurant que j’ai préfère pour ce petit Port.
Sophistiqué, design, cadre chaleureux et chic. Très agréable. Je recommande.

Presque … bien
Très grand établissement, sur les quais du port, sur 2 niveaux, l’étage disposant disposant d’une très belle terrasse. La carte a fait l’objet d’une certaine recherché et les plats sont alléchants, mais le rapport qualité-​prix n’est pas au rendez-​vous. Le service est prévenant, quoique un peu imprécis à certains moments et un peu long. Compter environ 40 euros par personne: apéritif + entré + plat + vin + dessert + café.

Un diner en amoureux nous a amené vers ce resto de ce joli port normand. Nous avons testé le menu à thème Langoustine (environ 30EUR). Le cadre est sympa, ambiance cabine d’officier de la marine, le service est un peu approximatif, mais rien de bien grave. Les plats étaient très bons, mais né nous ont pas vraiment surpris En résumé un très bon resto à recommander, mais auquel il manqué peut être un brin d’innovation (de folie ?).
