Heppy’s Pie Lady

The mini chicken pot pies are hands down the best lunch on cold winter days that you will ever find, period — they are delicious, and as a bonus my house always smells amazing during and after cooking :) the prices are reasonable and the pies are addictive.

Let’s clarify something first. We’re not talking about Lemon or Pumpkin pie here. We’re talking about delicious, filling, meat pies-​as-​a-​meal… like my favorite, the free range chicken pie. The back-​story here is that Corrinne (the pie lady) is of Acadian descent, and these are traditional recipes with a French heritage. If that already sounds tasty — you’re right it is. Can’t go wrong. Shove a couple in your freezer for an easy and delicious, ready meal.

I would never of known about Heppy’s until my work ordered a variety of her pies last year for a Christmas lunch.
Her pot pies are probably the best ones I have ever had, and her Tourtieres are probably the best, well, second best thing I have ever put in my mouth :)
I’ll probably become a regular. If you are looking for something different a delicious to eat, you should definitely try one her pies. Doesn’t matter which one, pick one and you’ll probably love it!

We received a package of Free Range Turkey Pot Pies as a gift. They baked quickly in the oven. Both the pie and filling were superior to any homemade pies I have personally had. We will be visiting the shop as soon as possible to try more!

Personally I know Corrine and remember when she first started making pies at her house. With business growing and becoming to big for her to be able to continue at her house she decided to go bigger. Located on Herring Cove road she has a little gold mind.
Free samples at her front counter are always a pleasure to try. Eventhing is delicious and my favorite it the chicken pot pie. These are great to go pick up and place in your freezer for a good home cooked meal for $ 10 bucks. I think there are about 8 or 9 different styles of pies to chose from but lie me I find something yummy and it is hard to stray from that. I did actually try her homemade beans that last time I was out there and they were good too.
One thing that I remember about Corrine was her infectious laugh and great personality. As well I am not sure who knows this but she can sure belt out some good tunes.
