NSLC

This is my new «home» NSLC, only about 7 minutes away. Unfortunately, this tiny location has a crappy bourbon selection (my number one criterion in rating LCs), but they don’t really have room for much. When you enter the store, there’s a great selection of Nova Scotian wines, which is great– and they have a great sale/​recommendation section in the front as well, often having something attention-​grabbing if you’re looking to try something new. This leaves liquor-​purchasing a brainless task. Also, the staff here is incredibly helpful and quick to help you make a choice.
I award stars for friendliness, and this store’s got it. Whether discussing the marketing intention of Jost’s 4 Skins wine, or the proper temperature for mulling wine, the employees of this store are perhaps the friendliest of all NSLC locations I’ve visited. One fabulous employee looked up my favourite bourbon (Bulleit!) on her own time, and gave me the number of the store where I could get it next time I was in.
This location, minutes from the Dartmouth Bridge Terminal, is a perfect place to grab some drinks after you the ketchup chips you bought at the No Frills complex, on your way to your friends’ place in central Dartmouth.

Just off of the Bridge in Dartmouth is a convenient stop on the way home with some treats for the adults.
