Good overall experience. In the area and were looking for a quick lunch. Not wanting a full restaurant this was perfect. I ordered the pig in a poke, a quite tender and juicy pulled pork with bacon and apples. It came on a very fresh and not too thick chiabata bun. I thought it was very good for the price and taste. Only downside was that the staff did not seem overly friendly or helpful. However, even with the restaurant full we still got our food within 10 min. Overall, pretty good for a quick casual lunch.

Service terrible. The cashier was extremely impatient and a little rude to the man in front of me(for no reason). Then she greeted me extremely rudely, so I left without buying anything. Won’t come back

Terrible. The«Taste» of the food was probably better than the service… but that’s not saying anything. I decided to go to Taste rather than the plethora of nice-looking restaurants nearby because it seemed like a quick and easy place for a decent breakfast, but I was wrong on all counts. We waited in a short but non-moving line to order for 5 – 10 minutes, and decided to stick with it despite multiple patrons coming to complain to the workers, as we were short on time. I was going to go with egg on a bagel, but saw a rather depressing sandwich being prepared(with a paper-thin«omelette») so decided to get the crêpe with egg, cheese, and caramelized onions. Holly H. got a waffle with fruit. After ordering, we waited over 15 minutes for the robotic staff to bring us our food, as I sipped on my iced coffee, which was prepared by pouring hot coffee over ice to my horror. I eventually went into check on our order, as there were more workers than customers in the shop, but was told they were well aware that we were waiting. I just don’t understand how so much activity could result in so little simple food being prepared in so much time. When the food finally game, the waffle was overcooked and cold, «like cardboard.» Really gross, I make FAR better waffles every time I’ve stayed in a hotel with«make your own» waffles at continental breakfast. The crêpe was edible, but not much more. Pretty sure the eggs are all those pre-prepared egg patties. To top it off, it’s overpriced.(Waffles and apple juice + crêpe and coffee came out to 24 bucks).

Food is bland and service is slow. My wife got a sandwich with the microgreens. There was one twig of a green too small to figure out what it is. I guess micro meant the amount.

Taste may live up to their claim as «the healthy option», but it’s definitely not the tasty option. This was our last stop after a fantastic weekend spent at Niagara on the Lake, and unfortunately I wish I had checked the reviews before going in. It is in a great location and was only a few steps down the main strip from the hotel that we were staying at. We were just looking to grab a small bite for lunch. I ordered their signature Lunchbox sandwich which sounded very good. It’s essentially a turkey sandwich on focaccia with sliced apple, cranberry and cheddar cheese. My wife had a toasted bagel with salmon. We both also had a coffee and this came to $ 26. A bit steep considering the sandwich didn’t come with any sides. That aside would be ok if the food was good. But my toasted sandwich was cold. It had grill marks, but the cheese wasn’t melted, and just overall wasn’t very good at all. My wife said her bagel was ok, but it also wasn’t toasted even though she had asked for that. They also lose some points for service. There was only one other group of customers at a table when we entered, but when we walked up to the counter we were pointed to a stack of menus at the end of the counter and told to take one, sit down and come up when we’ve decided. It wasn’t like we were standing there holding anything up, we had literally just walked in. When paying they verbally request that you to «leave a tip for the sandwich makers». I’m not against tipping in any way at all, but I can not stand when places ask you to tip before they have even provided a service. Overall, it would be my recommendation to go somewhere else. You are literally surrounded by great restaurants on that strip, you would be much better off taking a few more steps in any direction.

Awful food. I ordered the roasted veggie salad($ 11 for a plate of frost-bitten greens and soggy eggplant-resembling veggies) because it was one of the only vegetarian options here and it was such a disappointment. Terribly slow service and overpriced. Will never go back. Nothing is fresh or made-to-order.

Terrible. Please avoid. We were the only people in the restaurant. I see why. Service was slow and unfriendly, yet they asked(verbally, at the register while ordering) for a tip for my «sandwich maker» at breakfast. I had the French toast. It tasted like something you’d prepare in the microwave at home from your freezer. I also had the yogurt and granola. It wasn’t appetizing to see them squeeze it into a bowl from the giant industrial bag of yogurt that they grabbed out of the fridge, but even worse the serving size was absurd. Picture a big cereal bowl filled to the rim with bland yogurt. My husband said his food was OK, but nothing special. Watching them make my food made me lose my appetite, and then it was just as bad as I expected. Lots of pre-prepared ingredients. There was NOTHING I liked about this place — this town has a LOT better to offer, don’t waste your time.

I ordered the pig in a poke sandwich and the pork tasted like fish. It was odd and concerning. The ciabatta bread was also far too much bread for the sandwich and there was barely any sauce to compliment the meat. It honestly was one of the worst sandwiches I have had in a long time. A real disappointment. I would not recommend this place at all.

Hit or miss… the veggie feast was gross(mushy and grey filling), but the cheese omelette croissant was very good. The prices are steep and the service is slow.

I came here after visiting niagara falls and some relatives suggested that lunch in the niagara on the lake area would be pretty cool. They have an assortment of sandwiches and salads here, all freshly made. I ordered the Ruben with a soup of the day, which happened to be vegetable soup. They were both super delicious. The soup was piping hot and great for the 30 degree weather outside. The sandwich was tasty, with lots of pastrami! The sandwich itself wasn’t too big and I was glad I ordered a full sandwich with the soup. Overall it was a great find and I would gladly come again(if I lived nearby). The staff was friendly and helpful when ordering as well!

This place is brutal. My husband and I ordered a BLT sandwich with side Caesar salad, Greek salad and a Reuben sandwich and three bottles of iced tea: Grand total was $ 55!!! While sitting down waiting for our food we could smell burnt bacon. They then brought me a BLT with burnt bacon nearly black, so I brought it right back and asked then to remake me sandwich and the staff asks«oh was that bacon too burnt for you?» Haha, unreal. When the waitress brought us our first salad we asked for a side plate and she says«I have to bring all your food out first okay?» Wellllll… how about bring a side plate when you bring the rest of the food?! Makes sense to me. Absurd prices for mediocre food and laughable service. Will definetly not return ever.
