Today my daughters and my parents and I had lunch here. We were very happy with the taste, quality and presentation of all the meals. My girls chose crispy golden squid and prawn toast to start… perfectly cooked and generous and nicely garnished. My Dad and I had hot and sour soup… yum…and Mam had her favourite ribs which she enjoyed too. For mains we had Beef Chow Mein, Fried Bean Curd(Tofu), Sizzling Beef and King Prawn with Cashew Nuts. Dad tried the Tsing Tao Chinese beer… light and a little sweet… The girl who served us was friendly helpful and unintrusive… and my daughter got a little birthday suprise to finish… All in all a great little place charming clean and a few cute touches in the décor… and great value set lunch… we will be back!!!

This Chinese I must say is truly excellent. I heard many raving reviews of this place, but I wondered if the food lived up to the hype. Well was I proven right! The delivery was fairly quick to come, food was to die for and they included prawn crackers which were also the-bomb-dot-com. Highly recommend this Chinese.

Very, very good Chinese restaurant. I’ve dined in here and the service and food are very good. They also have a takeaway delivery service which is very quick. Highly recommend this Chinese restaurant.

Love the food here. I sometimes eat in, I sometimes get the take away, either way the food is always great. The staff are very friendly and the place is lovely and clean. When I get take away, I always collect the take away myself, so I found it strange that they asked me for my phone number every time, now I know, they were counting the number of take aways I was getting so they could give me a 15% discount on my third order, what a great way to reward loyalty.

When the great China Sichuan Restaurant(Kilmacud, 1986 — 2009) closed and made the(risky) move to Sandyford Industrial Estate, the head waiter Tim and a number of the best chefs jumped ship and set up Gong. Though not cheap, Gong offers the best Chinese food in this extended area of South Dublin. I particularly recommend the Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Seasame Prawn Toast to start with. I’ve eaten there a couple of times and have got countless takeaways. The food is always of a high standard and the service is always impeccable. It’s on a different level compared to the local rival Treasures and the recently closed down chineses: Jumbo and Pings.
