Likely the best fresh seafood I’ve ever had. The menu is handwritten on a board as it changes everyday based on what is caught that day. Living on the coast in San Diego there are many excellent seafood options, but none top this tiny spot. As my Irish friends might say it was Brilliant and Grand.

Enjoyed some of the best seafood I’ve ever had here during a recent trip to Dingle. The service was great and our server was able to help us pick a great wine by answering a few of our questions. I had the monkfish, which came with prawns. The ingredients were fresh and high quality. My dish was seasoned to perfection. If you enjoy seafood, eat here!

Delicious! The chowder was flavorful and not too heavy. The scallops and monkfish was delicious also. The food was fantastic. The service was so good.

Excellent seafood lunch, although a bit pricey. Had the halibut with a salmon starter. Both were very nicely presented as well as very tasty.

A real seafood joint. Fresh fish of many varieties. Very popular place you will probably want a reservation. The service was good but not great as you might expect. I had seafood chowder with the cod dinner. The chowder was hearty, tasty, and the best thing. The cod was a nice fish but the preparation left me a bit wanting, it lacked much flavor. My wife had good selection of gluten free appetizers, meals, and deserts. She had the potato crusted pollock and loved it.

This is how seafood restaurants should be! OOTB is a shack along the waterfront that serves amazing seafood. Everything we had was perfectly cooked — no dried out or rubbery anything here — and the service was warm and relaxed. Definitely a place to try(and keep trying!) The highlights were: Langoustine starter was amazing. Perfectly cooked langoustine that we further picked apart until there were just a pile of carcasses and shells. Delicious. Black sole meunière was heaven on a plate. Perfectly cooked in a rich foil of butter and tasted almonds. This is what my foodie dreams are made of! OOTB is pricey but we drank and ate our fill and it came to around € 55/person which I thought was at bargain given the exceptional quality of the food. Between four people, we shared two starters, each had a main, two bottles of wine plus a few beers. Not a bad deal at all. I can’t wait to come back!

35 euro mains wouldn’t be a problem except we’ve had better service at take away cafes. Overpriced fish riding the curtails of success of yesteryear. We sat for a good 20 minutes before our waitress tended to us. She has no issue hitting the other tables surrounding us giving wine recommendations, or casually conversing. When she arrived we were greeted and asked if we were ready to order. Yes the 20 minutes alone with the menu that provided nothing other than the protein were sufficient to decide on our selections. You have 10 menu selections how about a quick walkthrough of each. Or how about a wine menu. Does this mysterious creature exist? It must, it reappeared at the end of our meal for a nearby guest upon seating.

I’ll add my five star review to the pot. Abby had picked this place out ahead of time and we tried to eat there on Sunday night, but they were booked up. Fortunately, we were able to score a reservation for Monday night. I would highly recommend a reservation. Seating is limited and they seem very popular. There is no standing menu. There is just a daily menu that is scrawled on a chalk board. It doesn’t get fresher than this. I would advise arriving before 6:30 which is when the early-bird menu ends. Abby had monkfish with a red pepper saffron cream-sauce preparation. I had cod with a green curry sauce. There were veggies on the plate too. It was all delicious and quite filling. The wine list is great; it’s very reasonably priced. We splurged and got the cuvee bottle of the house white and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bottom line: great fresh seafood with tasty preparations, good service, great wine list, go early and get a reservation!

Out of the Blue geschlossen.

Das O.O.T.B oder Out of the blue. Nach dem Motto: No Chips, nothing frozen, only fresh or alive! Einfach klasse!
