One of the worst meals of my life– everything was pre-prepared and overpriced. The food tasted stale and flavourless and the service was subpar. Not worth it.

Loved It!!! We went for supper at the cosmos last Friday night. The décor in this restaurant is great, you have a lot of modern wood and cool lighting. Makes for a very nice atmosphere. The drinks are awesome, the food and service are excellent. Everyone was satisfied with the size and the taste of their plates. I had the Geyser for dessert and it was one of the best ”mi-cuit” I’ve ever had.

This was a good easy mid week brunch place. We are in town exploring for two days and walked over to this place mid winter from our hotel for a really late brunch on a Tuesday. The service is ok, but we don’t expect great service in Quebec City so we were happy with it. It’s quite pricey for just a simple breakfast but that’s ok we are on vacation. Just beware. The atmosphere is a little weird too. Hard to explain. The portions are huge which is totally a plus for us. We like simple big hearty meal portions so this worked out great. Most of their breakfasts come with some sort of meat which I don’t eat for breakfast but they had some good veggie options and salmon Benedict for him. All their potatoes come sautéed with bacon which we didn’t want but the server was great and said they could do plain potatoes no problem. The food really wasn’t very good, it was ok for what we were looking for which was to fuel up but it’s not an authentic Quebec breakfast experience and the Hollandaise sauce was pretty awful it tasted like it was mixed with gravy. Their omelette was really good though and they kept our coffees filled. All in all we left happy and full but definitely would try somewhere different next time we are in town.

Cosmos Café was suggested to us by the front desk staff at our hotel! It was quick and amazing; I had the ham and cheese croissant — holy hell… I said to Ed that u would wait in line for that meal any day! Ed had the sweet and salty crêpe which was also pretty insane. Service was quick and well priced!

First of all, get the duck confit poutine it’s awesome, just like the our lovely waitress«Ane» told us, it’s especially good before drinking and the day after when you need a hangover cure. The ambiance at Cosmos is great and the food really is worth every penny. The prices where very reasonable and the service was fabulous. Me and the girlfriend are looking to visit Quebec City again and enjoy a lovely breakfast there.

Nice décor and ambiance, but that’s about it. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLESERVICE. Simply, THEWORST! Both upstairs AND downstairs! Our group stopped by here for drinks on NYE waiting for the countdown to begin. We began in the downstairs bar(not knowing there was even an upstairs bar) and seriously waited ATLEAST30 minutes before the bartender even took our order. It’s not like it was a challenge getting to the bar either. We had a good 3 – 4 people of our group RIGHTATTHEBAR, but were being totally ignored! Then when they finally take the order, it takes FOREVER to pour the drinks. We then asked to add on 2 more shots because the bartender ran away hella fast after she took our order the first time. She then tells us that she cannot make the 2 shots because she has NOTIME. Really? Beezy, you didn’t even swipe our Credit Card yet! Whatever. Then she says to go upstairs. Fine! Don’t take our money then! UPSTAIRS — EVENWORSE! The girls and I decided to try our luck at ordering drinks. The bar up here was definitely less busy and more empty space along the bar. We got the bartenders attention fairly quickly. Our order: 5 shots Jack Daniels 2 shots Patron 2 shots Kamikaze 1 Rum and Pineapple Well that was easy… not. We THOUGHT the bartender was making our drinks but turns out he was helping other customers at the bar and pouring beers for a good 15 – 20 minutes. We tried flagging him down again but it was obvious he completely forgot about us. I then flagged down another bartender/barback to tell her to remind him. My friend got so pissed about the service she ended up leaving. By then we were so irritated, we were about to say F it! Find another bar that deserves our business. Then out of the blue, as if the bartender suddenly had his light bulb turn on, our drinks were made so fast! He of course, forgot to make the Rum and Pineapple. I dropped the shots off at the table and went back to tell him forget about the Rum/Pineapple because the girl doesn’t want it anymore since it took too damn long. He suddenly makes one appear except it has APPLEJUICEINIT! I said NO! PINEAPPLE! He then puts the glass to the side where the clean glassware was and runs off again. I told the barback girl who was nearby to just cancel it. He runs back over with the correctly made drink and I told him we don’t want it anymore. He then goes to tell me, No you have to take it. I tell him I’m not paying for it. He tries to tell me I HAVETO because its already on my table. UHNOFOOL, IT’S NOTONMYTABLE. ITSONTHEBAR! The manager comes by and I explain to him why we don’t want it anymore yet he backs his bartender up saying we still have to pay for it. DAFUQ?! Our other friends came over to just say we’ll take it. Ugh, this place is so lucky there are nice people in our group. If you are in the downtown area and stumble across this place, KEEPWALKING! This place bar does not deserve business for the way they provide«customer service.» Maybe if the bartender didn’t DRINK behind the bar while working, they would remember their customers’ orders and provide the drinks in a timely manner how it should be!

This was an easy choice for our group as it was right next to our hotel and we were in a hurry, however we could have picked a restaurant way further and have been done way sooner. The restaurant was decently crowded when we arrived but as we waited over half an hour for our check it had emptied out. This was after our food arrived before our drinks, draft beers. The food was good but didn’t matter by the time we left.

Food 3.5÷5 Ambience 4⁄5 Service 4⁄5 Food was generally good, especially the deluxe egg benny. Portion was really big so I couldn’t finish the whole plate on my own. The reason why I would say the food was 3.5 is because my toast was really burnt so I couldn’t really bite into. Another surprising thing was that my latte came out in a bowl(with no handle). I wasn’t sure if it was quebec/french style or just this restaurant. The interior and service was good. They also have small gold fish swimming under the floor which was cool.

We had a great brunch on a Thursday around 1p. I got the sweet and salty crêpe, which came with tomatoes, ham, and swiss cheese inside. It was served with maple syrup(the real stuff!). There were also some pieces of fresh fruit and bacon sautéed potatoes. Yum. It came with a café au lait, which was delicious as well. My husband had a bagel sandwich with cream cheese, bacon, and tomatoes. He liked it a lot too. Great food and friendly service!

16 $CA +txs for a «full English breakfast». Decent, but overpriced food in a tourist trap. My plate came with ham, one sausage and bacon, plus two eggs(scrambled = chopped-up omelet), beans, and bread. Make sure you try the creton(fatty pork spread, like paté) while in Quebec. Good: espresso as an option, instead of normal coffee, free refills, creton, Bad: price, feels stuffed, loud music

Honestly as good as it gets for a crowd pleaser in Quebec City. After scouring Unilocal for reviews on a place for breakfast, I came across Cosmos and it was the best decision we made on our trip(and we didn’t have a bad meal in Quebec City). Our first meal, brunch, was fantastic. We were greeted in French by pleasant staff who quickly switched speaking English after realized our French vocabulary didn’t extend far past Bonjour! We were seated outside immediately(our preference) and our server was with us shortly after. We ordered the BAGELAUSAUMONFUMÉ(huge portions — bagel with smoked salmon, capers, creamed cheese, and the usual tomato and onions. The plate also came with fried potatoes and fresh fruit) Perfectly balanced plate with coffee, tea, or juice also included. We also ordered the OMELETTEPROSCIUTTOETASPERGES — also a huge portion with fried potatoes and fresh fruit. Enough to hold us over for a day of walking the city. We enjoyed our brunch so much we decided to return for dinner that night with the rest of our family. Again, everyone was satisfied, including two picky 10 year olds. Friendly staff, excellent pricing, great ambiance both inside and outside. Perfect for any meal of the day. Highly, highly recommended! I will definitely be back the next time I visit Quebec City.

Stopped here for breakfast before leaving the city after reading positive reviews about their breakfast. What a great decision. Ordered the béné à la forestière, benedictine and smoked meat, all of which came with coffee or decaf espresso(which was surprisingly satisfying). Firstly the portions are huge. Each plate came with two poached eggs on choice of protein and smothered in hollandaise, with fried potatoes, choice of toast, and fruit to finish. It was so wonderfully delicious. The eggs were poached perfectly, the hollandaise was rich and creamy, and the potatoes were crispy. Hands down, probably one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. I have had dreams about the béné à la forestière as it was SO good. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Quebec City. Side note: The bathrooms are magical and have fish tanks separating them from the dining rooms. I enjoyed them too much.

DUCKBENEDICT was excellent, and our server was attentive, cute and friendly(Audrey). My coworker also gave a thumbs up on his crêpe. Prices are a little high, but expected based on the location and vibe. C$ 20 buys a nice breakfast with tip. I shall return.

We came in for breakfast when I wanted crepes one morning. It was clear that breakfast here is FRUITFRUITFRUIT. MOUNTAINSOFFRUIT. And… it was all super fresh! I had crepes with cottage cheese and fruit, it was yummy and I was full all day. It was good to get a nice fresh breakfast on vacation. My boyfriend LOVED the bathrooms, which were nice and stone and private. I’d be curious to come back for drinks next time we’re in town.

AMAZING Crepes! The batter is delicious, and the nutella and chocolate topping was amazing. Also, the fruit on it was awesome and a good match for the chocolate(banana and strawberries). Service was fast, and coffee was good as well. My husband had one of the Benedicts, and it was also really good. The toast was some of the best toast I’ve ever had. I don’t know how its possible to make toast so amazing, but they did :) Big, thick, bread slices topped with yummy butter. yum yum yum! Would definitely go back if I’m in Quebec again.

The restaurant décor is very funky. I was not expecting it to be like that for breakfast. I ordered the Food Lover’s Crêpe. The menu said they were giant crepes, but they were much smaller than a normal crêpe, but thicker, almost like a small American pancake. They were generous with the fruit. It came with a side of maple syrup and yogurt, which was slightly watery. I also had the celestial smoothie of the day which was a combination of 4 fruits. It was delicious but I wish they had added a little bit of crushed ice. I know that slightly dilutes the juice but at least it would have stayed cold awhile longer. The restroom is nicely decorated with tons of ice in the urinal to prevent splashing or conserve water. The faucets were fancy but I was surprised when I looked up to see a fishtank in front of me and stare through into the bar area from the restroom!
