Great food, definitely one of my favorites in Ontario. Reasonable prices, portions and the food is incredible. The resto is located inside the hotel and is pretty nice and romantic. Call the hotel as they often have package deals for a stay and dinner.

Beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service. It couldn’t have been better. We were seated in a romantic and secluded booth — it was beautiful! I was a little disappointed that we were not able to try the Field to Fork Menu due to the tight schedule we had. Instead, we ordered the Pan Seared Scallops for the appetizer — WOW. So tasty! So fresh! The entrée was surprisingly huge. We both decided to go with the Sterling Silver Tenderloin of Beef. To be honest, it was all really good but there was something about the almond brie crust that I didn’t like. Perhaps I should have ordered the Cornish Hen instead, I think I might have enjoyed that more. Overall, this has got to be one of the best restaurants in the Niagara area. Prices are reasonable for an upscale restaurant and the service was just fantastic. It was a perfect date night. Definitely eat here when you go to Niagara Falls!

Pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and portions of entrees for a fine dining place. Main server did not make much eye contact and was bit odd. But overall, romantic and elegant place.

There may be a better restaurant in Niagara Falls but we didn’t find it. Our meal was excellent, the service was first rate and the food was fantastic. AG is quiet, well decorated but not stuffy. The farm to table philosophy of the restaurant serves it well and the chef has a great imagination. My wife’s beef tenderloin was the best she’s had in a long long time and my braised rabbit was spectacular. Local wineries are showcased and a special menus paired with appropriate wines were also offered. We highly recommend AG and you should definitely make it part of your visit to the Falls

Pleasantly blown away by the food. I was in Niagara Falls for a work conference and ate dinner the night before at AG. The AG pays special attention to local food which makes it stand apart from most restaurants in general, but turns it into a true gem in the heart of cheesy-themed restaurants. Prices were very reasonable compared to Toronto prices of same calibre– my meal cost for appetiser, entrée and dessert(no drink) ~$ 50. Highly recommended for food lovers.

My favorite part of the meal was the amuse bouche of scallops. I was thinking about ordering scallops but decided not to and kind of regretted it — how did you know? It was delicious, and a lovely gift to start off the meal. The chef was accommodating about allergies — didn’t make any variations of the dishes, but kept the offending ingredients on the side, separated, which was great and very appreciated. The bone marrow was primal, devour-every-last-morsel delectable. The mains weren’t as exciting as the appetizers, but overall it was an enjoyable evening with tasty food and nice servers.

This place is tucked away under a nice hotel and what a hidden gem it is! The atmosphere is very romantic and there’s a warmth that lures you toward their menu. Half off wine bottles Wednesday’s makes for an affordable pairing. I love everything this place represents they pride themselves on using local Canadian produce honoring it by keeping the dishes clean and fresh. The chefs know their game and they are darn good at it.

Very upscale. Upscale; in atmosphere as well as price… some things I would never try of my own will, I have experienced and am proud I did so. The great chef takes his time and you will know it. Good food at a hefty charge, keep in mind all the Canadian taxes and the special Niagara Falls area tax; you will be spending 2 hours here to dine as well as any and all that is in your wallet… Chef Cory Linkson, threw in his best, and provides you with an exquisite albeit time consuming meal. This restaurant is fine dining to the«T.» Niagara unfortunately suffers from the lack of great food but AG sets a good example. Expect an amuse bouchée that will rock your world

Excellent food and well presented. Service was great and sincere. The waitress explained each dish in details and only came by as needed, leaving us to enjoy our dinner. AG is off the tourist path but well worth the find.

My husband and I went to AG on our first night in the Niagara Falls area. We were the first people to show on a Wednesday evening around 6pm and had no dinner reservation. To our delight, we were seated in an intimate space that made our night very special. The amuse-bouche was venison tartar that had depth with the mustard seed and other flavors the chef chose-very good. The carpaccio we ordered was excellent as well. I am a sucker for homemade pasta, so I ordered the beef tips with fettuccini and patty pan. My husband and I agree that the Parmesan cream sauce was great with the squash and tips alone or a little with the pesto’d fettuccini and squash. We did not like the bite as much when we combined it. He had the smoked Cornish hen with a cherry gastrique. That was the most succulent bird we had had in a very long time. The vegetables, the pastry, cream, pecans, sauce,(must I go on?) were so wonderful that my husband has ranked this plate among his top 5 meals thus far in his lifetime. We shared a chocolate crème brûlée-it was our first chocolate one, and it was extraordinary. We enjoyed a bottle of Shiraz with the entire meal and dessert, and it paired beautifully. As far as the staff is concerned, you cannot ask for better. Our server was very professional, courteous and friendly. She showed a true love for fine fresh food and people with her extensive knowledge of the menu and answers to our questions. Our experience at AG was superb. If you are looking for a romantic dinner that is not ‘touristy,’ I highly recommend you give them a try. I will definitely be back, even though we live 20 hours away.

My husband brought me here for our 7 year anniversary and it was amazing. Beautiful hotel, great service and delicious food. The shrimp appetizer was great as was my husbands Arctic char. Would def come back.

Wonderful experience. Appetizers such as raw beef, asparagus, bone mellow are all amazing. Server was incredible. I honk my lamb t-bone can be a bit more juicy and the venison can be also more juicy but other than that all good. Love the performance too. Fish was very good.

This place is tricky to find. It’s in a boutique hotel. You go inside and there’s really no markings telling you much. As you walk further in there is a set of stairs going down with a sign saying«restaurant». That’s it. The ambiance is very nice. «Romantic» comes to mind. AG specializes in using local produce. So their menu changes frequently depending on what’s available locally. They also told us that they grow a lot of their own herbs and vegetables. You can choose from a few different items on the menu, or get the chef’s menu. For the latter the chef designs three courses for a set price. They also offer wine pairings for a bit more. They have a big wine list. Very pricey. I ordered off the main menu(I wasn’t hungry enough for three courses). Two others ordered the chef’s menu(and one opted for the wine pairings). First out was a small pre-appetizer the chef did. It was maybe two bites, but very tasty(a tabouli thing… I wasn’t entirely clear on it). My dish was beef with some pesto fettuccine(they said they made the noodles in-house). It was very good. The chef’s menu included a risotto with elk shoulder, the entrée was a carved flank steak with sea scallops and pork belly with some other stuff, and dessert was a special crème brûlée. I got to sample each, and it was all really good(even the crème brûlée, and I’m not particularly a fan of that). Everything seemed very fresh and flavorful. I do wonder how sea scallops could be «local», but maybe it is?(There is a Great Lake right there… and the Great Lakes really are inland seas.) I didn’t do the wine, but I’m told the pairings were excellent. They matched well with the food. Again, very pricey. But if you want a really outstanding meal this is a great choice. The only thing I would complain is that the time lag between courses was a bit long. Just about the time you start wondering where the next course is it showed up. In my opinion you should not have to wonder where it is, so they waited too long. I don’t know if they had a full bar, or just a wine bar. The wine list was pretty extensive, and seemed to be mostly(if not entirely) local vintages.

Based on other Unilocalers, gave AG Cuisine a try. Just like the other reviews, this place did not disappoint from their quality of food to their service. Started off with some drinks, with quite the wine list. Our waitress was very helpful in recommending drinks. But we decided on an ice wine cocktail. As for food, our hearts were set on the lamb shank and their signature beef tenderloin. Their lamb was on the yummy side but I would recommend their beef tenderloin. Although their portions looked small, we were full and satisfied from their entrée. We had reserved a table just in case it was busy. But to our surprise, it was more on the empty side, probably because it was a Sunday. Fair warning, the food is more on the pricey end, but for the quality of food and atmosphere, spending a little more on a special day wouldn’t hurt. The atmosphere of the entire night was delightful. Don’t be fooled from the exterior!

Ok, one of the best restaurant in the place we ´ ve taste. But not more. That’s in a celler, too dark. Like every Time in America, service very sympathic, but not top. Too nervous, your Glass Is empty, one second after it Is full with Ice. Définitively No any Ice if the ambition Is to be gastronomic. And toooooooo long. You can try another place if you have children. Nothing Easy for them.

Found the food to be excellent here. Rich flavours and very well presented. From the outside the restaurant does not look the most appealing but once inside the whole atmosphere changes and it is very well laid out and the staff very accommodating. They explain the dishes and the flavours, it was a nice change given the quality of some of the restaurants on Clifton Hill. Would recommend it to anyone looking a ‘fancy’ meal in the Niagara region.

Unilocal saves the day again! After some really shoddy recommendations from our hotel staff, we found some WiFi and saw AG on the list of highly recommended restaurants. We then trekked out into the slushy, dark side walks of Niagara Falls to find AG. You have to look carefully for the road that intersects with Victoria, but it’s just a block off the main drag. Boy was this a great find. We got our reservation set up on Open Table and waited at the bar to enjoy a cocktail. I’ve never had a Caesar cocktail before. I’m not sure if it is the national drink of Canada, but they seem to be popular here! The best I can describe it like a Bloody Mary made with gin. The dinner selections all looked great and it was very hard to choose. I went with the bee pollen sea scallop with pork belly and my wife had the pappardelle noodles with bolognese. For appetizers we had braised elk and a phylo dough pastry with cheese and maple syrup or honey. I can’t remember but everything was delicious with beautfil presentation. Our service was super friendly and not rushed in any way. The wine menu wasn’t huge, but features several local Canadian selections. The restaurant gets their maple syrup from the nearby White Meadow Farms. They mention it on the menu and encouraged us to check it out — which we did! It was a great tour. Overall, just so nice to have that local feel. We were talking about this meal for the rest of our trip and were so thankful to find it. 5 stars! A must visit!

I was visiting Niagara Falls from Florida with my mom a while back and we like to try the best restaurants in the area when we travel places and we discovered this hidden gem. It really is a hidden gem because it is hard to find. The restaurant is actually underground in the basement of a hotel. I’m so glad we found it though because it was awesome! We browsed through the menu and saw they had Red Wine Braised Lamb Shank and my mom immediately knew what she was going to get because there are no restaurants around where we live that have lamb shank on the menu. This lamb shank was the best she ever had and the best I have ever had too. This is one of the closest restaurants that serve lamb shank that I can find that is close to Florida. It was completely fall of the bone, all you had to do is pick it up by the bone and boom all the meat is on the plate separated from the bone. I ordered the Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon which was very good also, cooked perfectly with an awesome sauce but needless to say I still stole a bunch of bites from the lamb dish. It was a little weird not having ice in any of the drinks though, since we were on the Canadian side. I have honestly been thinking about flying back up there just for the Lamb Shank.

Had the signature Tenderloin here after a long day at Niagara Falls and it was delicious! This is the main reason why I think this restaurant deserves 4 stars. Tender, juicy, flavorful. The mixture of meat, spinach, and potatoe hash mixed with their signature sauce was a deliteful combination. The wine however was a bit average. In all fairness, my palete is mainly used to Tuscan/Super Tuscan wines. I wanted a bit more body and thought it was a bit biter. Also, I wish we had a bit more bread as we were given two slices of baguettes which barely held us over until they served us.

If you have wandered along the Clifton Hill strip, it’s almost overwhelmingly tacky and touristy and geared towards kids(which is fine, I mean who doesn’t like dinosaur mini-putt once in awhile). Slightly off the strip, AG Inspired Cuisine is a surprisingly fantastic restaurant for adult dining. This restaurant is tucked away as part of the boutique hotel Stirling Inn and Spa. You can dress a bit nicer to dine here instead of looking like you stepped off the Maid of the Mist. The restaurant is located on the lower level of the inn. We were greeted with friendly smiles and our coats were taken right away. The space red walled, dim-lit, and romantic. The light fixtures were more classic than modern and this restaurant would appeal to any generation. They have live music starting at 8:00 pm, so I tried to make a reservation around 7:30pm. This place is popular so you will want to make a reservation which can be easily done through open table. For a Valentine’s Day weekend, I thought our entertainer(who weirdly looked like Drake) made poor song choices. He was talented, but the songs were sad… like someone must have recently stomped on his heart sad. Anyways, back to the food service. The servers are great here! They were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our waitress was able to answer questions about the local wineries and helped us make our selection. Also, I liked how the waitstaff knew their menu and described each item as it was served. There are lot of creative menu items using«Canadian» ingredients such as ice wine and maple. So many delicious things to choose from! For my appetizer, I couldn’t resist the sweet potato crab cakes. The presentation was colourful and playful! The crabcakes were tasty and balanced. and still tasted like crab meat. They were perfectly crispy and moist. The sweetness of the sweet potato was complemented by spicy tomato jam and a chilli yogurt dressing. The jam was surprisingly tomatoey without tasting like ketchup. For my entrée, I had their popular beef tenderloin. It looks just like all the pictures! And it’s a great sized portion(Approximately 8oz serving). The layers are awesome, you can deconstruct it and taste everything together. The brie crust wasn’t over-browned, I was impressed! There were greens, rosti style potatoes hidden at the bottom, and everything was smothered with fois jus with cranberries. I loved my dish!(Even if it was slightly overcooked) For dessert, we shared the chocolate bread pudding with peanut butter mousse and maple anglaise. You could definitely taste the chocolate but it’s still more bread pudding like than chocolate cake-like. I thought the peanut mousse was well done and foamy and I would have liked a bit more maple sauce… all over my plate and in my mouth. Overall, I would not hesitate to come back here or recommend it to a friend. Second to seeing the falls, I think that this restaurant is a must-visit!
