We stopped in here after a day of shopping in the hot sun. We were looking for four main things, food, cold drinks, air conditioned spot and most importantly free WI-FI. LOL This restaurant was successful of all the above. It wasn’t crowded and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. My mango daiquiri was the best I’ve had while in Mexico. I ordered the extra burrito that came with beans and it was delicious. It was just enough that I didn’t get too full and feel stuffed. My friend also enjoyed her food. The ambience of the café was a bit unique with it’s array of doll statues. The staff were cool and allowed us to lounge and charge our phones. The one thing I didn’t enjoy was the non stop solicitors of locals trying to sell their trinkets while you eat, adults and children. I don’t mind supporting others but don’t mess with hungry folk trying to eat. Lol Overall, this was a cool spot that I would definitely check out again.

Came in here a few days ago, and I can’t wait to go back next trip. The Sea Bass tacos were outstanding, they melted in my mouth, best tacos I had while in Cabo! The skinny margarita was also the best margarita I had while in Cabo, all fresh squeezed oranges and limes and top shelf tequila! The bartender was awesome, very friendly, great customer service, and very knowledgeable about fishing season and other great local places. The décor here is pretty cool. I love the granite bar tops. See you in November!

I stopped by this restaurant for lunch once while in Cabo San Lucas. The restaurant itself was interesting to look at but my friend and I were attracted to the fact that they had free wifi LOL. Once we were able to connect to their wifi we ordered drinks. I ordered a pina coloda while my friend chose to have a mango margarita or dacquiri. My drink was good and not too strong for me. The service was just OK because we had to ask to be assisted several times but we were the only people in the place eating. There was one other table but they seemed to be finishing up. For my entrée I had the fish tacos while my friend had their burrito special. My friend said she enjoyed her food but my food was just OK. I love fish tacos but these were pretty bland — well like most food in the Cabo area. I had salsa and other condiments on the side to use but they did little to add taste or flavor. But the bill was not costly so I couldn’t complain much. I did venture to the upstairs area were there is a male and a female bathroom. The guys bathroom only had the stand up stalls so the women bathroom was occupied by a guy for a while unfortunately. I would return to this restaurant if I’m ever in the area again because the décor was very interesting but I wouldn’t get the tacos again.

The food in Cabo, in general, leaves a lot to be desired. Namely, fruit, vegetables, and creativity. Most restaurants in the tourist areas charge more than what you would pay at home for lower quality. Canela was a delightful departure from this. The food was good and the service was EXCELLENT. This place has a great breakfast; it has fruit and vegetables and you can actually get a healthy meal here. It has the typical fare you would expect if you are Californian. If I were to go back to Cabo — which I hope to god never happens — I would eat at this restaurant for every meal. Canela would probably be a 3.5 at home, but in Cabo it is unlike anything else.

We arrived during Christmas week with a party of nine. Because if this we didn’t always eat together. Part of our group found this nice place one evening and we were out walking and they called us through the large open window. We joined them for an appetizer. It was wonderful. The service was just as good as the food, because of this we all had Christmas dinner there. They served all of us at the same time which was amazing since there were nine of us and we all ordered something different. The food was wonderful especially the«Arrachera»(steak) and the drinks were spot on. I just about fell over when the bill arrived, only $ 135.00 for the entire party(not including tip) for nine meals, two appetizers and drinks for the entire party. The décor is just as awesome as the food. Family left after first week, and the two of us have been back a couple times including for breakfast. Can’t say enough about this place and the staff!

Love this place. Our server Ricardo recommended all the best from each course. Really awesome tortilla soup, catch of the day yellowfin tuna with capers, lemon, ginger(omg) with sage mashed potatoes. Even the mixed veggies were amazing. The place was pretty quiet for a Saturday night, probably because the tables are a bit hidden from the main street. It suited us for a fun(not wild) dinner. Yay, will be back

Café Canela was the nicest restaurant we went to during our trip to Cabo. The restaurant has two floors, but they only had the bottom floor opened during dinner! They also had a bar here and they do make pretty good and strong cocktails! I ordered the strawberry margarita, thinking I’ll enjoy dinner and drink more later, but they made it super strong! For my entrée I ordered the Catch of the Day Veracruz style which was seabass. Instead of rice I had mashed potatoes…(I would’ve preferred rice, but they didn’t have any left I guess). Anyway the food was good, but it didn’t really fill me up. I was hungry an hour later and we ended up getting some street tacos after bar hopping. This place is still worth checking out since they are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I can imagine the nice view upstairs during the day!
