The washroom was cramped. You have one sink K, one stall, and one urinal. The sink was pretty clean and they had everything filled up like it should be. The tiling was old but it seemed to be taken care of. A big mirror is adorned by the sink. They kept it clean as far as I could tell but I forgot to check the stall. Nice place. Very passable. General comment: The food was nice, we just had normal potato skins while watching the game and it hit the spot. The beer selection was lacklustre. The best they had was Guinness and Stella. Worth going if you’re in the mood for a quick drink in area plus they have decent food. Also if you like sports I guess you can be among your people there.

The food is awesome and service was great. I guess 5stars goes for the service. Place is kinda noisy but doesn’t bother me. Well it was open till really late and that’s how we went there. This city will never let u sleep hungry. Went there on the last day in Ottawa and it was perfect to remember.

I hadn’t been to this location in years, so when Noah K suggested it to watch UFC on Saturday night, I said, hey, why not? I went in with low expectations. Local Heroes used to be huge in Ottawa, but it closed several of their locations in recent years, so I figured it would be subpar. I was pleasantly surprised! We were greeted by a super-friendly hostess about an hour before the fight started, and while it was busy, it wasn’t insane like James Street Pub gets before a fight. We were seated in the left section of the bar which houses a pool table and several big screens along with a bunch of smaller tvs. Our server was awesome. Initially there was only five of us, and she was awesome with suggestions, and knew her stuff regarding beer and food. It was impressive! We mentioned to her that some other friends might join us, and she promptly pulled another table over so that the hostess didn’t seat anyone else there. We had about six more people show up, and she never got rattled, or messed up an order. The menu is MASSIVE here, and it takes some time to go through. It seems like the wings, ribs, pizza and burger are the highlights here, but there’s a million options, so there’s something for everyone(note: this is KILLER when you’re starving. I had to make a quick decision). I went with the buffalo chicken nachos which were nachos with breaded chicken drizzled with a creamy buffalo sauce. It was delicious, but I’d opt out of the sauce next time — too spicy for my sensitive stomach. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals(there was a 35% off wings and ribs deal that night so lots of people jumped on that train). I would absolutely recommend this as a place to hang out and watch the game/fight with friends. It’s got plenty of room, great staff, and a ton of tvs. The vibe here is super casual and fun.

My go to place for Sens’ games. Food is pretty good and there’s always great deals on alcohol during different nights and games. They offer a puck with a players number on it and if that player scores you get 15% off your bill, a fun way to get people even more into the game. Waitresses all know me and my group of friends by this point so we always get great service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood that wants a solid meal and cheap drinks with lots of sports and atmosphere.

Not a gourmet restaurant, but if you are looking for good pub fare this is the place. Well made thick and thin crust pizza. Thick juicy burgers. Will always satify a big appetite. Daily specials. Nice wait staff. Great price range.

Came in tonight with my husband and our friend. We were seated quickly, but that’s where the service ended. We waited over 10 minutes and no one came back to take our orders. Multiple servers were sitting and chatting with patrons. Perhaps they were on a break, but it was really bad optics. We just got up and left, no one asked why we were leaving. The only reason I’m giving it a 2 is because our friend wrote to the«contact us» e-mail on their website to let them know what had happened and there was a good response from what I will assume is management. They wanted to know a lot of details and said they’ll get back to us. I think we’ll stick with the Robertson Rd. location.

This is the type of Sports bar that US franchises try to imitate. The difference here is, it’s authentic and genuine. Open since 1991, this location on Clyde is the flagship restaurant for this chain with 5 locations, owned by CFL great and Ottawa Rough Riders alum Mark Kosmos. The pics and memorabilia on the walls are the real deal, not from some catalogue. I used to come here during my University days for the cheap beer and huuge wings. Seriously, these wings could have been from Pterodactyls, they were massive. And delicious. This is still a great place for a game of pool, or watching a game. It can get loud on game nights. For me, it’s a top pick for breakfasts: huge helpings, fast and friendly service, and piping hot potatoes. In my books, a good breakfast joint is fast, affordable, and delicious, and your coffee cup is never empty. By those standards, Local Heroes delivers. It can get busy during breakfast hours on the weekends, true, but they usually have their game together.

The experience as a whole was great. Tons of TVs, tables and separate rooms. Service was excellent. This location has a pool table($ 1.50). Friday night drink specials were plentiful. They also have cheap lunch specials that run til like 9pm which is awesome. The fish and chips were huge and tasty(says my buddies) I one the other hand had the buffalo wrap, ad it sucked. Besides the shatty wrap I had a great time and would defiantly visit again.

I can’t think of many better places in Ottawa to watch a big game at than at this bar. When I was a west end Ottawan this was a favourite place of mine, especially when the Sens were playing the Leafs because the bar often had a lot of Algonquin students who seemed to cheer for the Leafs and the older locals were the Sens fans. It was always a blast. The projection screen on the right of the restaurant when you first walk in allowed for optimal viewing of the game. For real sports enthusiasts you could spend a lot of time just walking around and checking out the jerseys, posters, candid photos and other items donated or signed by local athletes. The atmosphere is great but the service and food are equally as solid. They have pool tables and a few arcades and you’ll often find decent specials at this location. I’m not a huge wing fan but I did really enjoy their baskets of wings.
