There needs to be more places like this in Dublin! Its very cool, theyve always got random things on and the crowd are real easy going! The coffee is pretty good too. One thing I would say is, and i know its the style, but the couchs are so gross! They’re so old and decrepit! Please change them… Or at least give the material a wash but dont change anything else I love what you guys are bringing to Rathmines!

The interior is super quirky, there are bathtubs filled with books, table games or simply pillows! The walls are painted with big bright illustrations and you’ll find a lot more weird décor details all around, even in the bathrooms. There’s a lot of space inside and big tables, so don’t be afraid to show up with a small group. Hawker Café serves food and coffee, I really liked the veggie panini, but there’s a lot more to choose from. Laid-back and inspiring, this is a good spot for socializing or even getting some work done.

Another spot that dons the Hat-of-Milk-Alternatives as well as the Hat-of-Hot-Chocolates-Made-From-Real-Chocolate, and for that I raise my delicious almond milk dark hot chocolate in thanks. Nice open space to sit and work away on your laptop in and very, very nice staff

I was here recently for a Unilocal event, and to be honest, I had NEVER heard of this place before the event. It wasn’t difficult to find at all; well located near the big church in Rathmines. I’ll admit when I first walked in, I was kind of like, «Um, what is this place?» with it’s crazy décor… plants in toilet bowls, couches in bathtubs. Definitely a hipster vibe here, but the atmosphere is great! It’s feels like a community centre in a way with it’s big open space, the book exchange programme, and loads of seating areas. The café inside(Hawker Café) is AWESOME. It’s run by the guys at pasta box(if I remember correctly). I don’t know if they serve the same food each time, but the night I was there they had awesome panini’s, risoto balls, and venison lasagna. They coffee as well, although I didn’t have any while I was there… it looked good! Definitely a neat place to chill with your mates.

A very interesting and unique place for the arts, music and fun ideas. Lying in an inconspicuous building in Rathmines, its façade doesn’t make justice to the quaintness within. A good place to check once in a while, something that you would usually find in Temple Bar, but in a different(nice and calmer) neighborhood

We went there recently with my boyfriend for an elite Unilocal event, and that was really nice. I was glad to discover a place like that in Dublin, this concept reminded me of what I love in Berlin, it’s awesome to have those kind of places, open to all types of arts and exhibition… I look forward to get some news of this place and go back there. We had the chance to taste the Hawkers’s café cuisine, and that was reeaaally good ! I loved the paninis, I’m not supposed to eat some but my boyfriend tried some and I just couldn’t help myself, I tasted it, and even took some more, the one with parma ham, cheese and balsamico was one of the best paninis I’ve ever eaten, and I was a huge fan of paninis before !! I also liked the book/vinyl exchange in the entrance, it’s a nice idea ! Something that would probably never ever work in France since people would probably steal it, I find this awesome to do something like that and I would definitely bring a book to exchange next time.

Have you ever been here? If the answer is no, you need to. There are bathtub couches, a book exchange, flowers and plants, colourful street art, comfy seating, whopper music, and a whole programme of stuff happening from secret cinemas to flea markets. Oh and free, fast wifi too. In addition to this, there is a new Italian pop up café, Hawker, by the guys from Pasta Box. I haven’t sampled the coffee, though I hear it’s amazing, but I can definitely vouch for the food. I had a roasted veg panini which was packed with colour, flavour and delish veg. Dublin needs more of these spaces. All power to them.

Great atmosphere and décor, it’s indeed a place for those who enjoy contemporary art, besides the awesome drawings and decoration there’s a Italian café in this place which offers great Italian food(the best lasagna I had in Dublin) paninis, arancini and much more.

Great little spot! Why has it taken me so long to have a looksee?! Love the ambience, the people, the décor, the hipster feeling, the bathtubs, the cisterns, the stage, the food, the location, the comfy couches and seats… stop me! Great for local hipsters heads, coffee on the go for early morning going to work heads, and, next time I’m in I’ll be drinking my coffee from a cushioned bathtub heads!

I loved this place last night at the latest event. The décor was all about the art and a real talking point. They have a bath on the wall and books for exchange so that you can relax on the sofa. The staff fed us some wonderful food, lasagne with venison and chicken and avocado panini while musicians played for us. I forgot about the BYOB but at least they had some mulled wine so I wasn’t too disappointed. I thought the toilets a bit weird with filled in urinals and a cubicle on each side. A bit of a lack of privacy. I assume they decided to use the ladies toilet for something else. The only other negative for me is that I live the other side of the city otherwise I’d be here every week.

A Berlin Style Food Hall, with food venders and art spaces. All I saw was BYOB, so immediately I’m a fan ;) I love the style of the place. Bright and airy. Lots of bright colours too. There is an un-usual amount of baths in the building as well… not sure why, but sure they make the place more interesting. We arrived in for our dinner, a pie dinner from the Pieman stall more precisely. And it was yummy. We sat at a bench and sated our appetites. There was carafes of water on the counter that we helped ourselves too. We hadn’t brought our own beer on this occasion. But do plan to make use of this BYOB policy they have in the future. There was spoken word performances that evening, but alas we arrived in between the two sessions. The following night there was comedy. All free. How cool is that? There’s a café here too as well as the Pieman stall. I spied juices being made while were here. Excellent, I really like Martcade. I think other people will too. Recommended.
