Came here on a weekend getaway with the girls, and this place is truly a gem! Friendly staff, truly authentic Indian food, which was delicious. Wish we had gotten pics, but we ate before we thought about it. We ordered the eggplant dish(forgot what it’s called), one that’s butter chicken but uses cheese instead, tandoori chicken, pakora(?), and something that involves popped rice. The pakora was our especial favourite! We would definitely come back next time we’re in town. I’m only sad that we were so stuffed that we couldn’t finish the naan and roti.

Very very expensive food for quantity with low quality as well. I went there after seeing good review on Unilocal but disappointed. Waiter tip was added for party of four which is unheard of. I would suggest look for other restaurants in the area there is plenty.

Felt disappointed after going there after reading good review… Food is overpriced for the quantity we got. Food was unnecessarily spicy(I am an Indian and I love spicy food but this was burning my tongue spicy). Also the tip was already included on the bill and we were only four people. When we asked the waiter he said«oh it just prints on the bill» okay!

Fantastic food! Took our 3 and 8 year old kids and they loved it too. We got the butter masala and daal makhni and they were delicious. The spice level was low and great for kids.

Well, unfortunately this review is not based upon their food, but their lack of customer service. We were seated promptly, as there was no wait and not a whole lot of people there. However we literally waited 20 minutes and no one ever came over to our table at all. Not one! Even though throughout that time several of the wait staff seemed to be chatting with each other. Even the hostess who seated us never acknowledged our presence again. We even saw one table being helped by two different wait staff. It was like we were invisible. So bizarre. So we left. I highly suggest going to Passage of India down the road. Awesome buffet and friendly service!

After many hours of walking around the falls, I wanted something warm and filling. This definitely did the trick. We ordered samosa(though I was disappointed they were out of spinach and paneer), aloo tiki, and kalongi bengan(eggplant). I would absolutely order the appetizers again, and the eggplant was good, but I would probably try something different next time. However, the best thing we had was the sweet lassi. It was rose and pistachio flavored and SOGOOD!

HORRIBLESERVICE! Average food. Masala papad was bad, peanut shooters were good. Paneer makhani was bad dal makhani was good. Chat items were STALE. Extremely poor service, they did not bother to clear items on the table nor did they bother to give us fresh plates inspite of us requesting it. Surprising thing was service was very poor inspite of restaurant being half empty. I will never return to this place nor will I recommend this place.

Flavour explosion! Looking for a good restaurant outside of the madness of Niagara Falls this restaurant was right by my hotel and after reading other Unilocal reviews I thought I would give it a shot. Man, was I not disappointed ! Went around 1 pm and it wasn’t busy got to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the awesome weather. I ordered the tomato basil soup to start and it was delicious. Some reviews say that the food is too spicy or the portion size is too small… this isn’t an all you can eat buffet folks ! Ordered the butter chicken and as a HUGE fan of Indian food thus was some of the best flavorful Indian food I have ever eaten. My waiter was«sunni«and he did a fantastic job of making sure my experience was unforgettable !!! If I lived in Niagara Falls I would make this restaurant a staple in my food books ! This was a pleasant Indian surprise. I was sceptical in finding good Indian restaurant in Niagara Falls based on my previous experiences, but this place is pretty good. The prices are good, the food is really tasty, however, the portion size was smaller than I expected. Also, there was not enough rice on the plate. We had to order extra. I mean, there was almost no rice at all(it’s supposed to be served with naan or roti and rice). I really liked roti and Masala Chai. Would come back again.

I’ve had Indian food from all over the world and this curry is on point. The one stars have me thinking that this restaurant must be inconsistent. The problem could be different chefs or cooks or maybe new management all together. This is my second visit in a year or two and both experiences have been memorable. In fact we enjoyed our first experience so much that we commuted here from Toronto excited to dine here again. The butter chicken was divine and the chicken was cooked to absolute perfection. And none of this white meat nonsense, but proper juicy dark meat. I also thoroughly enjoyed the pappadum with spicy Indian salsa. Great idea and I think I growled while devouring it. My Moksha chicken curry was fire hot as requested but still delicious. That’s key. Flavourful heat. The burnt garlic and chilli pepper fried rice was REALLY good. The salted lime soda was lovely too. They also catered to our food allergies attentively which when dining out is a rarity. My husbands instant eczema and upset tummy can attest to that. But we were over the moon to leave in good health! We will definitely come back.

Before heading back to the US side, we decided to have some Indian food. The lamb curry was so soft and naan was of course my kids favorite kind of bread. The food was too spicy for my kids, but they loved the samosa, naan, and mango lassi. We also had shrimp briyani and the shrimps were pretty big. All in all, it was a great lunch.

Ordered chicken masala and a curry dish. Both were inappropriately spicy, so much so that you cant really taste the food. And yes, I know and love spicy foods(re: habanero sauce on eggs etc), but this kind of burning sensation after eating what should be ordinary Indian dishes is not right. If I had ordered some regional cuisine, say from Kerala, India, would be a different story. Naan also has not much taste and arrived cold. we ordered take out and the delivery took more than 30 minutes for a location 1 mile away.

Picture the inside of a strangely equipped hotel. Within it, picture two denizens. Hungry, car-travel-worn. Six hours. Seven? They’ve come far; they’ve walked through Niagara Falls in the wind and cold. They are hungered. Watch them. Laugh with them as they Unilocal the delivery restaurants — unwilling to brave the cold, but are we so empty of forgiveness as to discount their grievances therefore? — the delivery restaurants open on a Monday night in January; as they settle in on a well-reviewed, appealingly-photographed Indian bistro. One calls the restaurant. They deliver. They take USD, though without any exchange rate at a $ 1=$ 1 value on which The Hungered lose money. The Hungered accept this. The Bistro takes their order(chicken tikka masala, lamb hara masala, aloo tiki, two mango lassis — water is requested, but a bottle of water is $ 10) and tells them, one hour, $ 51 total including delivery charge and all other charges. Half an hour later — early, but not as Christmas in July, more as an alarm at 4:00am — a man arrives on behalf of The Hungered. The Man passes over the food, with a request for the $ 51. Grievances follow. A note on the receipt mentions that the restaurant was out of aloo tiki, and none is provided nor charged — yet the total is the same $ 51. Somewhere in this Byzantine narrative there is a lie.(yet here, again, the Hungered is guilty of sloth and pays the Man with a tip, assuming the Man is not responsible for any of this. Does this shift the blame to the Hungered, or absolve the Bistro?) The order is also wrong — chicken tikka masala somehow became chicken vindaloo. The naan is rubbery. Like stale pizza bread. Like the band of a child’s swim goggles. The rice is adequate. The chicken vindaloo is not only a surprise, but an unpleasant one — oddly flavored and untrustworthy. The lamb in the hara masala is nearly unchewable by human tooth and jaw. The mango lassi is nothing to write, or indeed text, home about. Maybe this is just the fate of those who get this place delivered. I don’t know. I’m tired and I’m going to Tim Hortons in the morning.

In Niagara Falls for a visit. Wanting to not eat at a touristy dive, we followed other Unilocalers advice and tried this place. Glad we did. The service was great, food very tasty and just the right amount. Each serving comes with rice and Naan bread so you don’t feel nickel and dime’d when ordering. Plus I hate wasting food, you take it back to your hotel and never eat it. The prices are great too. And your supporting local families who own this joint and hire local too.

We are of Indian origin and carve for good Indian food. We have tried different Indian Resturant in Niagara and this is probably the best. It’s a little off from the Clifton Hill entertainment area but if you need some quiet time after a busy day, this is a good Resturant. I like their concept where they have naans or rice with every curry item. We tried the Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken and Paneer Tikka Masala. Food and ambience was good. The washrooms can be a bit cleaner. Check out one of their drinks called«Aishwarya Rye»!

After checking out fellow Unilocaler’s reviews, we decided to head over to Moksha. This place couldn’t have been more on point. At the time, we were the only diners in the place, so we were promptly seated. The service was not only very friendly, but they also weren’t hovering around us — enabling us to enjoy our meals. They gave us the perfect amount of time in between visits; they were there when they were needed, and not there when they weren’t. That is something that I appreciate, personally. Starting with the Bhel Puri, each spoonful was cooling with a hint of spice. I could’ve muscled home a 5-gallon pail of this, but I wouldn’t have room for the remainder of delectable edibles had I done so. Next off, the orders of Lamb Vindaloo(with the upgraded saffron rice and garlic naan) and Saag — Lamb Hara Masala. Not a spicy bite was left on either plate; a testament to the wizardry that had taken place in the kitchen. As an added bonus toward my rating of the place, the staff didn’t laugh at my girlfriend(well, at least not to her face lol) when she left the table to seek a waiter to ask for some milk, due to her underestimation of a pepper in her meal. Actually, whether they would’ve chuckled or not, it wouldn’t have influenced my rating; the food was that good. After enjoying some chai tea, we paid the bill and walked back to our hotel. I can’t wait to come back to Moksha for some top-notch Indian cuisine.

I love Indian food and after a long trip to the falls, we came here, as it was next door to our hotel. The food is ok at best, the flavors just seemed off on everything. And their default spice level is definitely way too high, and i love spicy. Had the vegetable samosas(didn’t know you could get that wrong). Chana masala(also an easy one) had all the wrong spices. My niece, so can generally handle a little spice, couldn’t eat much. They also give you a tiny serving of rice, though naan does come with the dish. Also, they accept USD only at a 1 to 1 exchange. Are you kidding? Overall, wouldn’t go back.

Food was good but the spices were off. They have a separate vegan menu and a separate gluten free menu but we’re completely out of tofu and many other dishes. Also, tell them the spice level you want, default is very spicy.

A decent Indian restaurant at Niagara Falls but too pricey. Décor was good but as always in many Indian restaurants, the washrooms were pathetic. Coming to the food and service. It was flavorful but too spicy. They didn’t ask for spice level preference instead made it way too spicy. There was good flavor and portion, though their wait staff claimed we needed individual entrees as the portion size was small. We were misinformed as we ended up with wasted food that we couldn’t finish or pack as our hotel had no fridge: The service was very slow. Soup took 25 mins and the entrees took over 20 mins — it was not a very busy day either. Three stars for the décor, flavor and presentation.

Perfect Service Experience. We are staying across the street; it’s after 10:00PM on Saturday night, we are hungry and have our four year old and two year old. We can see Moksha is well reviewed and attractive looking from the hotel window, but no way we can take our finicky toddlers for nice Indian food, right? But, Perkins and IHOP, both down the street are closed. So we decide to sit down at Moksha to see how it goes. This was the right call– kitchen still open? Yes. Can we sit in the deserted patio? Yes. We both ordered vindaloo(lamb for me, chicken for my wife) with garlic naan, and both dishes were knocked out of the park. Did the kids try anything? Well, no, but we convinced them to eat rice, which they both usually accept, and the enclosed patio allowed them to roam a bit and be a little loud. Overall, Moksha provided one of the best experiences dining out with the family that we have ever had on a night when we simply did not expect an easy time of it.
