I’ve been back several times for beautifully baked bread, some lunch treats (very fresh and ripe fruit at an affordable price), and yesterday, to buy a decadent, dense little chocolate cake to give as a thank-you gift.
I actually expected the recipient to take the cake home, but instead, she managed to find a bit of cutlery in her office drawers and sawed into the jewel-like thing! I have to admit, it was a serious treat. Rich, not overly-sweet, and decorated just enough to be finished and elegant. At € 13, the price was fair.
What was also nice was the recipient’s reaction; she hadn’t been to one of the bakery’s locations yet, but she’d seen them and recognized the name.
Glad the Ranelagh location is living up to expectations.
