My sister and our spouses were looking to try something new and I had heard good things about Hart so we decided to give it a try. We had no reservations and the restaurant was fairly busy but the hostess was friendly, told us it would take a couple minutes to set a table up, and then sat us those couple of minutes later. That was definitely the highlight of this experience. We were pretty excited about the menu, lots of dishes sounded amazing. Unfortunately we never got to find out about any dishes. We sat for over 20 minutes without a server speaking to us. 2 different servers visited our neighbouring tables but neither looked our way. In watching other tables it would appear many were in a similar situation. I saw one customer make eye contact with a server, raise his hand to signal he needed something and the server turned away. We walked out and spent our $ 200 down the road. And will not return.

The food that wasn’t so good was the Calamari and the ‘potato chip’ nachos. Calamari was very tough, small pieces and not much for flavour. The nachos get all soggy as they are potato chips with lots of melted cheeses of course and they are too flimsy for this kind of snack. Get back to using regular nachos. Service is great.

Like the atmosphere. Service is usually pretty slow, but they have the best soup in town, so that makes up for it. We always have the soup of the day with our meal and they’ve always delivered an exceptionally delicious bowl.

I have been here 3 times and I love the atmosphere! I have had good service and the management is good. Each time I’ve gone I’ve had management come to my table to make sure that we are enjoying our time. I had the chicken and waffles which was good and their nachos were very different but enjoyable. I would give them 3.5 stars if I could. What I don’t like so much is that I find it pricey for the drinks. However they have great drink specials on certain days. Also, I believe they could season their meat a little more and have larger portions. I will always ding my reviews if I don’t like their portions in comparison to price. Great place for a nice lounge and I love the late night atmosphere.

Went here on half price wine night on Wednesday. The atmosphere is really nice. Can be dark though. Met up with a bunch of friends to just sick and have appetizers. The servers are very friendly and the food was good. It was s little pricey. The all day breakfast was delicious! I would recommend it.

On the plus side it has an upscale feel with a lounge mixed in with the restaurant. A couple TV screens. The brunch was tasty and good value. Staff were attentive and polite. On the negative side I don’t like their soups and definitely not worth the price and they don’t come with a bun. A pint of beer cost me $ 9.50 which gave me a little sticker shock. But it’s in the well to do neighborhood so what can you say. I didn’t care for the deep fried chicken wings because they tasted more like pork ribs than wings. Entrees are good and nice atmosphere makes for 4 stars.

Had brunch here. Was solidly sold by the suggestions and excellent customer service. Ordered the Corned Beef Hash made Poutine Style. Great recommendation by the server. Also had a split order of the Carrot Cake pancakes which were subtle in the flavour and not overpowering. Had the Apple Pie for dessert, super flaky crust but the filling was passable. Customer service was really on point though especially when the manager came in and checked in on us. And even told us the story about Hartley the family dog.

I have been to this location on two separate occasions and both were very different. Both times the food was excellent however, the only difference was the service. The first time I went our waitress was very spacey and forgetful, and on many occasions when we needed her she was with other servers chatting at the bar or at the computer posi. The second time however, our waitress was so extremely friendly and accommodating, and was always attentive and efficient. The appetizers are the BEST thing on the menu in my opinion. Specifically: The hot brussel sprouts, perogies, and brie cheese appetizers. I ordered the extra large grilled cheese as my main which absolutely does not disappoint! Every thursday they have a taco special — which changes every week! One week the feature tacos may be pulled pork, salmon, and beef and the next week it may be completely different kinds of tacos, which I think is very cool. Overall the experience each time was good, the atmosphere and décor is great. It has a very cool and fun vibe and is perfect for dates, outings with friends or meetings with co-workers(so essentially everything). The food is always top notch which is what really matters.

Food was great. Nice selection of choices. Service was intermittently lousy, but the manager apologized and made up for it.

What a waste of our family’s time and money. Brought in a table of eight, and waited for ten minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant. Our server was ‘Ricki’ and she was utterly USELESS(shouts!) because she clearly has no idea what she is doing. It took her half an hour to get eight beverages to our table, and another twenty minutes to take our order, which she did not get right at all. Ricki chatted for ten minutes to other customers before even submitting our order. We ordered eight meals and when the food came up, only six dishes were cooked and three of the six were not at all what we ordered. Ricki had an excuse for everything, the kitchen was busy, there were new people on staff, blaming everyone but herself, even going so far as to suggest that we hadn’t correctly ordered our meals! This server is a disgrace and if we were shareholders, we would have fired her on the spot for being completely unprofessional. She was the one who made all the mistakes and would not even acknowledge or provide any accountability for her very poor service. When we asked to speak to the manager, Ricki said he was gone for the day. Ricki looked us in the eye and lied. The manager was on the premises. He was in the office. From the time we got there and received any food it was over an hour and a half. This is utterly and completely acceptable. Zero Stars is actually our review for this place. Don’t go there, poorest service ever!!!

Hart’s Table & Bar falls under Century Hospitality Group’s umbrella but doesn’t wreak of hipster pretention like some of their other establishments such as Delux Burger Bar or Hundred Bar Kitchen. The waitresses don’t dress like contestants on The Bachelor like at the latter establishment – but don’t worry – they still dress to impress. Their tight skirts with button down shirts tied appropriately at the waistband(to give a better view of the assets down below) probably ensure they’ll get more than the usual 15% — 20% from the guys… and some of the girls. Oh yeah, they serve food too. Their menu consists of normal pub fare – burgers, ribs, meatloaf as well as the obligatory rabbit food selections such as beet salad and BLT kale salad. They even serve a dish called«My Wife’s Favourite Salad.» Seriously. There are several gluten-free items on the menu too such as the Big Ass Grill Cheese(that’s really what it’s called), Duck Poutine, and the Jalapeño Havarti Mac & Cheese. I got the Hart’s Burger Stack which is a 10oz beef patty topped with onion rings, pork belly, tomatoes, and bacon jam(whatever the hell that is). There’s also a «secret sauce» that they spread on the burger but I find that the less questions asked about«secret sauces” – the better. Normally it comes with lettuce and pickles too but I asked them to leave those off. I always feel the need to donate some of my veggies to any vegans in the restaurant. And if there aren’t any vegans then somebody could at least take my refused veggies home to feed their pet chevrotain(also known as the mouse-deer – apparently they’re herbivores). #gooddeeds All burgers/sandwiches come with a choice of soup, salad, or fries on the side. I got fries. The burger tasted great and was made to my specifications which is a feat not accomplished at every restaurant these days(Soda Jerks on Winterburn). The tight-skirted waitress we had was friendly, efficient, and attentive to detail, and fast(service-wise). There’s a long bar in the restaurant too with a decent selection of beer and wine with a mixologist standing by.(When did it become uncool to use the word ‘Bartender’? Everyone is a mixologist now. I’m going to stop referring to myself as a customer or a diner. From now on I’m an eat-ologist.) Hart’s Table & Bar is a laid-back amiable atmosphere all around. The friendly manager even visited our table to ask if everything was to our satisfaction and how everything was tasting which I thought was a nice touch. I assume it was the manager anyway. He didn’t actually introduce himself as such. Maybe he was just another customer who’s really outgoing and looking to connect with other eat-ologists.

We tried to make a reservation on a Saturday at 7PM but we were told they weren’t able to take anymore reservations but we would be first on the wait list for a table. My friend arrived at 7 and was seated right away and there were tables available so not sure why they wouldn’t take a reservation. But glad we didn’t have to wait. The atmosphere is great with booths, tables, and tables and bar stools and we saw families, friends, and couples enjoying the food and drink. I liked the variety of the menu to include salads, sandwiches, and entrees. I ordered the turkey burger with a Caesar salad and dressing on the side($ 15.50). I liked how they included a few bread crisps instead of croutons and they gave me the perfect amount of dressing so none was wasted. The turkey burger came with avocado which was a great accompaniment. The turkey patty wasn’t dry and had the right texture. It was satisfying and delicious. The servers were dressed similar and professionally, and ensured our drinks were topped up. They were friendly and the manager came to check on us during our meal which was nice. It’s also nice they didn’t rush us after dinner to enjoy conversation. This is a great restaurant and would definitely come back!

What could be better than it being Noon on a lovely Canada Day afternoon and your husband saying«Let’s go find some Eggs Benny on a Patio»? Perfect I thought! And while we hummed and hawed for a few minutes about trying a new spot, Philly said«Why don’t we go for Lobster Eggs Benny at Hart’s». When he added«Then you can have those Creamsicle Mojito’s that you love so much» he had me sold! So off we went in search of a patio. It wasn’t a super great day but it was warm and there was a little bit of sun out so we found a spot to enjoy. And then I ordered the coveted Creamsicle Beer Mojito! And then this absolutely divine looking dish walked by us that I had never seen before. I asked our waitress what it was and she said that it was a new and very popular dish called«Drunken Bread». I was in! So we ordered one. This is absolutely delicious! It is bread soaked in white wine covered in a great medley of seasonings and topped with provolone and asiago cheese. It was a dream! I loved it! But I left some to take home for a snack later as we did come for the Lobster Benny after all. I will return again and again for this bread though. And then my Creamsicle Beer Mojito was done. .. so I ordered another one! It was a perfect afternoon. The drinks were great and the food was amazing. The Eggs Benedict were perfect and they have made some nice changes. They are now served on a wooden board which really works. They have added onions and peppers to the side potatoes which is great. They serve beautiful fresh fruit in a glass jar on the plate. And that hollandaise is soooo good. I don’t remember it being that good but it is pretty much a perfect hollandaise. It was really delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the arugula that I previously found to be too overpowering was just right. It was delicious. And the service was very good too. The manager is very attentive and is clearly trying to improve this part of the business and it really shows.

I’ve been to Hart’s several times for dinner, and it truly never disappoints. If you want some serious comfort food, come here. Big Ass Grilled Cheese Sandwich, that you can add short rib too, delicious french dip, excellent turkey burger, and pretty good fish and chips. That’s just to name a few things. I will say, there are some things I’ve ordered that I didn’t much care for. The short rib meal was nothing special, and quite overpriced. Truthfully, everything is a bit pricey here but I suppose it’s because of the neighbourhood. But if I think of going somewhere else that might cost me $ 12 – 15 for my sandwich instead of $ 16-$ 18… to me it’s worth the extra few bucks to come here. The menu has some unique options. Everything is always fresh, and prepared well. The service is actually quite good, and I love the décor. In the summertime, the patio is perfect and has comfortable seating. Inside, there’s a really cool lounge area with couches that would be neat for a small party. This is definitely one of my fave places to eat in South Edmonton. And I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the higher prices.

Ate here for lunch, was suitably impressed by the Clubhouse and Caesar Salad. Of the Century chain restaurants I’ve been to, this one was one of the better ones. Arrived just after noon on a Thursday, and we were the only ones in the restaurant for at least half an hour when it started to fill up.

Lunch was delicious and the patio looked super sunlit and elegant plastic chairs shaped in old world full chair style… With so many interesting couches, lighting, wall tiles and patterns. Lemony lemony snicket on my Kale Salad … Gave them to my lunch partner to eat roasted lemons softer note then a pucker face!

I have eaten a lot of ribs in my life, but few were as good as the ribs I had the other day from Harts Table and Bar. My wife went for brunch at Hart’s a few weeks ago and had an amazing experience, so we decided to head out there for a date night this weekend. It’s a bit of a hike from where we live in Sherwood Park, but it was totally worth the drive. I ordered a half rack of pork ribs. They source their pork from Wild Game Consultants and they are cooked for 36 hours… Talk about flavourful! I honestly don’t know if it was the cooking process or the meat or a combination of both, but these ribs reminded me of hawaiian luau pork, and any food that bring up memories of the best pork I’ve ever had is a good thing. The pork came with cream corn which was quite tasty and kale slaw. I found the kale slaw to be quite acidic and not very good… I got over it really quickly though since the pork was so good. My wife got the giant grilled cheese sandwich with duck fries. She should have gotten a half order though because the regular order is actually 2 sandwiches and was way more food than she needed. She added the short ribs to the sandwich, and it was amazing. For desert we shared the apple pie. It was served in a tiny cast iron skillet and obviously made fresh to order. Overall this was an amazing experience, and I wish they had a location closer to home. I will definitely make another trip out there though and think you should too.

I came here for my sweethearts Christmas Party and was completely blown away! The chef here is absolutely amazing and maybe it’s just that our taste in food totally jives, but I was in total foodgasm the entire night. Being here for a dinner party/Christmas event the chef prepared for us a 5 course wine paring dinner. Every course was perfectly paired with a great wine. I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting such high quality wines. Being a food/wine snob I was expecting your average run of the mill restaurant staples. But boy was I wrong! I really wish I had taken down which wines were served, but I was too busy drinking them! A perfectly executed evening! Our server Brian was en pointe the entire night! Knowledgeable and friendly but not overbearing. My favourite part… The house made sour dough bread with PRIMERIBDRIPPINGS!!! Move over butter, there’s a new guy in town!

Hubby and I decided to have brunch here instead of going downtown to our usual place. There was no hostess when we arrived, but one of the chefs noticed us and seated us. I ordered the corned beef hash and hubby had the traditional eggs Benny. We both ordered our eggs medium, but mine arrived way undercooked and hubby’s arrived way overcooked. Overall, the taste of our dishes were decent. A little pricey given the portion size though. Service here is a little lacking. The servers seemed confused at times ie. Which table is which, but they eventually started helping each other out and service towards the end of our brunch improved. We may or may not come here again — I rather liked the décor and overall feel of the restaurant. If we do, it will likely be for lunch or dinner instead.

Hart’s Table & Bar is a great space to take your mom for Brunch on the southside. Not too loud, and more upscale than MKT or Delux Burger Bar. Great service,(as expected from the Century hospitality group) and well presented food. As a huge fan of MKT, I was excited to try this new southside restaurant out. And to be fair, I went in with some very high expectations. Here’s what I discovered. The food was beautiful to look at, but the meals themselves were only so so. We started our Sunday brunch with the Duck Fat Poutine. And it was great.(No surprises here, it’s the same one on the MKT menu.) My aunt ordered the soup of the day, and it came with what looked like a crusty french cheese bread. It looked great, but the bread itself was a bit too hard and not soft enough to eat, except by picking out the middle parts . My mom got the Clubhouse with Caesar salad. It was good she said, but not exceptional. My other aunt go the corned beef dish, and while she appreciated the home made corned beef, she thought it was too much like bacon and not quite corned beefy enough. I tried a piece and liked it myself I got the West coast Bennie. It’s egg Benedict with lobster. Tasty but at $ 18 it wasn’t a great value. Speaking of value, the Caesars were on special and if we were drinking we might have gotten them. As it was we had a few teas, and our total bill for four people with tip/tax was $ 100. An ok value, ok food, but great service. The great service and management of every Century Hospitality restaurant group I’ve been to is always to be complemented. As we left my mom left her jacket at the restaurant and when we went back they had it right at the front desk ready to go. Final comments? Pros: 1. Great service 2. Good Drink specials Sunday-Thursdays 3. You can bring your mom here, it’s classy like that Cons 1. So So food taste 2. Average value
