This place has awesome food and service. The Irish stew was great as well as the fish and chips. The Irish whiskey selection was also great. I had Teeling whiskey which is one of the best I had in a long time! The staff was also very friendly and we enjoyed the ambiance.

Meh! The Aperol Spritz we ordered was so bitter… definitely not how it’s supposed to taste and so, we were bitterly disppointed.(literally) It’s a nice place to sit out on their terrace, but paying a tenner for a less than enjoyable drink wont have me rushing back! The wine I ordered after tasted cheap and vinegary as well.

Ah, The Bailey — so many great Celtic Tiger nights here and always a good spot to catch up with friends over a glass(or three) of wine. My most recent visit was on a Sunday around 6pm and it was reasonably busy but not overly so. A band was starting up so maybe it would have good more lively later on. The décor is modern and clean. There is a heated terrace outside with blankets for cooler days. Staff are always friendly. It’s just off Grafton Street so it can get busy on weekend nights. Prices are what you would expect for the location. They serve food too but I don’t think I have ever eaten anything in The Bailey!!! Back in the day I bought two snipes of champagne here for something ridiculous like EUR20 each and subsequently won a prize from a newspaper(Sunday Business Post) for the most expensive drinks in Dublin. Fun times!

An impromptu mini Easter Monday pub crawl started here at The Bailey and all because the in laws needed a cuppa and a sit down after checking out some of the 1916 festivities in the area. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it: P While two coffees were the choice of some, I opted for the Irish version of the cup of joe and my hubby a cider. Staff were very attentive and the order came quickly. A tad pricey here, but I wouldn’t really expect anything else from a bar situated just off Grafton Street. The outdoor seated area was heated too, which was needed. It was a lovely day, but on the chilly side. Grand for an up market city centre bar and an afternoon break.

Do you know when you just want to talk to someone in a nice, quiet place, preferably outside? Do you like to sit outside in cold days but dislikes the cold? Here they give you blankets besides the outdoor heaters. It’s pretty much the definition of nice. And yes the wine choices are great. Have some olives or other bites to go with it by the way. Yes, the check at the end will be pricier than if you had gone somewhere else, but you probably wouldn’t have enjoyed as much elsewhere.

A nice cosy bar/pub that isn’t too bright and loud, doesn’t make you feel like you should be wearing something much smarter/isn’t full of students and fake tan yet it’s certainly not an ‘old man’ pub. Not too hipster, just a nice relaxed atmosphere and a great location. A good wine list and a nice ‘all day’ type menu with a great cheese and meats board. I’d recommend the patatas brava and the calamari– both very nice. Lost a star because it’s quite difficult to get someone’s attention to actually order the food– it’s not very clear(or wasn’t to us) if they were just not very observant that we wanted to order or if we’d misses the point and they weren’t doing table service.

Absolutely love this bar. Great food menu and drinks. Love sitting out side in the winter with supplied blanket strewn over your knee. The fish and chips are amazing!

Enjoyed the potato tapa and people-watching on the patio. Not a fan of cigarette smoke, but that is hard to avoid in Dublin. Recommend.

It’s very cute. Decent tapas inspired menu. A bit expensive. Food is just fine, about 3.5 stars, maybe not quite as good as I’d expect for the price. But you’re paying for the location and the lovely setting. It feels a bit posh but is still very approachable. Service was great. Several champagne cocktail options. Great cocktail menu in general. Hooray for large green olives as one of the options. It was just the perfect spot to linger and nibble and warm up from the cold on a Feb afternoon. And service went above and beyond, as well. 4 days after we’d been here, my pal realized she’d left behind her shopping bag with some children’s books for her daughter. She emailed Bailey and they still had the items in their«lost and found» storage. She was able to make arrangements via email to collect her forgotten items in a few days when we’d next be in Dublin. Hooray. Lots of outdoor patio seating, with complementary blankets and several heat lamps. I was initially baffled why folks would sit outside on a freezing February afternoon, but then I realized they were smoking. So it’s nice that the establishment makes this as pleasant as possible. And I imagine it’s a great place for a pint and people watching in summer.

The Bailey is a cool spot for happy hour /after work drinks on a decent day. Bring in the rain and this spot gets more than a bit stuffy and begs for ventilation. Keep it in mind when the doors are open, there’s breathing room, and you can enjoy the outside space as an option. 3.5 stars as it’s an attractive space with a cool buzz on an inviting day. Great location off Grafton Street! Cheers!

If you’re basking in the sun or huddled under the heater in the cold there’s no better place for people watching after work or a trip to the shops. They’ve a good selection of beers and wine, prices are a little higher then other places but in the location it is you would have to expect it. The food is good but I’ve not eaten here too often. The staff are very friendly and offer great table service and are happy to start a tab for you.

I like the Bailey. I drink here on a semi-regular basis. The staff are lovely and they have a very nice bar. One of the best parts of this place though is the outdoor seating. You are right off Grafton so you can watch all the people go by. In the evenings they turn on the outdoor heaters and hand out blankets which makes this place very unique. One thing to note though, if you do sit outside and are at the tables next to the velvet ropes, DONOTPUTYOURSTUFF on the table. No phones, wallets, handbags, etc. The one drawback here is junkies tend to walk by and grab things and run. I have seen a few mobiles get lifted in this manner. It’s not a problem though if you don’t leave them sitting right there.

One of Dublin’s best bars. Matt and his colleagues offer amazing service. Get a seat outside and enjoy the atmosphere that Dublin has to offer. Only advice is watch your mobile phone if you leave on the table.

Liquid Lunch anyone? This is a great place for the daytime, in the summer, when you want to have some wine in a relaxed atmosphere, sit outside, and have a chat with friends. I’ll agree with other reviews on here regarding the bar’s clientele as a mainly after-work group, along with a decent amount of people who are on business trips being taken out by their local colleagues. I suppose that yes, it’s about as power suit as you get, but let’s be honest people, we’re in Dublin… we only get so pretentious… There is always a place to sit, and the bar staff is super friendly. They’ve got really nice wine selections, and people watching here can be quite entertaining — that’s really all I need to have a good night with some of my girlfriends!

Decent place if you are lucky enough to be served by old school staff. Newer servers have poor attitudes and work ethic. Better for drinking than eating! Wine list is ok, menu is a bit lacking. Got the spanish cheese tapas tonight — 2 cheeses, pickled onions and Carrs crackers. Is cheddar a Spanish cheese? Right, didn’t think so! Anyway, still a great place for wine and people watching.

I really enjoyed the Bailey. I came in here to escape the rain and grab a few pints with a friend and it ended up being a really nice night. They have two screens to watch any games. Blue Moon on tap too — sigh, gotta love Blue Moon :)

I’m keeping this brief as I only called in for a quick coffee before work anyway outside they give you blankets to keep war with you other half or yourself etc… Such a great idea I think… I’ll go there for pints maybe tonight!!!

Nice place for a lunch or an evening drink. Tapas was tasty but they had run out of most things when we arrived. Would go back again and try it one more time when they have most things on the menu :-)

I would be a frequent customer of The Bailey. Usually I meet the girls here for a drink on a Thursday, or if we go for brunch on a Sunday and want to sit outside and have a chat if it’s a sunny day, we head here to try and get one of their outside tables. Not an easy task! I’d also go here regularly on nights out. It never gets too busy. But there’s always enough of a crowd for there to be a good atmosphere. They do good wine(none of those crap little bottles, it comes form a big bottle… ohh, posh!) and do a bar food menu too.
