Came in at 9, even thought it’s open until 10… they stop serving food at 8:45, not sure why you would have an advertisement that you are open until 10 if you aren’t actually serving food.

This place was DEAD empty when we got there, and I think we were the only ones for our whole meal. That made me nervous initially! But it was good! The place is old, but retro and kinda cool and iconic. We just had burgers and they were good. I ordered a 49th Parallel beer and got a Stanley Park one, but felt it wasn’t worth complaining about. It’s pretty average, and nothing fancy but we would go back. Appreciated that there was not a huge line or wait to get in, service was fine, and burgers were good, seemed fresh! Conveniently next to the tiki bar where we wandered over for simpsons trivia after.

Mmm pizza was so good — thin, delicious toppings and juicy sauce.

Must’ve driven by this place a hundred times. Great atmosphere, even better décor, seating plans, music and service. Came here for a Foodster event, and offered 2 great choices, with the arugula my favourite over the mushroom. Generous portion of prosciutto too. The bonus is the potential for private parties as sections here galore. Lots TVs too for sports viewing too. Love the bamboo-like décor & long bar. Free parking all around.

Nonna’s is absolutely amazing! I have had their take out three times now. The sandwiches each time have been superb. As somewhat of a food critic, I give them 5⁄5!

Visited for 2016 done out festivities. Found the food to very underwhelming and was a little disappointing. Food took about 45min to come out and we were 1 of 3 tables in the ginormous restaurant. Service was good, considering the above. I really wanted to like this place and was sad that I didn’t.

We had our staff party here. The food was great, server was friendly, and the atmosphere is terrific. They were very good with catering to all of our requests. Would definitely book with Nonna’s Table again.

I love this room and the server/owner was super nice,. and the only other person there,. it was DEAD. I’m assuming night time is still hopping but I have the feeling that what happened is this space was taken over by a generic entity,. they changed nothing with the décor,. and generated zero buzz. We only had pop(fountain pop,. lame) and some gelato. Nothing we could not have bought at No Frills across he street but maybe the pizza is really good I’m hoping though other reviews don’t indicate that. I feel the next life of the Waldorf will require a reno and a few more of the dreaded condo projects to be completed in the area. It truly does show that sometimes the people are who makes a place great, and even when they leave their labour of love to others,. the soul might leave with them despite nice décor, and a historic space.

The food was 4 stars but the service was three. Went for lunch and it was completely dead inside, not a good sign but we were greeted, felt slightly judged because we under estimated the level of «fancy» it was. Waiters in white collared dress shirts. After being seated we were happy with the amount of gluten free options. The caprese salad was delicious, the gf pizza was great and the pasta was good but a bit buttery for me. The $ 10 soup and sandwich deal sounds great. In the middle of our lunch, our server walked out the front door, we guessed he was done his shift, I just found that to be slightly rude. As a person who has been a server, if you’re passing over a table — take 30 seconds and inform your table. And introduce your new server. We had the tiramisu which was ok, nothing to come back for and the raspberry gelato was actually sorbet — they should clarify that. We will be back — hoping everything that’s great continues to be and that the service improves!

It was a sad day when Nuba left us but Nonna’s is here now. And Nonna’s gonna take care of us. Brick oven, wood fired pizza and guess what? They’ve got gluten free options! Pasta is the same, gluten free options. I ordered only a green salad with chicken added on and I was impressed with what I got. Good value for the money! The dining area is totally vintage-retro, but none of that musty old smell. This is newly renovated. It’s sweet and I’ll definitely be back for more. A few flat screen telies are also good draw for sports fans.

Well, I haven’t felt this compelled to write a review in a while… Walking in, we assumed it was a «seat yourself» type of place, so we found a table in a comfortable corner. The restaurant was slow, and the server looked distracted. Eventually he came over with waters and two menus for four people, claiming they didn’t have enough for all of us(also, no cocktail menus). Still giving the benefit of the doubt, we picked some appetizers, a Salumi/cheese platter and some arancini. Before getting them, we saw staff bringing in huge bags full of groceries from No Frills, it almost seemed like they ran out of food. With our food up on the pass for a while, and after the service bell being rung multiple times, we finally got it. The arancini was pretty bland, not terrible. The Salumi and cheese was a bit of a joke. Some of the meat tasted like it was from No Frills, and the cheese was somehow no good(got some Parm/grana padano and blue cheese). How do you mess up cheese? The server was friendly. That’s really all that was good about this place. I can’t recommend this place in its current state. Disappointing.

Really great restaurant. I’ve been here twice now and it’s been empty both times which is a tragedy. Delicious and great service.

Finally the Waldorf has a restaurant again! Nonna’s Table specializes in pizza. The delicious straight from Italy in a wood fire oven pizza. They’ve got 8 types to choose from, a few vegetarian options. For my first visit they were able to make a vegan pizza for my friend. It wasn’t amazing but we appreciated the effort. The pizza isn’t up there with Via Tevere, but there is no line up ever. So if you’re hungry now with no time to wait, Nonna’s will help you satisfy your pizza craving. For those weirdos out there that don’t want pizza, you’re in luck, there are many other menu options that range from Italian dishes to classic bar fare. The beer list isn’t great. Hopefully they’ll be getting some local craft beers in soon!
