Overall menu quality is great and their service was outstanding. Menu changes were not my cup of tea because I fell in love with this eggplant dish and they took it away. Overall, I’d come back

Just finished a dining experience for our anniversary at a local restaurant called ‘WildCraft”. It wasn’t just good but great with excellent service. I would highly recommend the Manitulian Rainbow Trout or Steak Frites. We shall go there again and again.

Great place for business lunch. Good décor. They have a good drink and wine selection. Went for lunch and had the steak. Not a bad steak but too much condiment. Asked for medium rare but it came medium. Service was top notch.

I’ve been to Wildcraft a bunch of times, and it has a nice balance of food and service. The food is usually good, and they often have special tasting menus or daily specials which are interesting. What stands out to me about Wildcraft is the service. One day me and a friend were eating at Wildcraft, and we ordered some appetizers, entrees and dessert. As we got our bill, the server mentioned that they had comped our appetizers because they took a while to come out. My friend and I hadn’t even noticed the wait and were pretty surprised at what had happened. The gesture was highly appreciated and its nice to be reminded that this level of service exists.

3.25 This not a keg keg is the perfect spot to go for colleagues that definitely absolutely do not want to escalate to sexy time compadres. The ambiance is corporate with a whiff of warmth provided by 15 yr old décor. The food had about the same personality. I had the bacon wrapped tenderloin with mashed, topped with herbed butter instead of the blue cheese. It was fine. Steak was prepared just right. My real complaint is the lacking selection on the menu, uninspired and yawn inducing. The apps section was remarkably better! With bold and fun options like short ribs and shrimp tempura the size of tea plates. And those sound out of date but at least there was variance. The service was scant. Pleasant when there! And the wine list is massively impressive and accessible! Try this place out if you are stuck for somewhere to take that date you don’t wanna go on but your grandma is making you. It’s not going to give any one the idea of romance or giving af. :’)

Went to Wildcraft for Valentine’s Day, but only ordered a dessert off the Valentine’s Day menu as I hadn’t been before, and there was so many other stuff on their regular menu we wanted to try. First off, the bread bowl was fun. Came with some beet hummus and an amuse bouche with salmon tartar on top of a little beet chip. The amuse bouche was delicious. For an appetizer we decided to share a flatbread and picked the bianca as it seemed the most unique. The best parts about the flat bread is the presentation, as it’s in a triangle, and the crust is super thin yet still soft. The combination of flavours on the bianca was subtle yet interesting. The dominant flavours was the garlic, heat from the cauliflower, and pickled fennel. The kettle chips on top gave it a nice crunch. For my main I got the short rib with celeriac purée, crispy polenta, caramelized onions, goat cheese, roasted grape tomatoes, and boy choy. Really enjoyed it, and would say it is better than the short rib dish at Bauer Kitchen, as this one had a lot more going on. The purée was fantastic, and so smooth. Mixing the short rib with some goat cheese, purée, caramelized onion, or au jus definitely made for some delicious bites. My girlfriend got the Garganelli Pasta which also was delicious as I had a couple bites. It was apparently great with the feta. I liked that it just wasn’t a tomato sauce For dessert we got the Cheesecake Lolipops, which were delicious. The outside coating was nice and crunchy, and they were nice and cold. A perfect ending to a meal. We tried all three kinds, and the New York cheesecake one was our favourite. We also got the brownie and blondie dessert which was only on the Valentine’s Day menu. The crème fraîche ice cream was our favourite part. Wish there had been more of that on the plate.

Very classy high end restaurant. The atmosphere and service is great here, but for the price, the food was only mediocre. Although the presentation of the food was super, the taste itself was disappointing. I’m not saying the food was bad. In fact, it was quite good. But given the style of restaurant and price of the food, I expected much better than it actually was. The food was no different than any other restaurant around.

My sister and I took our mom here for dinner to celebrate her 70th birthday recently. We had a wonderful time –great food, friendly service, and some really nice extra touches. We ordered the taro chip nachos to start, which were different and quite tasty! The fresh bread that followed had a simple black bean oil dip. We could have had more when offered, but decided to save ourselves for our mains. I got the vegetable strudel, which was just okay. My sister and mom both loved their dishes though. My sister had the walnut and fennel garganelli and my mom enjoyed the«beef & blue»(said her steak was done perfectly). Before dessert our server surprised us with 3 glasses of sparkling wine as a birthday treat for my mom. We had to pace ourselves with that, as we were still making our way through a bottle of red, but it was a delightful surprise! For dessert we ordered the«dessert for 2» which included a chai crème brûlée, choc raspberry torte, and vanilla mocha icecream –all delicious. All & all, a great meal and wonderful dining experience. Environment is quite comfortable, but ask for a booth!

Duck entrée was ok. Enjoyed the Blue Burger. Steak frites was ok, asked for medium rare and it came out medium well. The only dish that was bad was the Miki noodle dish. There was way too much sauce in the noodles. Too salty to eat so we had it sent back and a dish re-done with less sauce and salt. The small asparagus side was $ 7.00 and the mushroom side was $ 4.50! Don’t bother with the sides, better off ordering a salad.

This is a upscale restaurant built in the vein of the Houstons chain with dark woods and cocktail menus. The prices are on the steep side and the staff are above-average looking. Our business group expensed the meal, but when I looked around there were others who were paying out of their own pocket. Overall I was disappointed by the grand sounding steak which was 45-day dry aged. I also thought serving such a fine piece of meat with a bacon showed a lack of finesse. I was waiting for the A-1 sauce to be offered next. The others in my party seems happy with their orders. I looked over enviously at the steak frites 10oz with peppercorn sauce.

Great service and food but a bit on the pricey side. You get what you pay for I guess. The striploin was cooked nicely(a bit too much gristle and fat though) and the cheesecake dessert was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. It was double baked and 100% delicious. The only dish I didn’t like was the Wildcraft Salad… there was barely any dressing and it tasted like I was eating grass.

I have given this place so many chances and I am always left feeling foolish. Yesterday was the breaking point. I ordered the Duck breast, my mother ordered a flat bread. My plate was extremely hot, obviously due to it sitting under heat lamp(obvious because the jus that was to accompany the Duck was crusted to the plate), meanwhile, the flatbread was cold — room temperature at best. I can understand this possibly happening if the restaurant is slammed or understaffed but that was not the case. There were 4 tables in the entire place, and enough staff on to have a guest each. The service was not bad, it was intact the only saving grace. The Charcoal Group has created this collection of mediocre restaurants that have set the dining standard at an all time low in the tri-cities. Somewhere along the way somebody decided that they were the bench mark for other restaurants, and I now blame them entirely for the terribly mundane food that this town has to offer.

Actually 3−½ stars! I’m iPad challenged on Unilocal and can’t figure out how to give the half-star. May 12⁄14: kids and I took my wife out for Mother’s day Brunch. Decent atmosphere, great, attentive and engaged wait staff. Food was better than average, and for me, full value… I don’t consider $ 100 expensive to feed 5 adults to be pricey when the food delivers! Well done Wildcraft, probably back next year as its right across the street from where I live! Finally, they did an excellent job making me feel welcome despite the walker and my slowness of movement. Something missing from many places I eat at, once!

Right off the bat, I have to say the best thing about this restaurant is its service. We had such a friendly waiter and he did a great job checking with the kitchen about my allergies. The food was excellent too. I had the pork tenderloin special with mushroom barley(walnuts were omitted for me because of my allergies), celeriac purée, and zucchini ribbons and was really impressed. We loved both desserts we had as well — an Oreo cheesecake lollipop and the triple chocolate mousse cake.

The anticipation of an amazing meal, was followed by disappointment after last nights experience. This restaurant was chosen by the staff for our work Christmas dinner as we’ve come here before and enjoyed the food and ambiance. The food at best was mediocre. I got the Asian beef salad for my starter and the beef although well cooked was very cold. The rest of the salad was very bland with unappetizing chunks if avocado thrown in. My main was a little better,(mushroom fusilli with chicken) but as the other reviews have mentioned, it could have passed for a meal at Kelsey’s or Montana’s. Definitely not worth the money. I did appreciate how attentive the servers were but there could have been a host at the entrance to see us out and thank us for our business.
