IHOP is a very safe choice for breakfast, which is why it is so crazy busy. However, the line moves quickly. My friend and I order the pancake breakfast with bacon and choice of the type of pancake. We got whole grain blueberry and oat and nut(or something on those lines). Everything was very good and came quickly. I like that even though they are busy, they don’t really rush you.

Let me start saying I am a huge fan of IHOP, to the point I go almost every weekend. That’s said, I wish I had never visit this IHOP, at Brentwood Mall. By far, again, by far, it is the worse IHOP I have ever been. Luckily, I know what is IHOP quality, otherwise I would never think about going back to an IHOP. I had a omelett, pancakes and coffee. The omellet was so soggy and mushy that was flat in the plate. I thought, OK, it could be only the appearance, so I decided to try and it was horrible. Pancakes looked and tasted they were re-heated. I am surprise IHOP allows a franchisee to serve that kind of food and use their name. If you want to find out what is a decent IHOP, try it, visit any other one, and you will find out what I am talking about. It is sad.

I have to admit — after reading the other reviews I wasn’t looking forward to breakfast here, but low and behold I was pleasantly surprised! I had the Split Decision breakfast and it was a-ok. There were two of us and we ended up in a larger booth which was more comfortable than a smaller two-person booth. The coffee and food was good — eggs, french toast, pancakes, bacon — yum! Good way to start our Sunday morning.

Another ihop with slow service. Im okay with relaxing and taking my time but once the waiter put our bill down mid meal(which they always do) we never saw him again. He didnt even tell us we needed to pay up front. Food was okay. I had the international passport crêpe– 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon and a choice of crêpe(I got the fruit crêpe). Hard to mess this up but also difficult to make spectacular. My friend’s pancakes werent fresh at all and the double blueberry sauce looked more like old paste. Even if I lived close, would probably choose something else in the mall.

I only come to IHOP to eat Breakfast items ’cause that is all one should be doing when coming to IHOP. All other menu items look scary. It’s standard breakfast menu items in a setting that looks like a seniors hang out. Prices are still slightly higher than Denny’s but good for what you get.

This is by far the more preferred one compared to the seedy one on Kingsway or the old, cramped one in Richmond. Lots of booth seating, neatly arranged too as you’ll notice when you go the washrooms to wash your hands before you eat, like I do ;) Friendly service. Good waiting area, part facing the mall too so you’re not all bottle-necked at the front doors haha. My winners are the swedish crepes w/orange marmalade sauce and the strawberry danish crepes.

Just OK. 2.5 –3 stars tops. The breakfasts are much larger in the menu photos and quite skimpy in real life… Maybe Im spoiled at the massive portions you get at Dennys in the USA. Not overly cheap or expensive. The place is just OK… The things I do like is a full personal carafe when ordering coffee and choice of flavoured syrup.

There are not alot of breakfast places around here but I really do think that this place is ok but my only weird experience was when I ordered the french toast, all I got was like a frosted donut… I asked the server if this was a mistake and she said it was«their» version of french toast. In my head I was thinking I could of simply just went to Tim Hortons and gotten the same thing. I like my french toast with eggs and bread and maple syrup on top. I think that’s the way it should be. IHOP, please make real french toast, or take it off your menu!

**Birthday freebie review*** I would come to this establishment even if it wasn’t a birthday freebie. This place has a great family feel and it’s great for all ages. The rooty tooty fresh and fruity was the free treat of choice(or equivalent pricing). It’s your all American/Canadian breakfast meal. Bacon, eggs, blueberry whipped cream pancakes and a serving of fruit on the side. A definite hearty breakfast must have. Along with the freebie, we ordered a country omelette which includes ham, cheese, onions and hash. Yes, this was omelette country indeed. Over a dozen to choose from off their menu.

It’s IHOP, consistently mediocre food and mediocre portions. Oh and consistently mediocre service. You know what your getting… so it’s hard to be too disappointed. This location can get pretty busy but the wait is usually not too bad.

I only come here when I feel like breakfast and I dont like pancakes so I just come here for eggs, hashbrowns, etc. There isn’t much to say about the place, it’s had the same décor since I was 8 and the food is pretty mediocre. I find the portions pretty average or less and not really worth what they charge you. The most recent time I went, the waitress was nowhere to be seen after she brought our food, however other tables seemed to be getting the«how’s the food/how’s it going» pleasantries. I also noticed how the waitresses tend to have their fingers in the food when they bring it out to you… My most recent visit was also my last.

It’s an IHOP! Consistent. Looking for all-day breakfast? IHOP will be there. Tasty options, decent service, screaming kids, reasonable price. Probably a long but fast moving line up. I’d never hesitate to eat here if I’m looking for a quick pancake /waffle /crêpe. Wouldn’t recommend taking a date. I’d pick it any day over McDonalds or Burger King, but then again I’d starve before eating at McDonalds or Burger King.

To celebrate looking for wedding dresses, I went with my mom here for breakfast. OHMYGOSH! I am not a huge of crepes, but I got the International Crêpe Passport… sure I get eggs, sausage and bacon, but that’s not the important part. I got the Danish Crêpe with Apple Filling. It was topped with whip cream and stuffed with sweet cream cheese(?) and cooked apples. Why didn’t I get this all the other times I’ve had mediocre food here? I also got to try the spinach and mushroom omelette. The spinach wasn’t overcooked and still tasted like spinach. It was also covered with what I think is hollandaise, but it was kind of grainy. I sampled the steak omelette. It was kind of gross. The meat looked like it was sliced and then squished back together when it was cooked. I didn’t like it. Since I needed more sugar, I also ordered a strawberry lemonade. I thought it might have actual strawberries(I don’t mean fresh, but actual strawberries) in it, but it was syrup instead. Our service was good. Nothing special, but good.

Not the best place for food… but better than McDonalds across the way, that’s for sure. In this part of Burnaby, options are slim pickin’s for a good breakfast so IHOP is definitely one of the best choices. The pancakes are tasty, and I like their multigrain pancakes. However, they can’t really be that healthy once you load on the butter and the syrup. Service is decent and prices are average. It’s very typical of a Denny’s or a Shari’s(in the US).

I’ve been here a couple times for breakfast on the weekend and the place is always busy. This time out I chose the Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity(2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 strips of bacon &2 buttermilk pancakes with your choice of toppings: cinnamon apple compote, strawberry or bluberry — all with whipped topping). It was quite good, especially the cinnamon apple compote with whipped cream. But what I really like about this IHOP is that for a very busy place, the service is always friendly and good.

Breakfast for dinner? SURE. This is your kind of place if «Sure» was your answer. They offer scrumptious pancakes and waffles with whipped cream, fruit, and syrup, along with healthier selections around eggs and toast. Whatever it is that you eat for breakfast– you will be able to devour it here. The staff is super friendly and are clearly trained to give fast service. Maybe it’s because everytime I come here, especially in the mornings, I have to wait because there are so many families here. And if you come in the afternoon — you’re gonna be waiting because there are so many seniors here!
