I learned while in PEI that the mayor of Charlottetown wants PEI to be the food capital of Canada. This place is a tremendous attempt to underline that effort. Grass fed PEI beef(much better than grain fed), lovely wine cellar… this place along with several others in Charlottetown proves to me that this city and its food is at par with Toronto food(queen west, lesliewille, junction etc) if not better.

Probably the best restaurant in town! The food is excelente, the beer is as always very good and the service was worthy of 20% tip or more! Just a tip: Go for the bar, is more enjoyable and you for sure will make friends!

Being a tourist, naturally you do your homework, walk around and scope your selections out and then decide. This place had class and charm and a certain level of old world cozy that has become hip again. I sat in an arm chair near the fireplace sipping a Goose cosmo and waited for a seat at the bar. The cocktail was lovely ! Perfect balance ! Started with 1 of each offering of oysters. Being from Rhode Island I’ve had plenty in my day. Sadly, I must return to Little Rhody USA and white lie about theirs being the best ever. The house made cocktail sauce and fresh grated horseradish was absolutely perfect! So smooth! Very little acidity ! Then I ordered a 14oz rib eye with PEI crab legs, garlic smashed potatoes and the most delicious fresh yams I’ve ever had! Oh, can’t forget the biscuit with molasses butter as a first offering ! I paired this with a classico Italian red. A ltitle more full bodied than I had hoped considering the beautiful delicate natural flavors of the sweet crab, meat and fresh veggies, but I am the one that selected it! Still delicious non the less! I had a lovely in depth conversation with the bartender Monica and the chef Shak from the kitchen, needless to say it was worth the wait and worth closing the restaurant down to get a personal touch feom them. I can’t say enough about them and their hospitality. 10 stars from me! Till next time

Try the other restaurants first because once you come here you won’t eat anywhere else. We had seafood linguini oysters on the half shell and bruschetta. They threw in their biscuits and we were in heaven!

Wow. Left so full, but wanted to eat more. The seafood bruschetta was a server recommendation that exceeded our expectations. Had to leave the C21. Conference to have lunch there

I had a lovely time at Sims while out on a ladies night. The evening started outside on their patio enjoying some drinks and appys. I had the smoked meat samosas. I was pleasantly surprised with their flavour, although no Indian spices what so ever. It’s simply just a samosa shell with smoked meat inside, accompanied by mustard and sauerkraut(if I remember correctly). I do remember LOVING the salad they served with it. The dressing was very yummy. Later, we ventured inside where we ordered our mains. Although they took some time to bring out, my lobster tail and garlic mashed potatoes were on point. Very, very satisfying. Note, the portions are smaller but I really didn’t mind. My sister in law got the chowder and the sizing of that was much, much bigger than some other restaurants. She was a happy camper! Another girlfriend enjoyed the steak and had mac & cheese on the side. It arrived bubbling hot and let me tell you, it was a melt-in-your-mouth type of goodness. I left with fond memories of Sims.

Very disappointed. The seafood linguine had hardly any fish. The chef cut up one scallop into small pieces for the serving given to our table . Salmon did not taste fresh. Only meal that was good was the halibut . Also restaurant extremely overpriced for quality of food served. They were charging last night $ 50.00 for a one and a half pound lobster served with one side. Ridiculous.

Sims Corner in Charlotteown, PEI, is a must-dine/go-to if you have a love of indulgence and passion for food. You must have lobster if you visit the East Coast so we started there. My tenderloin was delicious, and the baby red potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The wait time on the oysters annoyed my travel companion which annoyed me but I wasn’t as hungry so it was alright nothing is ever perfect. I had a signature cocktail to start that came with a sprig of rosemary in it and a wooden stake. it was fun trying to drink around all of that I love to have fun with pretension. I got a great portrait of myself in our red velvet booth — classic. We shared a bottle of red wine with dinner and our waiter suggested where to go off in search of trouble afterward which I appreciated. Fishbones which I understand is also run by Sims was a gas. Thanks guys! Def recommend.

The food here is the best on the island. Come with an empty stomach though as the meals will fill you up.

Incredible food, delightful service, and beautiful ambiance! We loved this place so much that we went twice over the course of the 2 days we stayed in PEI. The oysters are spectacular. So delicious and superbly shucked. And the ribs appetizer! To die for. So sticky sweet and fall-off-the-bone amazing. Also had the filet mignon and halibut as mains, and they were phenomenal. The biscuits served before dinner were an added treat, and Marly, our bartender, was super friendly and fun. The cozy seats and funky lights and quirky downstairs space tied it all together. Hope to be back soon!

WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW. Best splurge restaurant in Charlottetown!!! I had the Bruschetta(shrimp, scallop, goat cheese) and the chowder and both were INCREDIBLE!!! I shared the Steakhouse Frites which came drizzled with both aioli and a balsamic reduction/glaze. TODIEFOR. The bread that came to the table was wonderful — the accompanying butter was lemon-dill, I think! The bread was so deliciously warm it didn’t even need butter. Other table temptations: Steamed Island Mussels — the day we were there it was tomato and basil, but it changes every day! Oysters — not my cup of tea but the table went for the broiled option and NOONESPOKE from the time they arrived to the time they had all been eaten. And that speaks volumes!!! The table was definitely agreed on the«Beef, Bacon and Bleu» as the favourite appetizer, with the Shrimp, Scallop and Goat Cheese Bruschetta the second favourite. Swordfish Steak was tasted by most at the table and everyone groaned at its deliciousness! Fois Gras POUTINE. YUP. WHAT??? With the aforementioned aweseome frites as the base, smothered(in a good way) in fois gras jus and Bénédictin blue cheese. Woah. Obviously the food is out of this world. The service and ambiance are great too — note it is very dark, which is kind of lovely! Finally, as if it couldn’t get any better, they are Ocean Wise-friendly too.

So so so good. We were there during the«winter dine» specials, so we had a three course meal for $ 35. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chocolate mousse was excellent. The whole restaurant is beautiful, with the burnished wood, the comfortable chairs and the paintings. We sat in the piano bar section so we had piano music all night. Absolutely lovely.

The saddest steak I have ever had. The veggies were overlooked and sad, just not the meal I was expecting!
