Stopped in here for dinner. This restaurant is very nice, great décor and atmosphere. Dinner was good; I had the Caesar salad and the catch of the day: red snapper on white bean and chorizo ragu. My husband had the pork tenderloin which was to die for. If I were to recommend anything, get the pork tenderloin! The only downside to this place is they have one of the worst credit card exchange rates($USD) in town. Most places give you 17.5 pesos or 18 pesos to 1USD; they gave us 16.46 pesos to 1USD; which matters when you are charged $ 225USD instead of $ 200USD. If you do use a credit card, have them charge you in pesos not dollars– your credit card company will probably give you a better rate!

I cannot tell you how much I love this place. It is like I stepped into a cool little joint in downtown LA. The bar, with photographs of scantily clad fashion model illuminated with dozens of ornate tin lanterns welcome you to the bar scene. Have a fabulous margarita or a carefully crafted cocktail. The dining room is outside under the stars. On the night that we were there, there was a DJ playing acid jazz with a singer adding her touch to the perfectly relaxing melodies. The food? To die for. Huge portions, great eclectic menu. As if all of that wasn’t enough… the owner came over and personally introduced himself to us and presented us with a small box of homemade chocolates. Really? Who does this anymore. Simply the best. I have sent many people a million times over. TIP…Go in mid-morning and get yourself a latte, steak benedict, and Bloody Caesar cocktail.

Had one of the best pizzas of my life tonight at Bar Esquina. Mushroom with Truffle Oil… OMG, it was delicious, and a hearty 6 piece pie(yay, leftovers!). Cocktails were reasonably pric d and delicious as well.

This place was terrific. The ambiance, the freshness of the food and the overall variety was great as we were looking for something a bit different. It did not disappoint… crème Brule was awesome desert too! Close to Mango deck, office, and ediths and this is more gourmet.

This place is absolutely incredible in every way. The restaurant has delicious food, upscale ambiance, and believe it or not, realistic pricing, unlike everything down by the beach. This place has a classiness that’s great for families, honeymooners, bachelor/bachelorette parties. Take advantage of the opportunity to order pizza & sushi at the same time. We ordered the pesto mushroom pizza along with the avocado crab roll, which were off-the-chain delicious. There’s also a great wine list, delicious coffee. And if you’re coming from a place like San Francisco, Paris, or New York, you’re going to feel right at home with this restaurant’s epicurean offerings.

Wonderful ambience, friendly service, great live band, and fair prices. Bread and several different butters were amazing — curry, regular, and pesto. Started with the lump crab cake — delicious. Had the fresh grilled Marlin with white bean chorizo ragout. Wonderful place!

I ordered a martini, and, even though there was a language barrier, the bartender understood me, and made my drink perfectly. In fact, I believe this was the best martini I have had in several months! The price was comparable to what you would expect to pay in the States, but the ambience was beyond compare. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone wanting a taste of home even though far, far away.

Stumbled across this place on our first day in Cabo. We got the brisket pizza and the pear salad with chicken. Food was decent — overall good flavor. We found a fly in our pizza that had been cooked in, unfortunately. The staff was great and took it off our bill, as well as offered to make another one. I don’t fault them for this, but it was an unfortunate part of the experience. We got a smoothie as well and it was very watery and too much ice — really lacked flavor. First waitress was not super friendly and seemed annoyed to wait on us. Rest of the staff was nice. I would say you could skip this one.

Are you in Cabo looking for a spot that makes you feel like you’re back in LA? This is it! Great Bartenders, awesome food(not Mexican) and just a cool, sleek, sexy vibe! I come here for coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch, and even dinner at times because it’s just that solid of a place! xoxo

While going through the streets of downtown Cabo, the boyfriend and I stumbled into this place and we just saw how beautiful it was from the outside and decided this was going to be our last night dinner as our date-night. It’s literally located in a corner, hence the name, Bar Esquina. As soon as you step in you are greeted by a host, she asked us if we had a reservation and what hotel we were staying at. We told her no we didn’t and what hotel we we’re staying at and she directed us to our seats anyway. Within minutes we received our menus and a basket of various warm breads and 3 different types of butter(coconut, regular and seasoned), I read in a previous review to get the vampire cocktail and what a great choice, it consisted of citron, lime juice, honey agave, blackberries, raspberries and a hint of chili which you tasted in the end. The boyfriend had a taste of mine after he drank his martini and loved it so much he got himself one. For an entrée I got the roasted chicken that came with white bean purée and samosa but to my surprise the samosa looked more as a naan. I thought that the chicken was a bit too dry but with the overall great experience, great company, live band and my last night in Los Cabos, it didn’t really matter that it was dry. I asked the host where the bathroom was and she joined me to direct me where it was located, it made me feel as if I was in a 5-star restaurant and that’s when I noticed that it was within a hotel, which explains why she asked us in the beginning which hotel we were staying at. Bar Esquina was a great ending to our vacation in Mexico, I wish we would’ve stumbled into it sooner to try their breakfast. I would definitely come here again if I ever come to Los Cabos again. I loved their live band, those guys were singing their hearts out and we just couldn’t get enough of how they made us feel as if were at a park in Barcelona, Spain.

Just happened to run into this place and it looked nice so decided to stop in. Best decision we made since deciding to go to Los Cabos Mexico! This place was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation with my lady. It was dim lit, which was romantic and live music which was simply stellar definitely my kind of place. Of all the places we saw in Mexico if I tell people one place to go it would be here if it was that kind of trip. Again the live music was so clutch, my words can’t do it justice but it simply felt like we were in Spain, not Mexico! the dude singing was crazy talented along with two other guys playing their instruments all that was missing was a woman in long dress dancing flamenco! Drinks review: I got the Blue Berry Lemonade Martini, it was great and refreshing, fruity yet not too sweet. I had a taste of my girls Vampire cocktail and it blew my mind, I had to get myself one. You can taste each individual ingredient, sweet, tangy and a spice chili in the end. Now for the food review: first they brought out hot bread with 3 yes 3 difference spreads. I’ve been to countless amount of restaurants and this is the first time a restaurant gives you complimentary bread(which were 3 different breads) with more than 1 much less 3 spreads and they were all amazing, I can barely remember because I was lost in the ambiance of the restaurant :). My dish was spiced grilled shrimp with Lime Risotto, I’m not even a fan of Risotto but since I was in Mexico I had to try it and I loved it, the shrimps were nice and crispy even though I struggled taking the tails off, for such a nice place I would think they should detail those shrimps but still excellent dish. My girl got the chicken entrée, she loved everything about it but she mentioned it was a bit dry. It was a perfect ending to our vacation and if we ever come back to Cabo, we will definitely come back to Bar Esquina.

My husband and I decided to stop in here on our last night at Casa Dorada, since it looked like this place had good reviews and the menu looked somewhat«foodie»(which we appreciated, since not many places are in Cabo). We decided then and there that we would be back every single time. Despite being«off-season»(we went late August during their hot/summer season, so hotels were under capacity… almost empty) the restaurant was PACKED… which we just had not seen at any other restaurant all week. This place was«happening» — that’s for sure. Bar Esquina has a trendy vibe — think, a vacation spin on a trendy NYC, LA, or SF bar/restaurant. The atmosphere was great — dimly lit with fun string lighting, live music(live band was playing top hits — both those newly popular and classics), very attentive/friendly wait staff. Our waiter in particular was great — despite being very, very busy(he was running all over the place), he was never rushed and gave us his undivided attention at all times. He also checked in at various times to check on how we were doing — we never felt like he was«hovering» but also never felt like he had abandoned us. Very, very pleased with the atmosphere and overall dining experience. The food — well the food is where they really stand out. We tried a number of different items on their menu; all were fantastic, right down to the free bread basket with herb flavored butters(say what?! SO good!!). Our most memorable dish was the scallops. They were cooked to PERFECTION. Seared to a crisp on the outside, but just BARELY cooked through the inside(in fact, they almost jiggled like jello when you went to move the plate or pick one up with your utensil). THEYWEREAMAZING!!! Can’t wait to go back to this restaurant. I hope it lives up to our first experience. Such a job well done!!!

I’ve come here several times now and I love their breakfast. Their breakfast is geared more towards Americanized and healthy as they offer everything organic. The pricing is American pricing and no way in anyway Mexican pricing aka it’s expensive to eat here! I’ve gotten the steak Benedict, gringo breakfast(2 eggs and bacon) and their breakfast burrito and tasted the huevos rancheros. All very good! Their eggs are really flavorful and not at all bland. Their breakfast burrito came with this sauce and it was so good. One complaint was you pay a high price for a small portion, I was still a bit hungry after eating my breakfast… Not sure if portions got smaller or if I got fatter… Service is spotty, they do try their hardest to please though in the hot heat. They literally sweat trying to please you. Tip them please, they do work hard and make minimal, a buck or two goes a long way.

Not a bad spot to enjoy some craft cocktails, strong iced coffee and wifi. This place serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, yet we only had breakfast. It was delicious both days! Banana blueberry pancakes — I never eat pancakes and since I was on vacation, why the hell not? They were pretty damn good with whipped butter and thick maple syrup. Huevos rancheros — My favorite dish! It came with two fried eggs, over black beans, a special sauce lol, white cheese, and avocado over two flour tortillas. Man, it had some really strong flavors, especially for a breakfast dish. Damn good. I highly recommend this dish. House toast with pineapple jam — nice starter *Bloody Mary! Sooooo good here. It’s nice and sour, yet super spicy and garnished with cilantro, lime, cucumber and olives. Damn good! We got the 2 for 1 deal at the pool everyday haha.

Had no idea that the hotel we were staying at has THE happening fancy white person bar. People were coming from other hotels just to have a drink and eat at this place. I thought the food was fine. Needed a break from Mexican Food so had a pizza and it was like a good version of a hotel pizza. the other food was very creative. Ceasar salad came with an egg on top inside some type of bread crisp bowl. Lobster noodles, albeit expensive, were rich and full of flavor. Burger I had at the pool one day was above average as well. Cooked perfectly. Definitely would not eat here unless I was staying here. Might come for a pre dinner drink and enjoy the live music.
