I never buy anything here unless it’s on sale. Good brands. Typical Bay /Zellers move… Le Creuset on sale big time. Promo started 3 hours ago and the selection is non-existent! Not even 20 pieces in total for the WHOLE collection! Sales person tells me that Sydney probably got all the«good stock»…Sydney NS. Such BS!

When I’m in the mood to shop, I head to dartmouth to The Bay. I always find something. They always have great deals. 15% off if you’re a member on certain days, they have Bay Day Deals! Shoes and purse heaven! Love love love The Bay!

The Bay. What can you say about The Bay? Other than it’s A-Ok. I’m gonna stop rhyming now. We browsed through the upstairs section which is full of their household goods. The kitchen goodies are vast, the dishware is lovely, and the furniture is just tragic for the most part, but it’s a fun way to kill fifteen minutes. The clothing, makeup, and whatnot is down on the lower level, and while it’s fun to browse through the racks and sniff the perfumes, it really isn’t somewhere I can actually shop. Most of the clothing is too old for me, or just too pricey for what it is. There’s a MAC section as well, which is like a little mini store. Sometimes it can be too busy and cramped, but it’s still nice to have.

I love The Bay. The(long-gone) Halifax location had nothing on the Mic Mac location. I love the selection of brands, I love the variety of price-points, I love the abundant sales, I love how the women’s section seems to go on and on, I love how large the men’s section is … I just really enjoy clothes shopping here. Upstairs is a bit of a mish-mash and it’s honestly not even on my radar for kitcheny-homey things. Sometimes trying to find a cash counter can be a trial. But in that regard they are no different than Sears, and I’d much rather shop at The Bay TYVM. Sales staff have always been friendly and helpful, although finding one not attached to a cash register is difficult. Fortunately most of the store is self-serve as far as trying things on goes(ie, the fitting rooms aren’t locked and no one insists on counting your items). I almost always find something in this store.

The clothing selection here is nothing to get excited about. While they try to boast designer lines, most of their product is very plain or dated despite still having the elevated price tag for Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, etc. They may not realize that most of the same brands are available at Winners(down the hall) at a lower price for more interesting items. My visits to The Bay are almost exclusively for their perfume and cologne department. They have one of the widest ranges I’ve ever seen(making up for my first unsuccessful stop at Shoppers), the staff knows their stuff, and just about anything comes with random gifts-with-purchase that make nice add-ons to your planned Christmas shopping.
