It has a Google sort of feel to it. It’s very casual however, the F&B is extremely good, very consistent! I think it’s a great place for meeting friends and chilling out over a nice cup of coffee. The music isn’t too loud and it has a vibrant vibe. Very much catching on to Millennials. The wifi is also very good and of course it’s free(no login needed).

As a regular customer of Cinnamon, I was hugely disappointed today with my visit at lunch time. Myself, my sister and my mum all ordered The Superfood salad with chicken. The salads arrived(with no chicken) as if someone had thrown lettuce and some nuts into a bowl. When we reminded the waiter about our chicken he grunted and walked off to the kitchen to get it. When he came back to the table with the chicken he threw it down in front of us, whilst stating«it wasn’t my fault it» and storming off. The chicken looked like it had been sitting in the kitchen for several hours/days. After we finished our salads we offered coffees. Once again our order was incorrectly taken, and we had to again tell the waiter what he had forgotten. And once again he was rude and far from apologetic. Needless to say all three of us have since had upset stomachs since eating the salads earlier, and despite our fondness for Cinnamon, we have decided we definitely won’t be back. This is the first time I have ever felt the need to post a negative review online for any restaurant, and found my experience today hugely disappointing. Bad service, bad food and no surprise the restaurant was half empty!

Totally decent food at reasonable prices. Not amazing, but not bad. Decent wine list. I think we were all in and out with drinks and some desserts for under € 50, though the menus and whatnot made it feel a bit like a chain — I think it is a chain of two, and more power to them. It’s solid without being spectacular — don’t go out of your way but if you’re in Ranelagh you could do a load worse.

Food average overall. Took 1 hour to get seated despite an being told initial it would be 10 mins. Forgot to bring out a few orders despite multiple calls, overall atmosphere is good but food and service very poor.

Extremely disappointed with my food here. Wish I had checked Unilocal before I came doh! I had French toast with bacon. The toast was soggy bread and the bacon tasted so aweful. It was not fresh at all. Looked like it had been lying around all day. This was 2.30 pm so it obviously had been. Following this food, I ran to the bathroom and let’s just say, I was pretty hungry afterwards. I told the manager who assured me all orders are cooked to order and it must be my senses. Unreal and condescending to say the least. Never again shall I eat here and I don’t know why it’s always so busy. Yuk!

Shocking service, so bad we just got up and left. A simple order of two soup and a side of fries? What could go wrong? Everything, over 20 minutes waiting for this order, asked a waitress if they could check on its progress, returned with a mouthful of BS and soon after arrived with the soup with an ever so appetizing film on top of each soup along with the wrong bread that was ordered to accompany it and no chips… the chips… which the waitress informed us they had ran out of… at 4pm on a sunday… so it was at this moment with two waiting staff just staring blankly at me the drastic but right decision was made to leave…

I have been there many times for cakes(I usually go to the one in monkstown). So far I’ve tried the carrot cake and the banoffee — both were absolutely delicious.

We went for brunch on a busy Saturday morning. It was loud. Really loud in there. But, it looks like this is part of the atmosphere. We had to shout to chat. Which is a negative for me. But the only negative. We walked in and thought we’d be waiting ages for a table. Luckily we found one straight away. The look and feel of the place is really nice, comfortable and cool. Very ‘on trend!‘ The was ordered and dished up very quickly.(always a plus). We both ordered eggs royale & benedict. Don’t be fooled by the smallish portion. it kept me full all day long. The food itself was gorgeous. Best eggs I’ve had. Well worth the 11 € per dish. Looking forward to going back.

The food here was nice. That’s about as excited as I could get. Coffee was very good. Service was disgraceful. Ridiculously slow and the staff didn’t even seem to attempt to be welcoming or helpful. Very disappointing, as the restaurant itself has a cosy charm.

Cinnamon is solid without ever being spectacular. The best thing about this restaurant is that is opens earlier than all the other restaurants in Ranelagh which is helpful if you somehow make it out of bed before 11am on a Saturday or Sunday. The atmosphere and the ambience of the restaurant is quite good. It has a wholesome feel to it and that also is reflected in the look of the food. It has a large breakfast/brunch menu which tries to be artisan without going overboard. I had the French Toast with bacon which was good. It was simply presented. The other people in my party had omelettes and eggs Benedict. Normally I like to look at other peoples food and say generic things like«OHH that looks good» but none of the food here gave me that feeling. The prices are very reasonable and you shouldn’t have a problem being seated. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good solid breakfast choice in Ranelagh.

Yum! I heard a lot about that place but never went. last weekend was time to finally go for early brunch! Atmosphere amazing, very vibrant, nice staff and quick. Busy and still personal, loads of kids around here. Food: big portions and delicious, pancakes are amazing!!! Bacon should be crispier –that would be the only thing to mention. Coffee: delicious!!! I’ll be back! Next time hopefully with crispy bacon

I’ve gone back here one too many times to give them another chance. T E R R I B L E service and mediocre food. Every time the place comes up in conversation I hear another horror story about staff being beyond rude. The location is so amazing, I’m so sad that this is what ended up here and people keep going for lack of other decent café options in Ranelagh. Nil point.

Lovely creamy eggs Benedict is a casual environment in Ranelagh. For dessert we had one of their huuuuuge chocolate cakes that gave me enough endorphins for the rest of the day. They have newspapers sitting around too which is nice if you get tired of talking with your friend/lover/Tinder-date/daddy or whomever you’ll bring here. Great atmosphere which for me is one of the key indicator for a good spot. iIf wasn’t for the fact that Ranelagh is such a hike from my place(yes it is true unfortunately, Dublin makes you LAZY), I would be back next weekend again.

Nice décor, upper level coffee shop on the way to restaurant. Yet the food is so basic that you would rather only have tea and coffee… Deep fried saussages and beans is the most substantial I could find on the«brunch» menu. Underwhelming but not disgraceful. Some of the cakes are worth the calories(Lemon drizle, brownie)

The only thing consistent about Cinnamon is disappointment. I can’t count the amount of chances I’ve given this place and I always leave irritated by something, whether it’s the bonkers prices, a rude staff member, poached eggs swimming in vinegary water or their«pecan» pie which is chock full of walnuts with only a few pecans studded on top for show. What a waste of decent coffee and a fantastic location/space. I give up!

This is a really nice big place– was surprised by the size as most places in Ranelagh are cozy small. Menu is good– lots of things I wanted to eat. I had the haddock pie which was very tasty and filling! This was after a Caesar salad to start which was only ok. Atmosphere was good for a Wednesday night– not too busy. And the service was good too. Would definitely go back. It is a little pricey, but it could be worse as quality is good. Next time will try desert– was thinking I would have to have something with cinnamon in it, but that doesn’t seem to be the real theme of the place:)

Love the décor! It’s like a posh Irish house in the 80s! Or maybe a cool hipster house nowadays! I particularly love the cosy couch section at the back — and they open a large window in the front when it gets hot — pretty cool! Service on the night was great and quite quick. The chilli pan fired prawns and chorizo were cooked amazingly well — the best prawns I ever had out in fairness. The saltiness of the chorizo was a nice added bonus. I like that I also got a side of bread to mop up all the chilli juiciness from the pan, and I don’t care if it wasn’t graceful! For mains, I had chicken stuffed with black pudding with horseradish mash and mushrooms on the side. Couldn’t fault it. Chicken was tender and juicy and the gravy was very moreish. It’s a busy spot so I’m glad I booked ahead even though it was only a Wednesday night! We didn’t have dessert but they looked awesome and the array of them at the counter… Stop me! I’ll be back here to try many other things on the menu including the dessert menu. All of it. Great for first date heads, meeting up with old friends for the goss heads, and drooling over dessert but still want to get it so you bring it home in a doggie bag when nobody is looking heads!

Although this place is a little pricey, I LOVE coming here for breakfast and coffee. They always have healthy options(and unhealthy ones if you want that too). They even sell paleo brownies at the counter. Normally I opt for the greek yogurt and granola. Each time, tasty and filling. I’ve never been here for lunch/dinner. I’ve looked over the menu for dinner, but in my opinion it seems a bit pricier than I’d care to pay. Highly recommend for breakfast though!

Cinnamon has a bit of a rep for being a serious yummy-mummy/rugger-bugger hub(especially for weekend brunch) but it’s only recently that I’ve realised how the vibe completely changes in the evenings! Whilst the place is a bit manic during the day, bursting with people desperate to be seen through the gorgeous big front window, evenings here melt into a much more chilled, candle-lit setting. Again during the day the service can be a bit hit-and-miss, but the other night our experience was really top quality; the staff were efficient, well-informed about the menu and more than happy to get us anything we asked for. We ordered the cheese board, prawns and hummus plates to start, which were yum. Followed by the goats cheese and beetroot salad for our main, we were too stuffed up with cheese to even look at the dessert menu(which was a shame because the savoury stuff was so good, I could only imagine the sugar-heaven that awaited us in the desserts.) I’d highly rate this as a nice evening hit-up for groups and intimate dinners alike

This places gets really packed and noisy at lunchtime so try come early to relax in the lovely atmosphere. I love this place, but so does everybody else seemingly as it is really busy a lot of the times. But this place is so good when it is quiet and you can just sit back and watch the Ranelagh hipsters go by. The food here is gorgeous, I have only been here for coffee and lunch though, I am yet to make it for dinner. The lunch menu is great and the goats cheese salad is just morish. The goats cheese is warm and it is served on a bed of really fresh greens, apple, honey covered walnuts and roasted Irish beetroot. What’s not to love? Although at € 12 I think it is a little steep. They do really creative sandwiches my favourite being Hummus, Artichoke, Roast Peppers, Sun Ripe Tomatoes & Onion on warm ciabatta for € 7.50. The portion is huge and I always feel very satisfied after one of these bad boys. The coffee is good, the cakes look amazing and they have a good selection and they have an impressive wine selection too. The staff are great, nice and friendly and not too in your face. Overall a really nice spot and a great place for a first date too.
