Really disappointed by this place, I’ve been wanting to taste their food for a while now and I finally had a chance the other day. First of all the service was pretty bad, I took my food to go but the guy was still quite rude. I took a pad thai and I was impressed on how greasy my noodles were, besides that it was quite tasteless and I had only ONE shrimp on my whole pad thai…

I have had issue with Camile in Phibsboro. So I was not exactly excited to check this one out but it was raining and I was in the area for work and needed some dinner and I wanted to eat relatively healthy. So I popped in to give it a shot. What I do like is they calorie count the menu. How accurate this is would be debatable but it is a good guideline nonetheless for those of use watching our calorie and fat intake. I ordered the Pad Thai. It was a good enough portion when it came to the bulkiness of the noodles but flavour wise was a little bland. There was 3 prawns and a few pieces of chicken, so for the price it was a bit scabby. I’d say the mark up on this particular dish is HUGE. There is one table inside to sit and eat. Not ideal with the door openeing and closing on a cold and rainy night but it did the job. Would I be back? Maybe. I would not go out of my way but if I was again in the area and looking for something healthy I may pay a little visit.

I recently moved to Rathmines and naturally got a craving for late night Thai. I had a look at just eat, saw camilies and read some reviews, they were mostly very positive and decided to order a customer favorite; the green duck curry. It took forever and just because time passes by slower when you are waiting for food. 1,5 hours I waited for my food which is way to long especially considering that I’m 10 minutes away from the restaurant. I’ve now ordered from here a few times and the delivery time is just very long but well worth it! The food is incredibly delicious and I could see myself becoming very addicted to the green duck curry. I have to go here for an actual meal sometime to see if the service is anything like the food.

I really enjoy Thai food and often walk past this place in Rathmines and think it both looks and smells great. Happened to have a takeaway leaflet from them in the house on a rainy freezing night when I fancied neither shopping nor cooking, so rang for delivery. We got a few main courses– all of which were beautifully made and presented and tasted wonderful. I would definitely go back for further orders even though I thought the price was a bit steep. This was slightly annoying as the delivery charge was also excessive– three euro– on top of the original price. The fifty-five minute wait that night was also too much as we were very hungry(and very nearby) but overall the food was absolutely worth it.

How can green curry BESOGOOD?! This is seriously the best green curry I’ve had in Dublin thus far. We ordered takeout after having tried Camile at a Unilocal event. Food came as the time estimate we were given said, and we even got a meal deal for two(so saved a few euros). Everything was great!

First I should say that I am not a huge Thai food fan. But I am always for for trying, and so I did. Had the superfood satay stir fried with chicken. It was served with brown rice(lots of it), in a creamy satay sauce. I wasn’t tasting like… life changing. It was comfy home delivery thai food. Portion was huge, ate half of it only. Vegetables were crisp(loved the broccoli!), but hey we’re in Dublin it is VERY difficult to make veggies delicious, I believe. On the positive note, loved the way the food was delivered: super cute box and a customized paper bag. The delivery guy was spot on time, and came up all the day to the third floor to deliver the pretty bag for me. The price then? I think it was 15 euro for a curry + a couple of Euros for delivery. If I would have eaten it myself, I would have considered it too expensive. But if splitting it in two, the price is alright.

Mixed thoughts about this place. What I ordered was top notch stuff, delicious but my what my mate got was very poor, and the pork belly was the closest thing to inedible I’ve seen from what seems to be quite a well run place. For what we got and quality it seems a bit on the pricey side but I’m sure they have plenty of great dishes but from my experience it seemed mixed.

This place is pretty good if your looking for a reliable thai take –away. Normally its a toss up between Saba at home or Camile. Works out really inexpensive if you are an O2 customer as you can get 25% off orders over 10 bucks Sun — Thursday

I feel soo bad about my review, the day after it was posted I got a call from the restaurant they apologized and sent me a 12 euros promo code for any 2 dishes. On one hand I don’t want to order again but then I feel like I should give them a second chance. Anywho, I’m gonna give them an extra star for the customer service which is extremely rare when it comes to takeout.

It was a Sunday evening in Rathmines. I was with my girlfriend looking for a place where to eat. We were looking for something different so we came in Camile Thai. I don’t remember to have eaten Thai food before in my life. It was probably my first time. The ambient was relaxed, clean and cosy. The only issue were with the door and its automatic closing feature. Every time a customer came in the local, the door was slammed back causing big noise ruining the atmosphere(That’s why I didn’t give 5 stars), but this is can be fixed with no problems and fortunately they weren’t so much people came in. The toilette was clean and tidy with the scent of a lighted candle in the bathroom. Food was good and the price affordable. We spent around 11 Euro each. I went for a duck recipe but unfortunately they didn’t have ducklings at the time so we choose pork recipe instead. The man at the desk, I suppose the manager of the place was polite and he didn’t rush us for the order. Our food arrived in a reasonable time and they were delicious. If you don’t know Thai it is little bit spicy so if you have problem in spicy food probably wouldn’t be the best for you, I will definitely go there again if I am in Rathmines.

I went back tonight to try one of the new test dishes, Panang Beef. It was delicious! Nice pieces of tender meat, lovely chunks of vegetables in the creamiest and most divinely spicy coconut milk. I loved it. I told you I would be back and I really do hope Camile’s does well. It deserves to. Great quality food, really nice staff, beautiful décor and reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

Not a bad Thai, but pretty pricey I think for this type of food. Recently they have started serving on plates /bowls instead of cardboard pots which is an improvement. When we were there the second time the ice-cream machine was making so much noise that it was a relief to leave and get out onto the busy street. I think the place is improving and the friend rice dish I had was very good, my partners dish was however a little bit to hot. Far to much chilli for the type of dish. It made my teeth ache from one mouthful! Although some might like that I guess. decent service but not amazing.

Camile’s my new favorite haunt, You go in, find a table, have a look at the table mat menu, rememeber your table number and then go up and order, pay for your food, collect your own plate and cutlery and then go back to your seat(yes you fend for yourself) By the time i sat down my food had arrived. it was that quick, I had the rice special, which lets be honest it is a bit of everything, but its what i wanted. Good size portion and very tasty with a glass of the house red. Now the house red comes in a water glass which is a bit strange as there is such a thing called a wine glass, but its a minor niggle. The interior is relaxing quiet /subdued. (Whats the ice cream cone for)

Not really knowing where we wanted to eat, we walked past this Camile Thai in Rathmines and thought«Huh, this is new». Decision made. Nicely decorated inside, its newness still shining. We ordered the Massaman curry with chicken and the Pad Krapow with beef to share. Both were really nice: the Krapow was hot, as the menu promised. The beef tender and tasty. The Massanan curry was yummy too. But I think the krapow was my favourite. Staff were polite, helpful and friendly. i thought the food was reasonably priced too. We’ll be back.
