TL: DR — The place serve OK dishes but in very small portions that will leave you hungry after spending a lot. The long version: I love Indian cuisine, I was also in India for 13 months. I eat in those restaurants quite often, as I am vegan and usually this cuisine is very friendly for this matter. This place wasn’t vegan friendly, so the very kind but confused waitress had a lot of trouble finding me and my friend decent dishes. On top of all we left the place hungry, as the dishes sizes, compared to thier price were ridiculously SMALL. Very disappointing. When you have another option, try to avoid. Visited December 2015

I like the Bombay Palace. I have dined there twice and both times have been very good. The food is very tasty. I enjoyed the chicken tikka and also a great piping hot balti. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed & comfortable. If you go there before 8:00 pm on a week day they have a prix fixe early bird special for about € 19 for 3 courses. When I visit Cork, the Bombay Palace is on my list.

From the outside this restaurant looks a little shabby but the food here is excellent. The Peshwari naan is a real winner as was the Chicken Tikka Massala. The main courses are enormous so their is little need for a starter of anything more than naan. Overall a good dining experience but definitely somehwere you’d go with your friends, it’s not a place you’d take someone you want to impress.
