Good food! Large portions! Spicy spicy! Also… Fast service! Affordable price! Many options! They know my face now! Very nice people!

Asked for some chicken teriyaki noodles, non spicy and with no broccoli. Got spicy beef noodles with a piece of broccoli. Then had to insist them to return my money and went to McDonald’s instead. I did try to eat the food and was Ok with having beef and that piece of broccoli, but when I realized how spicy it was I just couldn’t handle it. Never going back.

I’ve been doing my best to come back to this place because it’s right by the library. The food has always been barely edible. If anything I give it 5 stars for consistency –as inconsistently bad.

Unseemly place, but tasty food and friendly service. Generous portion, free complimentary tea/​ice tea/​water. You can get a meal there for $ 10, give or take.

Found this spot on Robson on our way back from Rogers arena and are we glad we found it! Really good food for a small little place but flavor is definitely really good!!! My bf got the pineapple chicken to play it safe but I got the szechuan chicken wit shrimp added… really good! Don’t hold nothing back on portion either and spice if u want it, I only got a lil spice added but I’m scared to kno how spicy it would be if I just said yes: P definitely keep this as one of our spots for future! :)

Delicious, fast and cheap. Staff were nice and friendly. I felt very welcomed the moment I walked in. Chicken Teriyaki was on daily special for $ 6.99 and it was really good. So much chicken and veggie along with rice. I felt so full in the end and couldn’t finish rice at all. Perfect place for cheap eats in downtown.

Fresh, delicious, and cheap! Finally decided to try this hole in the wall looking restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the lunch special $ 7, teriyaki chicken on rice and it was made to order, very tasty, and the portion was huge! I will definitely be back. Don’t judge this book by its cover.

The food is delicious and you get a huge portioning for the price. But the reason I keep coming back is because of the owners. They are the nicest, most friendly people around. Always remember my order and are genuinely happy to see me.

Know what you want to order as soon as you walk up to the counter! They don’t waste time! The food was really good and quick! A great place to stop in for a quick bite! Definitely able to share with someone and the sweet iced tea was not only great but free!

Great place, excellent food. Run by a very friendly family. Prices are much lower than you would expect. Easy to find walking down Robson street, across from the McDonald’s. I recommend the garlic beef or the teriyaki chicken.

Place didn’t seem much walking by but after reading the reviews on Unilocal we tried it out.
Delicious! You can tell they don’t cook it with Oils or MSG. The taste is so fresh and light, the portion however, is huge, my husband and I had to share. They have free ice tea that was also good and refreshing. The staff is very lovely and friendly.
I’d recommend this place and come back.

Oh yeah baby, gotta love this place. For $ 7 in downtown Vancouver, I can get a plate piled high with stir-​fried meat, veggies, and rice. No better deal in all of downtown imho.

They only got 4 out of 5 because they don’t have plates and cutlery. They serve the food in styrofoam containers and plastic cutlery., even if you dine in.

Nice hole in the wall. Friendly couple run this place. Good for takeout. Portions are substantive, excellent quality and fast service. I don’t normally give so many superlatives to restaurants like this. But well worth it.

The portions are HUGE. The food and flavours aren’t special or anything (maybe I’m just ordering the boring things) but the service is always friendly, it’s never too crowded and again, they pile tons of food on your plate.
Excellent place to go on a lunch break.

this is a mom and pop spot — the staff work hard and they make good portions of food. think of koyo grill top cooking with Chinese influence.
I had the pepper chicken spicy — was great! for the record there were some bits of cartilage in the protein — didn’t bother me, it may bother some.
overall, would eat here again.

This place is AWESOME.
If you’re looking for a quick bite, it doesn’t get any better.
Food quality: Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, this isn’t a high end restaurant but trust me the food is quite good and he cooks with steam and you can choose your spiciness level too.
Décor: It’s a fixer upper, but you will learn to love it.

Service (¹⁰⁄₁₀): The owner and his wife, Jim and Grace are literally the nicest and friendliest people you can imagine who want nothing more than for you to enjoy your stay at their restaurant.
They have homemade iced tea available for their customers at all times, its a small gesture but makes you feel welcome.
I have come in several times and Jim always remembers me and greets me like a loyal customer. One time my friends and I hung out well past closing without realizing it but Jim never once asked us to leave and patiently cleaned up in the kitchen until we realized we had overstayed our welcome. Sorry Jim! Thanks for the free dumplings!
