Disappointing as they taste more ‘watered’ down or add tons of cucumber to offset having to add the proper labeled ingredients. Not even close to juciery’s you experience in places like Vancouver, Toronto or L.A. Not to mention the attitude of some of the staff is very pretentious and rude. Save your money and check out Café Mosaic which makes great juice for a better value.

After sampling several of Glow Juicery’s juices at the recent Unilocal Fit Club at Barre Body Studio(their other location), I passed this location and thought I’d check a full sized juice($ 8) out. Unfortunately, I should have given the original location the business. When I entered the store, I was not greeted at all — the store was empty and cashier was not helping a customer — she did not look up and acknowledge me. When I had a question about some of the juices I hadn’t yet tried, she did not smile, and only half-heartedly answered my question after a long awkward silence in which I was wondering whether she even heard my question in the first place. With regards to the actual quality of the juices, they are ok but not worth $ 8. The citrus glow(orange, lemon, ginger, and coconut water) is my favourite. However it’s a pity that there aren’t really any other options for fresh pressed juice in the city, because compared to the juices I had recently in LA where there is a juicery on every street corner, this stuff pales in comparison — flavours are limited, less appealing combinations, and doesn’t taste as fresh. Had I not had this experience, then I would probably rate this product higher, but in the grand scheme of things, they can do better. Finally, it is too bad that they don’t offer samples of their products. If I’m paying $ 8 for a juice it’d be nice to try flavours before I buy. Maybe to save money and preserve freshness they don’t have to sample every juice every day, but maybe select one juice to sample to customers each day?

This Glow Juicery just opened, located just off Whyte Ave. The interior is fairly small, with no seating — just a counter to order from. The menu is pretty basic, a number of juices with a few salads and some raw chocolate. I tried the After Glow juice, which I loved. Honestly I’m a huge fan of green juice and I have juiced frequently at home, so I really like the taste although I can see it might not be for everyone. A little pricey at $ 8 a bottle, it won’t be an everyday thing but I will definitely return to try the other options.

I did a seven day juice cleanse from Glow a few months ago, and it wasn’t really what I had thought it would be. I definitely got the results that I was looking for, but having done juice cleanses before, I found their juice to not taste GREAT. There were three that I really enjoyed, but the other 5 juices I almost had to chug to avoid gagging. I love the concept, and I am happy that something like this has come to Edmonton, but when the only thing you can consume other than lemon water for seven days doesn’t taste great, it was a less than enjoyable experience for almost $ 500(for each my boyfriend and myself)
