Booster Juice is a great smoothie shop. And I’ve enjoyed my mainstay of Raspberrry Rapture for so many years now… it’s always my Booster Juice go-to. This location is a nice one: the washroom is clean even though the door is a bit stiff(which happens when buildings settle, I guess). The staff were very efficient and polite when I purchased my snack sized drink(I’ve learned that I VERYRARELY need a regular sized booster juice drink: a snack size suits me perfectly well).

For a Booster Juice it’s pretty consistent — drinks taste like they’re supposed to(I’ve had some pretty bad Booster Juice experiences in Mill Woods so it’s noteworthy). The establishment is clean and the staff are friendly enough. I still can’t get on board with paying $ 4 to $ 6 for essentially juice and ice cream though. My snack size juice contained approximately 6 raspberries as the«fruit» portion — don’t get me wrong, it tasted good, I just don’t think it’s worth the money. I go here very rarely … basically, if I’m desperate to obtain food immediately and am in close proximity.

Over the winter I forgot how much I LOVE Booster Juice. I’m one of those people who can’t handle having cold drinks when it’s chilly out. I’ve just started venturing out of my hibernation to in anticipation of Spring and had my first few smoothies of the season. In general I like this location. The staff are nice and the smoothies are always… smooth? No seriously! Have you ever had a smoothie that isn’t blended well enough? Yuck! Luckily there’s none of that here. The sandwiches/wraps are good too. The lettuce is nice and crisp which is basically my biggest pet peeve when it comes to fast food sandwiches. Overall this Booster Juice is a good option for fast food compared to lots of the other choices in the Garneau area.

Good juice, better grass. I love wheatgrass. It’s nostalgic for me as I ate grass in my lawn as a young lad. Now one learns it’s good for you! All juices are good, just follow my rule. Never have a juice with more than two types of berries.

There is probably something G20 protest worthy about spending $ 6.00 for a fruit smoothie. I mean the vast majority of fruit is picked by undocumented migrant workers from some developing country fleeing the lack of economic opportunities at home caused by restrictive IMF rules on their debt making it impossible to compete with Eurozone or North American agricultural subsidies. It’s just like Juan Valdez and the coffee pickers of the world, but we’ll spend about the same amount of money, a month’s wages in some countries, on a Vente, half caffe, skinny, extra hot mochachino with whip. Amazing how those Black Block guys will bust up a Starbucks though and leave the«granola» Booster Juice alone. So, while I work out the geo-political morality of it all, I’m pretty much a fan of Booster Juice when it comes to the high-end fruit drink market. This location is in my neighbourhood and I find it quick efficient and friendly. The other thing I like about Booster Juice is that their«base» drinks seem to make more sense to me both in terms of flavour and nutrition. I also like that I can tailor the boosts to my liking and their boost choices make sense too(though I pay for that privilege). It’s not all just fad nutriceuticals, taken with a grain of salt as fad nutriceuticals is what this business is based on. In the end, it’s better for me than spending the same amount of money on a blown-out coffee or even a micro-brew, even if the only reason I can buy them is that our per capita GDP is obscenely high.
