I hadn’t been to Captain America’s in ages and was booked in for a team weekend away. Well, we had so much craic here. Not a place for a quiet night, but a big group wou the love it. We had great food amazing cocktails and the staff were so good, great service and really having a laugh with you. Everyone in our group commented on that(and also the reasonable price). Your basic food, but done well, not fine dining but great value and excellent service. We do this trip every year and this will most likely become a regular spot.

This is definitely a burgers and fries place. Service is slow but the food is okay. This would be an okay place to go if you’re with a group of friends and don’t mind the slower service. Otherwise — I’d avoid. The food quality is «meh» and service is friendly, but slow.

One of my favourites in cork. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, staff are friendly. Fun place to sit down and eat, maybe enjoy a few drinks. The Cajun sauce is great, burgers are some of the best in cork, not to fancy, just a big meaty American style burger, I love the fries, always nice and crispy. You’ll never be bored with the wall to wall music memorabilia, it seems like every time I go in there, there is something new to see. Desserts are fab, the chocolate brownie, is near perfect. Something small to complain about, I think the wait time from when you order drinks, till the time the arrive to the table is a bit long. I end up sitting there tapping my fingers against the table, whilst looking at my drink sitting on the bar counter waiting to be dropped down by staff. Very enjoyable spot though, great for parties or a first stop on a work night out.

Captain Americas is honestly one of the best casual fun restaurants in cork. The staff and really friendly and the food is wonderful. It is moderately priced and they have a great drink menu. Try the pepper sauce with anything as it is the most wonderful thing ever. Located upstairs from wagamamas

A group of twenty-odd people I know traditionally gets together in Cork and goes to dinner for a cocktail-loving friend’s birthday every year… to Captain America’s! Their particularly impressive range of cocktails(including all the classics, as well as some really tempting frozen ones like daiquiris… mmmMMMmmm!) is just the start of what this cheerfully camp and kitsch themed restaurant has to offer. What they do best is big olé’ chunks of meat; whether in their variety of tasty burgers or pure steak form, they serve up a mean hunk of beef, American-style. Being vegetarian, though, that’s not much good for me; but with a choice of three veggie main courses(not to mention pizzas and sides) all of which are equally delicious, I don’t tend to complain too much. And then, of course, there’re the desserts… if you have any room left! Continuing the American theme, it’s sundae every day at the soda fountain, with a range of cakes and pies for the grown-ups. It probably goes without saying that, being comic-book super-hero themed, Captain America’s welcomes families, and has a list of kids’ meals to feed even the fussiest eater; what is worth saying is that it’s all served with a smile at prices that won’t leave you in distress.
