Food was average. Nothing wrong with it but didn’t stand out in any way. Pretty disappointed we picked here (based on Unilocal reviews) when only in Cork for the weekend instead of somewhere else

I was in Cork for the weekend and decided a nice brekkie would finish the weekend off nicely and needed something to keep me going to the drive home. We came to Bodega at 12.30 on a Sunday afternoon and was surprised that we got seated straight away. The service was fast and friendly and in no time we had our Eggs Benny’s. I had the original and my boyfriend had the chorizo and chilli. It did not disappoint. The portion sizes were perfect. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and rich and the eggs were poached to perfection!

Just heard that they are only open at the weekend now, I just dont know why but this place has never appealed to me… the food is average and it is just a huge super pub at the weekends, so dancing and pop music etc free in before midnight. a little bit of a meat market… suppose it has its place… but i avoid it!

Waren gestern auf Empfehlung unserer B&B Wirtin. Hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Witziges Interieur, nette und flotte Bedienung. Ein Special ist eine Pizza von der Karte zusammen mit einem der 5 handcrafted Beers der Rising Sons Brauerei von gegenüber für zusammen gerade 10 €. Beides keine Lockgrößen sondern seriöse Pizza und normales Pint. Beides sehr lecker. Kleiner Nachtisch musste sein, der doppelte Espresso war gut und mit 2,7 € günstig.
Sollten wir wieder nach Cork kommen, werden wir wieder rein schauen.

Perfect spot for a lazy lunch mid week, the Jazz brunch on Sunday is a must! Bloody Mary & Chilli Eggs Benedict will clear any hangover!

Can’t fault one thing. The décor of the restaurant is very inviting. The outside area is very pleasant to enjoy a coffee. The service was second to none — from the attentive waiter to the owner who had a personal chat with each and every customer in the place — very obvious this place takes pride in its work from every perspective! Last but certainly not least — the food! I got he chorizo and chilli eggs Benedict after being recommended same from the owner — I have had similar dishes before, but none to this quality! Bravo bodega, first time here and certainly won’t be the last!

This place was amazing. I will warn you, though if you order an app and a side, it will probably be too much food for one person. I probably could’ve gotten away with one side. The décor was perfect. You never knew when you would see a random stuffed bird hidden somewhere peaking out at you. When I say bird, I mean crow/​raven. All I could think about was Edgar Allen Poe. The artwork is tasteful, and I was curious to if it were for sale. The staff were extremely friendly, and the beer selection was stellar.

A great bar in the evening, and an excellent spot for brunch too. There’s nothing like an eggs benedict to recover from the night-​before.
The place does get absolutely jammed around the Jazz Weekend though, but you can’t really blame them for bringing the noise.

Great atmosphere, food and deals. The service is not bad. It is best to go to the front to pay for your bill after eating rather than wait to flag a waiter down.
I liked the veg curry, chicken supreme, fish and chips (watch out for the bones!) it comes with good mushy peas, and the smoked haddock dish was amazing. They also have gluten free and vegetarian options.

Per Zufall reingeschneit. Tolle Umgebung. Gut renoviert. Essen vorbildlich. Ich hatte die Suppe von Tage (Cowlyflower) für 4,50EUR. Dazu gabs dunkles Brot. Ich gönnte mir ein Guinness und einen Espresso. Vorbildlicher Service. EUR8,50. ich kann das nur empfehlen.

Love the place!
In my final year of college in Cork I lived just around the corner from here, so it was handy for nights out :)
Its a great place to relax in the day and a super cool place to party at night.
Good location, near to everything, beautful building, I liked it before the revamp but I think they’ve made a pretty good job of it. Great selection of good, free wifi, you can chill and relax or read the complimentary papers as you wait for your friends.
The only disheartening thing is that they don’t start serving food until about 12 which mightn’t suit if you’re up early for breakfast! but this is really my only complaint, can’t fault the food! delicious!
A great place to enjoy a coffee in the morning or a meal in the evening or a few drinks at night, Perfect for every time of day really! Nice atmosphere and vibe!

On rainy Sunday of November I went to Bodega…
One star for the shop: The place looks very nice from the outside. Once inside I was very impressed. It is very big and, at this time of the year, very well decorated !
One star for the ambiance: It was warm and the waiters were very nice. As I looked around, I could see families with babies. So cuuuuute ! I think this is the real Christmas mood.
One star for the service: I was unhappy with the table and was changed place right way. Also, the drink arrived super fast.
Anything else to add? I am just rating with 3 stars because I didn’t stay long and I want to get to know the place a little bit more before rating my beautiful full 5 stars. I know, I am picky XD

would highly recommend Bodega for a Sunday brunch. Plenty of newspapers around for people to read.
Relaxing atmosphere.
Food is good. Nothing to write home about but good old Irish cooking. By this, we dont mean traditional Irish food — just modern European food but still tasty: D
It is a very popular bar at night — daytime, its a restaurant but at night, its turned into a niteclub popular with young people and students in Cork.
Great craic. Oh yes, they do free wifi there which is a real bonus!
Will come back again and again and again!
