I’ve been in Lanigans few times, only for my lunch break. Pub is nicely decorated, for some ppl it might be over the top. They do lunch menu for 6 € which is very good price in the city centre. Food is typical pub food, like pies, fish&chips, curry, soup&sambos etc. Good portions and tasty. Staff is friendly, service was a bit slow but it didn’t bother me much. I would go back.

Love the décor, good service, generous pour of Jamison and best cheese burger i had while traveling. Other diners plates were also licked clean. You could tell this this place had a regular cliental not just a tourist trap.

(I’m from America, so I’ll be writing tips mostly for people who are also new to or visiting Dublin!) This has become my favorite place to eat in Dublin. The Cottage Pie is amazing and the lunch price is great, available till 4pm!(Dinner is a little pricey for a backpacker) I love their Fish & Chips, too, it’s always a battle to pick one. The lasagna is just ok, a little bland, kinda mushy. John tried the lamb soup and thought it was just ok. That’s all we’ve tried so far, I keep getting more fish or pie, haha. We’ll absolutely come back before we leave Ireland! The service is friendly and it never takes long to get your server’s attention. Most places in Ireland(and England), you order and pay at the counter, sit down, they bring it to you, end of story. But here, you can order at the counter or pick a seat, and they’ll come to you. They’ll even come clear your dishes and offer dessert. You pay at the table, they can bring the CC reader right to you, it’s really the closest you’ll get to table service without paying a lot! People really don’t tip here, unless they pay with cash and just leave the coins. Sometimes if someone was really good, though, I still leave a little! * The four stars are only because they don’t offer /allow you a glass if you bring in coffee or tea from another business(I realize this is tacky, but I want YOUR food and MY coffee! If I pour it in your glass no one has to know: p) I admit, though, I haven’t tried the coffee HERE, so I don’t know if it’s good or not! I’m pretty picky about coffee, so once we found our coffee spot here, we stay faithful to it :) Enjoy Ireland, it’s incredible!

The décor is exceptional, and I loved the seating, tables with candles, and the atmosphere. Downside: there was a pretty bad smell permeating the pub. Like drink had been spilled and allowed to go sour. It was really off putting.

Great location and a good place in a typical Irish style. Perfect to enjoy good time and to avoid crowd. The staff is nice, the beer is good… What else? You can go beyond the bar to take a nice photo if you ask the staff! Maybe not the best place to have a party in Dublin but it’s safe and friendly!

I’ve never actually drank in Lanigans Pub but I’m sure they pull a good pint. I love the décor — all dimly lit, full of antiques, knick-knack paddy whacks give a dog a bone sort of stuff. The reason I’ve popped into this premises has been lunch. It’s near where I work so it has been a handy place to pop into to, to refuel. They have lunch deals that I haven’t tried many of apart from the soup and toasted sandwiches/panini and chicken salad which I give a thumbs up to. I can’t recommend or advise against the rest of the menu I’m afraid. The staff are friendly. The clientele mixed. As the pub is actually part of the Clifton Court Hotel, I’d say it’s a hopping base for parties of lads and lassies out on the town over on holidays or long weekends during the evenings of peak season months, but I’m only speculating.
