They lost my rental skis, which they had in their rooms. Then say they won’t do anything since they didn’t have security cameras. Go to literally any other hotel.

Pros: * Gear lockers in basement. * Close to chair lifts. * Comfortable bed. * Free wi-fi. * Bathrobes in room. Cons: * Noisy! Do not get a room near an elevator. Could constantly hear other guests talking talking talking as they waited for the elevator. Very noisy late into the night and while trying to sleep. Paper-thin walls. We could hear all sounds from other guests nearby and above. * Housekeeping did not replenish coffee. * Shower curtain was shabby, torn in several places. * Parking is $ 20 per day. * Only one elevator.(The other one was broken.)

Tl;Dr sound travels between the rooms and hallways due to poor sound insulation in the doorways. Would advise seeking alternative arrangements. Stayed at the hotel over a weekend to compete in a race. Was given a discounted rate, but would definitely stay elsewhere the next time in Whistler due to the poor sound insulation between the door and the hallway. People walking by and house cleaning staff in adjacent rooms could be heard through the door. As for amenities, the room fulfilled the standards of supplying a coffee machine, mini fridge and TV. There was also free WiFi for all the guests even though I never bothered to use it.

We stayed at this hotel when visiting Whistler for our wedding anniversary last weekend. The location is great, very close to everything and the room was nice but we were pretty disappointed with them when my husband called and asked for them to do something nice in the room to surprise me for our anniversary, they weren’t very friendly and didn’t do anything. Also the beds were not very comfortable, especially the bedding.

1. Definitely value for the money you pay. 2. It felt really warm(as in the environment, not the temperature) inside the hotel. 3. Rooms were immaculate and cozy. Not the most luxurious but just right! I had to extend my stay and without a wink, I chose this hotel again. 4. Free bicycles and motion cameras available at the desk. 5. Walkable to the Whistler Gondola Ride Base. 6. Walkable to many restaurants. 7. Parking fee is nominal: $ 20/day. Although the checkout time is 11:00 am, you can still park your car for the whole day. This is y super useful since you can checkout, ride the gondolas, spend the day in the mountains and come back, take your car and leave. 8. There is a gym, Jacuzzi and swimming pool. Not sure about sauna. 9. Internet is complimentary and super fast. 10. Helpful staff. 11. Overall, extremely family friendly. Will SURELYCOMEBACK!

Aava is a great, affordable option to stay in Whistler. The rooms are really quite small which made it a challenge to lay out damp ski gear to dry for four people but they were clean and updated and the beds were comfortable. There are ski lockers available right near the entrance and the walk to the lifts is short and convenient. You are in a good location to easily get to other restaurants in the village as well. The hot tub isn’t huge and seemed to get quite busy. Definitely a good hotel option for the quality and price

We usually are very good about choosing places to give descent reviews, but every once in awhile we make bad choices. I have the following thing to mention that puts the Aava Hotel in the wrong choice category. The good things about the Aava is the location of being a block from the village center and also the breakfast buffet the hotel offers for $ 18 dollars. Now the things that made this a 2 star hotel– The hotel is pretty run down with older furniture and thin walls. Also, the housekeeping department need to work faster and efficient. The rooms are dusty and we’ll maintained. Some of the mentioned things can be corrected but probably will not stay there if in the whistler area again.

Hotel rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, the staff at the front desk were nice, and the village is right across the road. The walls are paper thin, you can hear people next to you, and hear everyone that walks past your door! I personally think this place is a little over priced for what it has to offer.
