Butlers Choclate Café

Absolutely love Butlers ! I come for the delicious hot chocolates which are normally a winter treat but on a rainy sat like that I thought I deserved a treat! The hot chocolate drinks (best served in a takeaway cup) is smooth and rich and creamy. You also get a free choc with every hot drink. I try to change it up but usually go for the salted truffle — yum. The choc croissants, oatmeal cookies and scone are also faves of mine. Make sure you sign up for a loyalty card ! #dublinfoodporn and it’s Irish! None of that Starbucks nonsense for me!

Is it a coffee shop or is it a chocolate shop? Who cares, it’s an absolute winner!

The staff was attentive and very polite. I only had a take-​away latte and they gave me a little chocolate treat to enjoy.

I like this spot much better than the one on Grafton. The service is fast! There are more selections than the one on Grafton and it’s way less crowded here.

This is my favourite of all the Butlers cafes, the service is fantastic and there’s outdoor seating.

I live really near this café and come here quite often for coffee. I love the cappuccinos and flat whites here, and you get a complimentary free chocolate. But unlike the other Butlers cafes where you can choose any chocolate, in this café you can only choose out of a selected few which changes once in a while.
There is a larger seating area compared to the other cafes, and it can get quite packed in the late afternoon/​early evening. The staff are really friendly and very efficient at making coffee, and you choose between full, low fat, skim or soy (extra 30 cent) milk. Also, if you come regularly be sure to get a points card to get every 10^th drink free! For people who like chocolate, everyone tells me that Butler’s do better hot chocolate than anywhere else!
The only negative is that it’s always quite full so it’s hard to get a table seat and door is usually open so it can get quite chilly. The price is the same as other coffee chains like Costa and Starbucks, but here you get a free complimentary chocolate. However, there is no free Wifi like the other two, and since Butler’s tends to be small and noisy, it’s not the place to come to study/​work, but more for a chat or take away.
Out of the three main coffee chains in Dublin (Costa, Starbucks and Butler’s by the looks of it), I’d put Butler’s second to Costa on my list for quality and good service.

Uma boa pedida para quem quiser fazer uma pausa enquanto passeia pelo centro de Dublin. A fachada toda de vidro permite observar o movimento do centro saboreando uma das delícias que servem lá. Especialmente o Caramel Macchiato, acompanhado de um dos chocolates especiais, que são o carro chefe (recomendo o de caramelo com noz macadâmia — Hazelnut).
Também é muito legal para um programa a dois, fica na mesma reta da Ha’penny Bridge, a ponte onde casais costumam pendurar cadeados com seus nomes.
O pessoal que atende é muito simpático e atencioso, e paciente para explicar as opções oferecidas na casa, que são muitas. Alguns brasileiros trabalham lá, o que facilita bastante no caso de clientes brazucas!!!
Algo muito atraente nos café servidos no Buttlers são os desenhos que são feitos nas bebidas (Latte Art). Se você pedir, eles fazem o desenho no balcão mesmo, para que você possa ver como é feito! Animal!

A nice café to stop for a breather and a chitchat. We had some hot chocolates (it seemed like the thing to do here) and a slice of cake and received some of their own chocolates — complimentary, of course — to go with our drinks. Marvellous.
All in all a nice coffee/​chocolate shop. Only a brief stop here but I would wholeheartedly recommend Butlers to any others seeking some refreshment. However, with this much chocolate available, it may end up being a little bit indulgent.

i love the coffee from here and the fact you get to choose a little butlers chocolate to nibble on. coffee is just the right blend, mellow, tongue tasty but a bit on the expensive side. i could buy a jar of arabica coffee in Aldi for the same price of an americano with hot milk! but its nice to see your coffee being freshly ground from the beans.

I have a habit of being an absolute girl about some stuff. One such thing is Butlers hot chocolate, which has to be hands down the girliest non-​alcholic drink around.
I’m a sucker for the stuff, it’s so rich and chocolatey, and when they add the big dollop of cream and the chunky chocolate shavings on top, I mean, it’s really divine. Then they give you a little complimentary chocolate too *sigh*.
So, get me my pyjamas, a box set of the Gilmore Girls and call me Sally cause this stuff is delicious.

Zum Reinknien! Egal ob Pralinen, heiße Schokolade oder ein einfacher Americano! Einfach nur super lecker! Man kann entweder bei schlechtem Wetter gemütlich drinnen sitzen, bei gutem Wetter muss man allerdings großes Glück haben einen von den wenigen Plätzen vor dem Café zu ergattern. Aber man kann auch einfach einen Coffee– oder eine Hot Chocolate-​To-​Go holen und es sich an der Liffey gemütlich machen. SUPER: Zu jedem Getränk gibt es eine Praline dazu! Ein Muss für jeden Schoko-​Fan!
