The good… nice, clean, simple menu. The bad… expensive, average taste, and extremely noisy. Even with only a few people, your senses are assaulted by the noise of exhaust fans. It will drive you insane. Add a few screaming kids, and you’ll be running for the exits. The food won’t kill you, but I can get better out of a can. Basically mall food at inflated prices. Lunch for two was $ 32. Way too much for some noodles and a couple of strips of beef.

Food is good, but… Been here several times and service is consistently slow — it should not take 30 mins for some stir fry.

Ok not gonna lie… I ordered the pad thai and I didn’t like it. It could be that I don’t like it with the tamarind?* sauce. I ate the shrimp then I chucked it. I DID like the veggie spring rolls. They were so good! I wish I had ordered more. Think so far it’s the only thing I’d go back for. Customer service was great… so these guys squeezed out 2.5 stars from me. I would never get indian food(butter chicken) from here.

I tried«Dan Dan» and«Butter Chicken». Butter chicken was better. Dan Dan was spicy but that was it. They should change pictures on the menu. They didn’t look yummy at all, which made me think I am paying too much. And the taste was what I expected… Not impressive at all. People were nice and restaurant was clean.

This place seems to be for people who have never had real Asian food in their lives nor plan too. The food is very bland and does not taste like what it is claiming to be. Also, it is expensive and not even as good as mall food. The entire selling point of the restaurant seems to be that the food comes in those Chinese food boxes you see in movies.

Of all the fast food joints here @ Queensborough Landing: taco del mar, A&W, Quiznos, WB is the nicest one in terms of a sit-down restaurant. In fact, even a bit intimate b/c of its dimmed lighting lol. Even booth seating! so a good place with a bunch of friends, if you don’t want to go Boston Pizza across the other side. they even serve iced vietnamese coffee, would’ve inquired but a few ppl ahead of me.

After expressing that my father had food allergies and specifying«no noodles, only rice. It has to be gluten free» which is something they advertise as being available on their to go containers the woman here served my father noodles. He has severe celiac and will now be incapacitated for a minimum of 72 hours unable to absorb any nutrients and has a very real danger if starving to death. I called them to complain and was yelled at and told«he ordered noodles», effectively calling me and my father a liar. Absolutely disgusted and enraged at their blatant disregard to provide the safe environment they claim to offer and even more enraged by their response. Absolutely do not go here if you have sensitivities or allergies, they clearly do not care enough to keep their clientele alive.

Contrary to the reviews I was really pleased with Wok Box. There aren’t a lot of places where I can eat that is easy on the calories and is weight watchers compliant as long as you put the sauce on the side. My order was done in 4 minutes, service was friendly and for $ 10 I felt reasonably full for lunch.

About 5 years ago I ate at a Wok Box in the Calgary airport(or was it Edmonton? I forget), but it was very tasty food for an airport terminal takeout chinese food place. At any rate, I encountered another Wok Box in Surrey and had lunch there a few times a couple years after that, it was still pretty good food. About a month ago I encountered this Wok Box in Queensborough. The guy at the counter sold me on a gift certificate($ 25 and you get a free bonus meal) so I took the bonus meal. I wasn’t very impressed with the food this time around(chicken in peanut sauce), but figured I ordered a dud so I’d spend my gift certificate on something else next time. Second visit I ordered the butter chicken wrap. Meh. On my final visit I ordered the korean beef bowl(advertised with a cautionary hot chili pepper) It came, and boy was it hot. Not much beef or other flavours in it though. The place is kept fairly clean thanks to the efforts of the super-nice buslady. The staff is pretty friendly, but the food sucks. Too bad. Won’t be back.

Well I must have come on a good day, after reading the other reviews I must be blessed. Our server was really nice and helpful and I received no raw food, and the salt content was very low. This place unfortunately is in the twilight zone as Sarah said, frankly I don’t know how ninety percent of the places here stay open. Filling this place for dinner would be like Cris Angel doing real magic, it just will never happen. Service was super fast(mostly because we were the only people there). As I sit here and chomp down the last few bites of my Kung Pow Chicken I am happy with the three stars I gave them. Yes I know I gave them four but the fourth star has nothing to do with their food. It has everything to do with the little Chinese take out boxes they gave us for free when we expressed our inability to find them anywhere. BOOYA I know your jealous that I have little take out boxes and you don’t tee hee. One thing though my fortune cookie didn’t have a fortune … is my cookie trying to tell me something?

Portions are very small. The NAAN-WICH was not well balanced. The butter chicken portion was small and the rice portion was way over board. All-in-all not satisfied.

Underwhelmed… bleh. Husband was still so hungry after eating a «meal» here that we walked over to Boston Pizza for some wings to fill him up.

I tried Wok Box in Port Moody years ago and was never a fan, but for some reason I thought I would give the Queensborough location a shot. I was only reminded of how terrible and overpriced it was. I had the Sweet Mongolian. Not enough meat, the selection of vegetables in my bowl was onions, onions and more onions. I remember this being a problem at the Port Moody location as well(which has since closed down). Basically it tasted like garbage. Stir fry’s are the easiest meals to put together yet Wok Box finds a way to screw it up. DON’T WASTEYOURTIME!

I saw this place many times and meant to try but didn’t for a long time. I got Groupon and tried their Singapore cashew noodle which was very good and Dandan wasn’t. This place is clean and quick!- probably as fast as fast food chain only healthier. I was hungry at that time, so I was happy. They gave away fortune cookie and inside, there was a prize. I won one Free noodle box, so I went again. Both times, service was very good and food was good. Good healthy fast food. I noticed lunch is cheaper at $ 6.79 until 4pm. I like this place.

i was going to write a review but pretty much everyone else has had the same experience and I wont bother you with the monotony of the food or their ridiculous portions_my friend was laughing when we opened our takeout. Here’s my first 1 star review-congrats Wok Box. Bet Nando’s next door loves you

Wtf was I thinking? We recently moved our office near Queensborough, so options are limited to this mall. I had overdosed on meat the night before so was looking for something healthy(er). So I went with veggie noodle bowl with ribbon noodles and dan dan sauce(spicy). What landed on my table was a mess. Sure I guess the sauce was indeed ‘spicy’, but severely lacked in any spice flavour. I was starving so I ate it and was in a rush, but definitely not recommended. I think I saw the word ‘fusion’ in their signage. Fusion rarely works, at least in my experience. This is a perfect example. The one star is for the staff. They were friendly and cool. On the positive, it encourages me to bring my own lunch.

Awww, poor little Wok Box. Sitting on the edge of an outlet mall in Queensbourough, it’s never going to get the walk-by traffic to fill the place. But speaking of traffic, I’ve found it as good a place as any to get out of a miles-long traffic jam for the Queensborough Bridge and grab a dish of noodles for dinner on my way home. Staring at the ass-end of an SUV for half an hour does make a girl grumpy and hungry. I love noodles, too — some say a little too much. My favourite thing at Wok Box is the Singapore Cashew with chicken, which comes with all kinds of veggies and is especially nice with squeezes of fresh lime. The menu is pan-Asian, serving everything from gyozas to butter chicken, so I don’t think we can really pretend that everything is fresh and authentic and homemade and all that jazz. It is a franchise, after all. Sure, it looks more like a White Spot than a typical noodle bar, and I’m pretty much the only person there, but the staff are super-smiley and happy to have me. Portions are pretty big, even with my appetite, and I love the Chinese takeout to-go boxes they put my leftovers in. Solid.

We didn’t get raw, although I have to agree that the staff are really great. I was excited. The place looks modern and inviting. The food, however, will keep me going elsewhere for dinner as I’ll not eat here again. Salt is the key. If you put enough in, then you won’t notice the store bought sauces and the overcooked rice. Thank goodness for the bottomless fountain pop, as I’m only alive because it cut the salt ratio down to almost edible. Take my advice, and run away screaming before you pay the high prices for nothing but salt. This place is great for those of us on diets! You can order anything in the quantities you like, and only eat 5 ounces of it! Save yourselves! It is too late for me, I’m already drying up and blowing away in the wind…
