Marina Inn

An amazing meal. I ordered the cod fillet and it was perfectly cooked (buttery, flaky, and the lemon was a nice touch). Mixed with the mashed potatoes and salty carrots it was a well-​balanced and tasty dish. All my friends raved about their food as well (steak, fish n chips, and the chicken stir fry) and the wait staff was nice and helpful. Would absolutely recommend.

I was on the hunt for seafood soup and this place hit the spot– chunky, creamy and good size portion served with a very nice slice of brown bread for $ 6.50. We also got the deep fried Brie which was breaded and served with a nice side salad. The fish and chips came with lots of medium size chips and two big pieces of breaded fish and side salad for $ 13.95, definitely worth it.

They got some good food. We tried the burger and fish and chips. Really big american size servings. Nice sports bar and restaurant. Busy on a weekday but then again it’s a small town and almost vacation period for most travellers. Only one waitress in there and 1 bartender and a full house. So expect to wait.

Nice atmosphere, good beer selection. Customer service wasn’t great, but the food was delicious! We ordered the Hake fish and chips. The plate was substantial, with plenty of crispy chips, a little salad, and a huge chunk of fresh meaty fish. Very impressive!

1* For the food: We had a vegetable soup that was warm and tasty, followed by a fish and chips. The batter was thin, tasty, not overly greasy, and the fish was cooked to perfection! The chips were not too chunky not too cooked. Amazing really :)
1* For the place: Traditional looking, clean, comfy seats, and warm. We went there on Easter sunday and it was open, which was a plus: D

1* For the atmosphere: If you want to feel the Irish vibe, I highly recommend this place!

Arrived late into Dingle and we were very hungry. The atmosphere was nice and the lamb stew and chickens, leek and chorizo pie was outstanding! Service was warm and friendly!

This local pub was one of the few spots open late and it’s conveniently located for anyone staying in the area (right on the strip) — after 6 pm, parking is free across the street at the marina. The pub ambiance adds the perfect vibe, the food is delicious, the portions are generous and the service isn’t terrible, which is a plus! The menu offered a nice variety which was a pleasant change from the other places we’ve eaten in Ireland. We ate here both nights we stayed in Dingle and were quite pleased with the experience overall.

Super spot well located just opposite the pier. Good cross section of customers from locals to tourists. Bar food very good and refreshingly good value for money in light of the usual high prices in Dingle which seem to be the norm. Even times are lovely with good musicians and banter back and forth with the audience.

Fresh fish, served in a pub setting. The fish and chips were great, but the Cod over mashed potatoes was the clear winner! So. Much. Butter.
Wait staff were a delight, and the Live music started at 9:30. A nice charming Dingle night.

We found this place through Unilocal and just missed a giant wave of tour bus traffic. The manager was running around making sure everyone was happy and we got our food lightning fast. Sort of embarrassed to get vegetable stir fry in Ireland but I needed something light after a week of heavy food and it was fresh and delicious. My fiancée got the fish and chips and said the seafood chowder was amazing as well. Cute place right on the tourist strip.

I have been coming to Dingle for decades. Unfortunately, more than not, good & reasonably priced barfood is hard to find. However, I eventually visited the marina inn. This was due to its rating on Unilocal.Result. food was fabulous. Mussels, hake & death by choc. 2 kids meals (fish goujons homemade & fab).staff v attentive, nice & v helpful. main courses were 14 € roughly & excellent value. Great menu & well balanced. nice mix between pub & grub. definitely worth a visit. kid friendly

Lovely grub, even nicer pint, picturesque views of Marina of Dingle, staff attentive and friendly. There seems to be a solid flow of patrons at any time of the day. Definitely worth stopping in and having a pint. There’s also exceptionally good trad sessions most evenings for those who like a bit of live music. Tv ideally located to suit all Local sports.

Seating was a bit tight for the group of eight of us.

To be honest I needed the loo after an epic kayak around Dingle Bay — we even saw fungi, woo!
So we high tailed it to the Marina Inn where we were welcomed in and let sit at the bar, as we decided not to be rude and to have a drink. They had a great selection of craft beer and cider here. It was a little difficult to decide at first, with the selection, but in the end we both went for the MacIvors Traditional Dry cider and it was delicious. So nice we had a second one and sure while we were at it, we decided to have out dinner here too. We were happy to eat at the bar too, so there was no need to move.
I went for the fish and chips, my partner the monkfish tempura. Neither dishes were amazing, but they did the job and filled a gap. The tempura wasn’t light, it was like regular fish batter to be honest.
The staff were really nice here, the floor staff appeared to be playing a blinder when more and more people arrived in for their dinner.
Recommended, especially for their craft beer selection.

VISIT #1
On an off season Tuesday night, this was one of the few pubs open with live music. Good music from a couple of Irish blokes, 4 euro pints, and solid selection of whiskeys under 5 euro. Nicest barman and brunette glasses barwoman. Good times!
VISIT #2
Food runs a little pricier in Dingle. But our B&B owner reccommended we should eat here too for good food at reasonable prices… right she was! My 12 euro Cottage Pie (like Shepherd’s pie) was meaty, hearty and delicious. I believe all Irish beef is grass fed too! Wife’s 12euro Fish N Chips was probaby in the Top 3 we had! The skin left on the fish added a lot of flavor. Finally the Best Seafood Chowder in all of Ireland: the 6 euro seafood chowder was rich, thick, full of meats, and spectacular! It by itself would make a nice lunch. Sadly, we were too stuffed for dessert.

As per previous Unilocal reviews: the seafood chowder was bitching. We were in Dingle two days and one night and I think we had seafood chowder from here three times. It was thick and chock full of large hunks of fish, including full mussels and clams!
A must try when passing through Dingle. Get the soup from the takeaway window in the early evening, sit on the benches by the docks outside, and enjoy your soup with the sunset.

Excellent food and service. The seafood chowder was THE BEST.

Incredible cod and hake! The seafood chowder had huge chunks of fish and salmon inside. There were only two guys working there on a cool weeknight. The bartender was also the waiter/​server. The cook would take his apron off and watch some soccer when it was quiet. The pub was pretty busy as not much else was open and serving food.
I have to give this place 5 stars because the seafood was SO incredibly fresh and delicious. Afterall, it is located next to the main fishing dock.
Also, the bartender was so kind to us. We were exahausted and our phones weren’t working and we needed to call our B&B to say we would be late. He kindly offered the use of his personal cell phone. It’s not a cheap place to eat but for around 60 euro we had two bowls of chowder, two seafood meals and two beers.
We will certainly be back to Dingle and the marina inn!
