I like this Rexall in the Marketplace Shopping Centre. It’s pretty basic, but sometimes paper products and cleaning supplies are cheaper than the IGA. The people working in the store are friendly. Once, I forgot an OTC medication from the U.S. that I take for nausea(I get migraines on occasion) and the pharmacist had said that, although it was not commercially available in Canada, she had some compounded for people like me. That seemed like excellent service, going above what was required, and I really appreciated it! Additionally, about a year ago they stopped selling a flavour of an OTC medication I take sometimes. It’s the only flavour of this stuff I can stand, but since they did not carry it at the other Rexall or Shoppers, I thought I was out of luck. It did not look like they were out of stock because the sign underneath it with the description and price was gone. So I asked the 20 something guy at the register if he could request they get some more of the other flavour. He said«Sure.» I still thought I was out of luck, because usually the stores don’t really care what what I like, they make decisions based on corporate, or the supplier, or the sales figures or shelf space. My feeling is I was not have been the only one to say something, but they got it back in and they still carry it. I think this Rexall is really good about listening to customer feedback, which is one great thing both about this store and living in a smaller community.
