Our tour guide brought us here and I am so glad he did! Rollingdale is a great example of a small but excellent winery. The focus is definitely on the wine. Their tasting bar is right inside their warehouse and as you go in you walk right by the crush pad. I enjoyed their $ 30 cab sav the most, but their pinot gris was a less expensive keeper too. Their selection of ice wine and port is also impressive and not to be missed.

We were taken here by our Tour guide as he said he knew the winemaker personally. Upon arriving we were greeted by the Winemaker himself. Rollingdale is an organic Winery, and the Winemaker talked about being the one to personally weed and pick the grapes and for us, it made the Wine that much more special. We purchased the Pinot Blanc, which is absolutely FABULOUS! I am actually searching to see how we can get more shipped to AB! We had a sample of their Ice Wine, and I do not like sweet wine, but was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed them. Rollingdale was a more personable wine tour experience, and we throughly enjoyed our time and the Wine at Rollingdale. We would absolutely recommend Rollingdale family and friends and have already! We will definitely visit Rollingdale again when we in Kelowna next time.

Amazed at the raving 5 star reviews for Rollingdale. Yes, it is off the beaten track and different from most wineries, but in terms of actual wine itself, I wouldn’t say 5 stars at all. Love how casual this place is though. The ice wines are stunning and they are very reasonable in terms of price for the amazing quality that you get. Must try the ice wines. Everything else is … ok.

Spent the weekend in west kelowna and ended up at this little winery. Upon entering really didn’t know what to think, certainly not fancy. The woman behind the counter was extremely friendly and informative. We asked for a tasting and mentioned we’d only try the whites, she then said that she’d let us try all the ice wines too! There’s six!!! They were all amazing! Unheard of to be able to try that many ice wines! Two out of the three of us bought a bottle and she waved the tasting fee for the three of us. This was our first stop of the day of wine tours and it kinda ruined us cause nothing else compared. Will for sure be going back to rollingdale again.

Rollingdale wasn’t supposed to be a part of our tour, but we had a little extra time and our guide said it wasn’t to be missed. He wasn’t kidding. Right when we rolled up we were greeted by an enthusiastic and incredibly adorable dog whose demeanor was equally matched by the owner and our tasting provider. I purchased a bottle of the Workingman’s Red(because how could I not) but could easily have walked away with a lot more. Everything we tasted was phenomenal(especially the reds and ice wine) and the atmosphere was completely down to earth and had a real family-friendly feel to it, which I loved. Definitely going back for a case.

This is now a regular stop on my way back from big white. Taste some wine, grab a bottle or 2, and grab some glasses and a «drink now» $ 5 special. This year I will try and make it up during my summer tasting trip.

What’s this about walking through a little mud to the wine shop located in a metal barn? Yup, all you la-di-da types need not apply. Thanks to the wonders of google maps, this was our last winery visit before heading back. Turning off onto a dirt road, we weren’t sure what to expect. We pulled up to this metal barn to a couple of guys busily operating misc wine-making equipment. With a kind shout welcome from the red head and bearded employee, we entered this magical barn. It was pretty cool to see the presser in action, spitting out all the seeds(I think). The barn contained everything. Barrels, stainless steel tanks and the sorts. Anyhow, we got right down to the tasting. Again, being a small(2 man operation), we were treated to a good laugh-filled service. They have several certified organic wines and everything tasted great. Gotta love wine tasting at 11am. My highlight of course, their ice wines. We sampled their Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and the very unique Portage ice wines. The last being titillating spectacular. Yes I use that word too much. Internationally, this small winery has done damn well, with their 2006 Pinot Gris ice wine scored a perfect 100points in the World championships in Spain. Best put in the red head’s words«not bad for a couple of hicks from the boonies». Beating out the mighty French is quite the achievement. And who said gingers don’t have souls.

Best wine in the Okanagan. I’m from NorCal, and am fairly picky. I think this one and Cedar Creek are head and shoulders above the rest(though Mission Hill is pretty good, too). This winery is a Winner of an international ice wine competition. I much prefer the Chardonnay and the Merlot(which surprised me, believe me). You’ll be served in the unassuming but very functional tasting room by the owner, the wine maker, or maybe the vineyard guy themselves. They’re casual here and you can be, too. I doubt you’ll be disappointed by the wine. Worth the effort to find them.
