Lennox café has now closed but its sister café is just around the corner on the canal called the Table.

Flathúlach wodges of mouthmelting French toast with sizzly bacon slices. Huevos rancheros explosioning with more flavours than a cookery book index. A full Irish where each bit is decent in and of itself, versus the kill-them-with-quantity school of breakfasting. OJ that should come with sunglasses. A beatific and puritanical and also very tasty bircher muesli that will make you feel extremely monkly just KNOWING it’s on the menu, unordered. This café, this institution of uppery Dublinites, is so popular and busy every weekend that you’d nearly be tempted to dislike it just out of spite, but good luck, because it’s more or less perfect. And they never cut corners on the quality of the food, no matter how busy they are.

What more could want when living Dublin other than to live next door to one of the best brunch restaurants in the city? Lennox Cafè is a true delight filled with a brunch menu of Eggs Benedict, French Toast and their famous Pancakes. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Though a tough spot to get into on a Saturday or Sunday, it’s worth the wait(it’s never been more than 15mins for me) as the food is delicious, it’s surrounding are sweet and the staff are really friendly. The only criticism I have for the Lennox is they can be flakey on having a Bloody Mary in the café — sometimes they make them for you sometimes they say they don’t do them anymore. Top tip — if you don’t care to wait they have a sister restaurant around the corner called the Table which is just a delicious as Lennox and it’s that bit quieter

One of the Best places for breakfast/Brunch in Dublin. I went for a brunch with my friends and tried their scrambled eggs with mushrooms, egg brioche(came with a minty mustered souse) which tasted really good. I also tried their French toast with honey and ice cream. Another bonus for this place; they have a good coffee. I Tried their cappuccino and espresso. Also, I highly suggest their Esspresso cerme brulee. which i fount almost perfect. Overall, the place was really nice and cosy.

The Lennox is a nice neighbourhood café which is really popular at the weekends resulting in queues and waiting times. Obviously giving out about a restaurants popularity would be obtuse but be warned that there is usually a wait. The problem comes with the staff. I can’t figure out if they’re short staffed and unable to handle the non stop flow of customers or if they are just unpleasant. It really is hard to tell. I felt uncomfortable trying to get one of their attention to order a drink which is not really conducive to a glorious brunch. The food is tasty and generous and the perfect antidote to a Saturday night out. Coffees were delicious too.

Here I am again… Not knowing where to lean, left or right… It feels bit tight. She never smiles but«who cares!!!» Food is nice!!! !!! So well presented in nice small portions, So many colours, so many flavours. She won my heart; table for two? Bring please some fish and chips, some crab salad and chicken quesadilla, and whatever my neighbour is having! Your knife kills me so softly, bill is not big… Who cares!!! I’ll come back to my dear can of sardines… Not knowing where to lean, left or right… Left or right… :D Love this tiny tasteful place

Unilocal’s top recommendation for Brunch in Dublin gets my thumbs up! I took my mum here for mother’s day(don’t start), we arrived here a bit before noon and were given a seat downstairs straight away. By the time we left people were waiting for ten minutes, so arrive early. The café is stylish and clean, the background music pleasant and the staff friendly. The atmosphere was chatty, but sitting downstairs or outside is preferable to upstairs where there are a few more tables, but it looked a little out-of-the-way and you might miss the buzz of the place. Our table wasn’t huge, but there’s more space than some pokey places nearby. We were given water straight away(not getting water is a pet-hate of mine!) and had ordered within five minutes, but never felt pushed. The menu is pretty normal for brunch around the city, but looking at the tables around us it was clear the food was presented exquisitely. The eggs benedict, in particular, look divine. A number of people around also ordered«The Big One»(essentially a full Irish) which also looked amazing, though the beans didn’t look quite appetizing as the rest. After some humming and hawing I ordered the scrambled eggs with salmon, with a flat white, and mum ordered the pancakes and a pot of tea. The coffee came out first and was delightful — a little bitter but not too foamy and perfect temperature. The food came a short while later. My salmon was delicious, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. They came on toast with a lemon and baby tomato on the side. Mum’s pancakes came with some squeezed lemon, butter and a few berries. They tasted scrumptious, not too sweet but plenty of flavour. Our only complaint was that they weren’t piping hot when they came out so by the time she was half way through they were a little cold. Overall I’d recommend it. It’s not too expensive for brunch and I’ll definitely be going back. Thanks Unilocal

Tucked away near G.B.Shaw’s birthplace is this lovely café! Shaw wrote a vegetarian cookbook that my mother has in her kitchen. Somehow the connection is all there, and it is all good!!!

This is hands-down the best café in Portobello and possibly in Dublin(?) It’s on a sweet, quiet, tree-lined street with indoor and outdoor seating available to patrons. The menu items are fantastic — you can’t go wrong with any selection. And, they offer lovely espresso bar beverages to warm you up or a tasty Bloody Mary to really warm you up! I’m a big fan of breakfast; so, this gets my ‘best breakfast’ award in the Dublin city center. There may be a wait when you arrive, but it’s worth it. I’ll have a cappuccino and everything on the menu please…

I have been meaning to write an update for this place for ages! OK, so the food remains excellent. My now favourite dish of choice is the French Toast with Crispy Bacon. The toast is light and fluffy, with the maple syrup it’s just divine. The only downside is the staff, they are generally fine at their job, but one girls never seems to smile and doesn’t look happy anytime I am there. And its contagious as I am now feeling sad for her. Also when the place is completely manic(which can be most of the time), all pleasantries are thrown out the window as they scramble to serve everyone in a timely fashion. Over all the food remains great, but the service can be improved.

The best breakfast in Dublin. I would recommend all the food on the menu. The place is always busy. 5 minute wait at the most for a table. Wish they did dinner.
