This is a condo resort with units rented by individual owners. The suite was in need of furniture replacement and repairs like new light bulbs, the bathroom fan did not work. You cannot regulate the air conditioning in your suite, it has a master thermostat for the building that has a lock on it. It is either on or off. The BBQ was falling apart and is extremely hot. We had two vehicles, so one had a registered parking stall, the other had to be parked in visitor parking. The owner we rented from(Slade Desrochers) informed us that we only needed to move the vehicle once every 24 hours, even though signage stated if you did not have a visitors parking pass displayed after 2 a.m. Your vehicle would be towed. And it was because the owner would not supply a parking pass as it was not necessary in his opinion. He did however provide one after the vehicle was towed(and damaged by Mario’s towing), and he also was kind enough to cover the towing fee when confronted. It is also stated in his laminated«welcome» to his suite brochure, that if you have any concerns to contact the maid service. When the maid service was contacted, the response every time was«we are just the maid, you will have to contact the owner directly». The owner of the suite also arranged for a showing of the suite without contacting us prior, so at 10:30 in the morning the maid shows up to show the suite. Asking«did’t the owner email you?». The answer was no, but come in and have a look. This suite was rented by my parents for two weeks, and in my opinion the price paid was not worth it. Beware of renting on with this particular owner, he resorts to obscenities and name calling when questioned. The best part is he is a real estate agent in Saskatoon, however, is not in touch with his condo building rules and regulations. There are many units for rent with other owners, and we met one in the hall who owns several units as well as lives in the building. Ask questions before you rent and get your owners name, stay away from this one.

This is not a hotel. Each suite is owned by a different individual and they have the option to rent it out through West Canadian Reservations when they are not using it. This means that there is no front desk, just an office where you conduct your business transactions. My family stayed here on a trip to Kelowna. On the day our flight arrived, we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon in Vernon, BC and didn’t get to check in until 11 p.m. The lady in the office waited for us, even though the office is usually closed by that time. She gave us a quick tour and then proceeded to give us our keys. Our suite was beautiful! We got a two bedroom suite, with two bathrooms. It also had a full kitchen, a dining counter and a living area. Our deck had a table, chairs and a grill. Even though it wasn’t a hotel, they still provided us with towels and toiletries! Also, we had free WiFi. The pool, hot tub and gym are open until 10 pm, after which, guests will be told by the night guard to call it a night. So we had no obnoxious neighbors disturbing our R&R. It’s 10 minutes away from downtown and 5 minutes away from the pharmacy, grocery store, restaurants and some shops. There is a restaurant downstairs called the Cabana Grill, a coffee shop and a spa. If ever I do venture out to Kelowna again, I will be staying at the Playa del Sol again. In fact, I recommended this place to a coworker who is doing the Iron Man triathlon this coming summer. Love it!!!
