Great location on the corner. Hang out sip a coffee and watch the strange world of bc walk by. After a while you may notice some of these people are walking circles around the block, some are lost tourists and some are following their nose to the herb shop up the street.

I’m obsessed with Blenz matcha chilo — I drink it every single day, sometimes even two. That being said, I know how it’s supposed to taste like from the color and of course, from the taste. Today I got a matcha chill from this location as usual. Most of the time, it tastes really good when Dora makes. However, there’s a new barista who tends to put more matcha & ice while putting less ice cream. So it doesn’t taste sweet but rather bitter, and harder to sip due to too much ice & less liquid. It happened twice already but didn’t say or complain until today. I wasn’t upset or mad about her as they can simply put more ice cream in my drink, or make me better one on my next visit. BUTTHEN, the manger CJ? jumped into our conversation while I was explaining about the drink to Dora. The manager asked me to come talk to her in a very snobbish, arrogant attitude. The way she was talking to me was so rude and offensive — She took my matcha chillo away first, and told me she would not make a new one but instead she would give the money back. It was kinda funny because I didn’t even ask for any of those options. I assume that’s how she deals with every situation like this. This conversation went on, and she was saying«So what do you want me to do? Do you want money back? I will give your money!!» what the… I was so speechless. What kind of manager would treat their customers like that? I don’t expect royalty or anything, but she can be at least polite. She has no courtesy at all. I wish she learns how to make customers happy and deal with such situation if that happens again. Felt like I was being scolded from my teacher in a class because I asked a «wrong» question. Worst Blenz experience. I still love their employees though!

Stopped by this place for some morning coffee and ended up trying the Royal Tea Latte– definitely a new favorite of mine! Now I’ll be looking for a Blenz Coffee whenever I’m in Canada to get my coffee fix. They had a cute little sidewalk patio and free wifi. Lots of spacious seating and super friendly staff.

I work nights just around the corner from this shop, late nights i some times go in for a protein shake. The guy who works the later shift knows me by name and what i drink along with the little specifications i ask for. I have given a 4 starts because of the state of the bathroom, unfortunately this is perhaps the dirtiest bathroom in the downtown district of vancouver.

My review is purely for WEEKENDNIGHTS only at this venue. Maybe it’s more pleasant in the daytime, but I’m reviewing what I’ve experienced on many Friday and Saturday nights between 10pm — 3am. I’d like to give this more stars, but I knocked down a few stars because this Blenz is so cold on the several weekend nights I’ve come here. For some reason, the staff like leaving one of the doors wide open at NIGHT, letting in a very cold draft that has the whole venue freezing cold. I noticed other customers seated with their coats on. They’ve done this on many occasions in December, January and February, Vancouver’s coldest months. We were irritated because even when a customer closed the door, a male staff member would open it again and leave it open. The whole point of a coffee shop is supposed to be warm and cozy, not icy cold. We wondered if it was because the baristas felt hot working. Well, that’s pretty selfish to freeze all your clients when you see everyone wearing their coats or rubbing their hands. The crowd that drifts into this place has been pretty shady on weekend evenings as well, and the staff are not well-trained to handle it, or they act scared which doesn’t comfort me as a customer. There was a crack addict who picked up a broom and started sweeping the store, it was super awkward as she thought she was an employee and was sweeping around customers. Then there was a homeless person who visited the shop and left her very giant and very dirty looking dog(giant size as in St. Bernard size) inside sitting at the bathroom doors. A female barista asked me if the dog was still there blocking the washroom doors, because she said she was scared to go to the washroom and had been holding in her pee for a while, hoping the homeless person and dog would leave. Her male co-workers just stood there, not even offering to help(they should have asked the person and giant dog to stop camping by the washroom). If I were the Blenz manager, I would have done something, but since I don’t work here, it’s none of my business to step in. Granted, the riff raff coming out of the Granville night clubs and drunkenly stumbling into this Blenz can make any place feel shady, but this location needs to have a stricter management in place to be firm enough to tell drunks, crack addicts, loiterers, and homeless people not to camp by the indoor washroom area or picking up staff items. I heard a nearby remark, «They need to hire some employees with real balls». Oh, ouch! But I totally agree, especially for this area in the late weekend evenings. The Tim Hortons right across the street feels a lot safer when I am there on the same evenings and time frames. They seem to be more diligent in keeping their area safe and customer-friendly. Step it up, Blenz, don’t make this coffee shop location famous for weekend butt jokes!

Blenz Coffee is a Canadian coffee chain that is similar to Starbucks. They have plenty of locations in Vancouver. This one is at the corner of Granville and Nelson. It is a convenient location as it is in the middle of the Granville Entertainment District which is Vancouver’s nightlife district. This location is not open 24 hours like the one located on Denman Street in the West End, but they are open later than most coffee shops. Midnight on weekdays and till 3 am on the weekends. The late hours on the weekends make it a good spot to sober up after a long night of fun. The storefront is not that big. It has a few sitting areas, but can’t accommodate as many people as the two story Tim Hortons across the street. The menu is similar to the one at Starbucks, though I find the tea drink selection to be a bit better at Blenz. Grabbed a mango rooibos tea to go. I appreciate that they charge the same price for all sizes of hot tea. After all, the only difference is more water for a large. I will note that the tea comes in a bag rather than loose leaf though if that makes a difference. If you are looking for a coffee shop that is open late or looking to lick your wounds from a night of debauchery in the area, check out this Blenz.

Gotta love Blenz. Maybe it’s the Starbucks mentality, but I like knowing that I can always get a decent coffee(or tea) in various cities. I trust Blenz, and they have never done me wrong. Their steamers and teas are pretty awesome, btw.

I decided to try the belgian hot chocolate here after seeing a bus go by with an advertisement for it! Apparently no powders are used, only real chocolate… This hot chocolate was to die for! It was the perfect sweetness and richness(not too rich) but really tasted like I was drinking a melted high quality chocolate bar… I wish I had discovered it sooner so I could have had one every day! Same price point as Starbucks.

I had the Rooibos chai latte made with half sugar. Super glad that they were able to make this latte with less sugar as I find everything in North America a lot sweeter than in Australia. Interesting flavour to this latte. No caffeine in it so good for those sensitive to caffeine. TIP I’m a bit of a cheat and was able to use the wifi code outside all the blendz coffee shops for whenever I wanted to quickly look up a location or check my email. Thanks Blenz! I

Some things to know about Blenz in general: * Coffee is horrible – stick to the tea/tea lattes or chocolate or matcha drinks. * You need a WIFI code to access the internet, ask up front. * The bathrooms are usually effing disgusting! This one is quite bad… This Blenz: My usual go-to chain coffee shop is located up the street from this one… at Granville & Davie. While this one is smaller, I prefer this one in some ways to the other. It’s more cozy therefore it’s nice for a chat, and not as noisy or congested as the one down the street! There are usually not many people at this one compared to the other one, which is surprising because it’s Granville!

When I was stuck in the pouring rain on a road-trip from Seattle, confused and without cellular service, Blenz Coffee was my savior. After talking to the baristas, they eagerly helped me out with a nice cup of warm water, wifi access and talked to me about places to go in Vancouver. Now, whenever I am lost in the rain, I think of Blenz Coffee.

I was glad to see this little coffee shop down the street from my hotel. What a treat! It love the décor — wore in contemporary. It has a casual laid back feel with its window aimed bar seating, lazy chairs and mood lighting. On the radio is a lot of popular hits from all over the globe. That’s nice. I am drawn to places that are global in nature. And such a mix of folks. But I am not sure if that’s because it’s conference season, or because Vancouver played Los Angeles tonight. Anyway, they have a nice assortment of cookies, brownie bars, sandwiches, vitamin water, juices and all sorts of other things. Try their peppermint tea — yum! And late hours, thank goodness. I came back a second day — in the morning. The latte is a little light, so if you like it strong ask for more ice or less milk. And their breakfast muffin was pretty tasty. Very nice comfortable space. I’m a fan!

Wish there was Blenz in Toronto. They make a great espresso. This afternoon it was a triple due to the number of hours on the go today. Just got downtown Vancouver and hopped in for a quick battery recharge as it’s a short walk from the hotel. The space is calmer than Starbucks and the décor is very nice. Lots of seating and the music is relaxing.

This location isn’t winning any beauty contests but it is a nice laid back place to chill and wait for friends if your meeting people downtown or just need to hide from the hustle and bustle of the city for a bit. It has the typical issue of many places with free wifi it is seemingly full of students but not so much that you can’t usually find a seat.

This Blenz Coffee location became my daily stop for a morning medium roast buzz. I appreciated that the baristas left ample height in my cup for soymilk. I am snooty about my coffee in an uneducated way — the blend tasted quality and smooth. The peanut butter bars are tasty, too — I savored one after an underwhelming game of pool.

This used to be my local and favorite Blenz! Always friendly, despite the amount of strange people that walk in to use the restroom ;) Is a nice cozy place to sit with a creamy warm latte, and watch the characters walk by on Granville. Who needs to read the Metro when you can just look outside? The small latte is quite large, very creamy without being wishy washy(as my mum would say!). They have a large range of pastries, though I’ll admit the rice krispies square was a little stale. I was saddened to see the front window smashed after the riots, but thankfully they had it fixed super quick. Recommended for a nice coffee, and good entertainment out the window ;)
