I loved the Mushroom Burger’s loads of big juicy roasted mushrooms combined with secret sauce on top of a delicious patty. The sloppy mushroom delighted me for hours.

SLOOOW service on the Saturday I was there. Looked like newbies in the food cart, which made for a long lineup and a long time to get our one burger. Grilled Mushroom Cheese Burger in Gluten Free Bun($ 9 +$ 1 for gluten-free bun) –My friend’s order so I didn’t get to try this but she said the vegan patty was crunchy. Hmm. –Gummy daiya cheddar cheese also kinda gross looking. Don’t look, just eat. Cheese Fries($ 5, or $ 4 with burger) –Portion is OK. -«Cheese» is some sort of pulpy mix that didn’t have the same gummy texture of the Daiya that was in the mushroom burger. –Tasty for being salty. Pretty decent for $ 14 and the fries can help make it a filling meal. Even without the fries, the size of the burger is pretty decent for $ 9. I wouldn’t spend half my lunch hour waiting in line and waiting for my order, though. TIP: Look for their truck that pulls the food cart! It’s probably nearby at metered parking which they have to feed periodically. I just think it’s a curious indication of the cost of doing business.

Waaa! I want to cry! Had gluten free burger and yam fries and it was soooo good! Total price was $ 13. Very fulfilling. Can’t believe it was vegan, wouldn’t need meat if I could cook like this! Very good gluten free bun too. The dipping sauce with the yam fries was delish too.

Finally had a chance to try this food cart in Yaletown parked on the corner of Pacific Blvd and Davie Street! We ordered the grilled mushroom burger and the bacon burger. The mushroom burger we ordered with the gluten free patty and gluten free bun so as expected it is smaller than the regular size burger. It was a bit messy, the sauce was already oozing out of the wrapper when they handed it to me so it got all over my hands… not the best way to start off a meal. The burger was okay, not very filling, I could have had another but at $ 9 for just the burger I didn’t think it was worth buying another. Also there weren’t enough mushrooms for them to call it a mushroom burger! Slightly disappointed, when I order a mushroom burger I expect mushroom in every bite which I think is completely reasonable. It was more like mushrooms in every other bite. The bacon burger was okay, nothing special and I wouldn’t go as far as saying it was delicious. Again not filling, my friend could have ordered another but not worth another $ 10 in his opinion. I didn’t go at the busy lunch rush hour, I arrived at 2:30 and was the only one waiting for an order so I’m not sure why the chef didn’t take more care in making and wrapping the burger since there was no rush. Probably won’t go there again, the couple running the truck were very lovely but I don’t think the food was worth the price especially since we had to go elsewhere to buy something a little extra to fill our bellies.

Augh. I usually poke fun at my friends who are vegan — mostly about their limited food choices and if today’s menu of twigs and leaves will be altered in any way. So when my friend asked if I wanted to have a vegan burger from Loving Hut, of course I said«big fat nope». But being the indecisive person that I am and not being able to find anything else to eat for lunch, I promptly joined her to this bright yellow food truck. Guys, I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s the BEST burger I’ve had. Even better than the juicy meat burgers I like to shovel into my mouth. Fantastically seasoned and just grade-A delicious.

Best vegan burger I’ve ever had. I could eat there everyday. The mushroom veggie burger is too die for. The chicken burger is amazing. Moist and yummy.

Yum! I had the onion ring burger and it was delish. Although be warned– you’re going to get burger guts everywhere. Not sure why, but my burger bun didn’t really hold together and, with the amount of sauce on the burger, I was a hot BBQ-y mess two bites in. Which was totally awesome — just maybe don’t grab lunch from here with your boss or on a date…

I was so excited to try this food truck since there are so many excellent reviews on here! I was so disappointed! I feel like this food truck is for people who are NOT vegan, but want to be, or a great place for vegans to bring their non-vegan friends to, since the food doesn’t taste very vegan. This is obviously a plus for lots of people(given the reviews) but I equate vegan food with health food, and I felt like I was eating at McDonald’s. The burger buns are white, the«chicken» burger I had tasted deep fried, and the burger was loaded with classic fast food condiments — shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, and what appeared to be some kind of(vegan) mayo. I guess I was expecting something a bit more sophisticated or home made(It doesn’t appear that their buns or their«meats» are homemade, but are store bought, and the produce did not taste fresh). And then the fries — omg, I think they were frozen oven fries! They were rippled and soggy, like McCains frozen fries. I was hoping for something more stereotypically vegetarian: whole grain bun, homemade patty, bun loaded with garden greens and sprouts and local artisanal spreads, and fries that were clearly made from real local potatoes. This is my fault for making assumptions, but for those of you who haven’t tried this food truck out, don’t go in with these expectations! And, if you’re trying to convince a fast food loving meat eater that they can appreciate vegan food, then take them here because I think they’ll appreciate it. I’m giving it two stars because on top of being something I wasn’t expecting(which is not their fault) I still think it’s way overpriced for what it offers, and I think there is way better tasting and quality vegan food(even fast food) available in Vancouver.

chicken burger was really good. The Fries didn’t come with ketchup which seemed odd to me

I got the crispy chick’n burger and it was amazing! Definitely worth a try if you are in the neighbourhood. I love how it’s vegetarian yet you forget you aren’t eating chicken! It was tender and crispy at the same time. Worth the wait!

Isn’t the point of a vegan or vegetarian restaurant to make their food taste like meat? The more the food tastes like meat the better the restaurant is! I dropped by my local Loving Hut with my friend. He was telling me about their mushroom burger and some yam fries! Ok the food was pretty good. The yam fries were crispy crunchy and the chipotle dipping sauce are a perfect match. The hamburger was surprisingly good. It was moist and tasty. I’ll have to come back to try their other offerings.

This is 1 of my favourite food trucks! I go here simply for the crispy chicken burger! Plus they sell the root beer I most enjoy as well — Virgil’s! 2 summers ago a friend introduced me to Lovin Hut and since then summers have always been delightful! He said to me … ‘You do know that it’s a vegetarian burger … right!?’ … as I chomped away — mighty happy! Could not believe it — tasted so flavourful and zesty! Have often jumped on the CanadaLine to get to Yaletown just to get a bite — well worth the trip! Burger is pricey but worth it! Check out the Vancouver StreetFood App for times and location of this truck.

A group of guys chatting like little girls over what burger to buy me for lunch is quite an interesting sight! Guy A suggested Crispy Chick’n. Guy B said, «no it’s too spicy for her». Guy A said, «I don’t like spicy food but I don’t find it spicy». Guy B asked me, «do you like spicy?» Guy C, D, and E were rolling their eyes in disbelieve they’re waiting for this conversation to be over. I said to Guy A and B, get me whatever you think is good, and no I don’t mind spicy. 20 minutes later they returned. Guy A delivered me a Crispy Chick’n. I was wowed by its massive size! I thanked, paid, and tipped him. With my lunch in hand, I walked out of my building and gorged. The buns were soft and pillow-y. The ‘chicken” was very crispy and tender of the insider. Seriously I wouldn’t have guessed it’s vegetarian. The burger had ample amounts of fresh ice berg lettuce and sliced tomatoes. The spicy guacamole definitely had some heat but it’s tolerable. I enjoyed it very much! I was full after eating only ¾ of it. Taste wise, I think it’s delicious. It was clean, not greasy, or salty. I do share the same concern as Meana. Meat substitute is highly questionable. I can’t help but to wonder on hind sight, what did I really consume? What ingredients or synthetic materials(if any) were used? That been said I can say the same thing about regular meat injected with growth hormones and anti-biotics. So here is my conclusion, as long as I don’t over dose on substitute meat products I don’t see why I couldn’t indulge it once in a while.

When it comes to vegan food, I’m a sucker for anything that has fake chicken in it. This place was perfect for that as it had a vegan chicken burger. The price was a little expensive for me($ 10 for a burger…) but it was worth it. I’ve had the brand of chicken they use in the past, but never battered and fried and omg… let me just tell you how amazing that tastes. I’m from Montréal and we have nothing like this! I just hope someday we do because I am totally going to come back to this location when I visit again!

Simply the best burger I have ever eaten. I personally love the crispy chicken. Friendly nice staff too. I wonder why they don’t open a restaurant because if they do it will make all the other burger places out of business.

boy oh boy I just tried tried this place and yummmmmmmmmmmmy. After watching horrendous videos of how animals are mistreated, I stopped eating meat and refused to eat burgers. However, after discovering this place, I am once again happy. omg omg omg the food was DELICIOUS. I had a bacon cheese burger and gobbled it up. I am very health conscious and try to eat only local, organic, vegan food and this place covered it all. I only wish they were open more often. 3 days a week and on Thursdays only until 5 seems like such a waste.

Oh yep yep yep. Dirty delicious vegan food. The peeps that run this truck are so nice. Sure the food takes a while, but be cool and wait. Crispy Chick’n burger avec yam fries. Holy hell it was good! It’s way better than your memories of a McChicken kids. Way better. The Bacon Cheezeburger was pretty good too. But for reals, get the Chick’n. Get fat, who cares.

This is the best food truck that has ever existed. My pal Bruce and I made plans to have lunch here on Friday. After seeing the daily menu on their facebook page, I knew I was going to have the Bacon Cheeseburger. I was going to annihilate it. With my face. Bruce ordered the BBQ Onion Ring Cheeseburger and we sat down and waited. ITWASSOTASTY. The«bacon» was smokey, crispy and salty. The«beef» patty was perfect and not at all dry or bland. There was even some kind of vegan mayo on it, as well as some typical burger condiments. ANDCHEESESAUCE. Made of daiya I think? It was saucey, messy, hot, and delicious. I got it all over my lap and I regret NOTHING. I didn’t feel all gross and sluggish after I ate it, either. I felt great! I’ll probably be back, like, every day.
