I really liked the Brog! Busy atmosphere and it was free in! Staff were lovely at the bar. Very social place to go to. Live band!

Je l’aime bien ce bar ! 4,50 € la pinte toute la nuit(il me semble), le personnel est charmant, la terrasse chauffée spacieuse. Il règne une bonne ambiance, la musique est sympa. Bref, un bon petit pub irlandais.

The Brog was one of my favorite pubs in Cork and likely the most fun late bar in the city. The crowd was always great here, primarily a UCC student bar. Good pints, fantastic music, and dancing. It’s also nice to hang out on their outside smoking patio which doesn’t get wet in the rain.
Good place, good vibes, but at night the music amazingly to loud !! Beer pong on thursday’s night(it’s a funny game)

Living in Cork for a year, I had quite a few friends who had a love/hate relationship with the Brog. Great place to party, draft was terrible; that kind of thing. I actually really enjoyed myself anytime I was there. The crowd is young, the music is loud and the nights are often ragers. The pub itself is a big enough space filled with nooks and crannies to either stuff belongings or have a chat. I have some great memories of fooseball, lurking down the smoking alley and dancing my butt off with randoms on the floor. It’s loved by locals, especially the college students, and definitely a place you need to experience, if only once. I’m sure next time I’m in Cork I’ll feel a little different about the Brog, but for now, I’ll cherish that smelly, sticky pub.

I agree with Reg and Dave below — this is one of my favourite pubs, used to be my local for a about three or so years, so many many happy(if a little hazy) memories of this place, so perhaps Im a little biased! Having said that, anyone that I have introduced to the Brog has been enchanted with it — I guess my friends really are that cool… :p The place is a must-go-to place if new in Cork, does great music, and possibly the same crowd going in there for as long as Ive known it… dark and shadowy with all sorts of nooks and crannys(crannies?) with posters adorning the walls promoting all sorts of underground indie local and otherwise bands. Love the fact that even if I havent been there in a year or so, the bouncer will still say hey Sharon, how are ya garrr-ill, and get a right ol catch-up on all thats been happening. Love it.

It’s hard to write a proper review of a place you really love. I look past all the short-comings of the Brog since it was one of the first pubs I drank in. Arguably, the best thing about the Brog is the size. It’s a maze of a place, with quiet spots and more lively sections. Even at it’s busiest, you can still find a spot to hide away in. Good music, late bar, lax security, perfect ingredients for a messy night out.

awesome pub where during the day you can get 2.90 pints untill 9PM. There is a variety of metal and rock music played which isnt too loud most of the time. small pub during the day but in the evenings they open up a bigger room to accomidate everyone. Sometimes they have live bands playing or they will have a table quiz. They also have a fooseball table and vending machines incase you get the munchies. Always head there for a nice easy going night out
