Mi esposo y yo cenamos rico, no gastamos mucho…

So much fun! Great food, big portions, fun drinks and actual«live» music that isn’t annoying(no strolling Mariachi bands)! Volcano bowls are super tasty and fun! Great for a group, fast and friendly service and at a price that you can’t beat. Do yourself a favor — don’t miss it.

Great food and great prices — had the beef salsa plate with some smoky chipotle that I loved. I had the NOQUENO for 15 $

A fun and enjoyable experience. It seems a little too touristy but the volcano bowel was good. The fried cheese was good but too much for two. A little off the beat and path but parking was not hard to find. Enjoyed the one in Cabo a little more. Everyone should try this place at least once.

If they look busy, just walk away and find another place. Went here last night for dinner. I know it was New Year’s Day and it was a busy evening for them but that is still no excuse for the waiter to never come back and check on us. Finally had to go find him after waiting for 45min and one of our parties orders never arriving. After I found him and told both him and the«captain» the waiter still had the audacity to bring the food over to a table next to us that had only been sitting and waiting for 20min compared to our 1hour at this point. Horrible service and the food was really not that great.

Simply the best Mexican food we Have ever had. Not your typical«American Mexican» food… This is fresh and real! Great pork tacos, bean soup, quesadillas and more. Great for families.

Great off the beaten path location. There is another Las Guacamayas in Cabo San Lucas. Try the Stone Bowls, they are delicious and come in a great presentation!

Sorry, I hate giving 2 star reviews, but this place was just not that good. It also had more flies than I could count, they were constantly landing on everything on my table. There were seriously about 16 flies dedicated to my table alone. Yuck. The meat was also a little fatty and gristly on some of my pork and beef tacos. I prefered Tacos Guss to this place and it was cheaper. I would not return to Las Guacamayas, but maybe I caught it on an off day. I also preferred the toppings that were offered at Guss. The one thing that was nice here was that they included chips and salsa, that is not included at many other casual tacos shops. The guac wasn’t bad and is also included.

This is the place. Albeit its away from the water, away from any views and so on. However, the proprietors & staff have created a great local atmosphere to enjoy a great meal with friends. Excellent service & excellent menu offerings. This visit opted for an awesome plate of very delicious fajitas. It was preceded by their famous fried cheese which is good and popular. The accompanying condiments of peppers, onions and salsas all contributed well and are delicious.

The last time I was here they didn’t serve alcohol. That’s OK because I brought some on my purse and had pre-gamed. This is not in your typical tourist zone. But that makes it so much better. The Al Pastor tacos I had were to DIE for. They are known for their guac and their hot stone dishes but you cannot go wrong with anything you order here. Prices are incredibly reasonable and the staff is gracious and food is fresh. Watch out for flying tortillas thrown by drunk people who smuggled in their own booze. ***cringe***

Considering we ate here 3 times during our 7 day visit should say a lot! The atmosphere is awesome. Great food and service! I tried the al pastor and asada tacos, the shredded chicken quesadilla and the suadero plate(comes with rice, guacamole and bean soup) delicious. The horchata is fresh and perfect! We went for fathers day so My husband received a free taco and corona… margaritas are huge. And The meat is cooked to perfection. Honestly. They have 2 locations we were closer to the one in san jose los cabos.

Just got home from our trip to Los Cabos and this was an awesome dinner spot. The El Pastor tacos were amazing. We shared a stone bowl, which was nothing short of amazing. It was a perfect dinner spot for my boyfriend and I to take a break from hotel food. So yummy and very cute authentic ambiance.

I’m giving 5 stars for the atmosphere(gorgeous palapa), serious contender Margarita’s and pastor tacos. Pastor Tacos involve cuts off a rotating, basted meat that has a pineapple high on top. The server chops at the bits of pineapple and they expertly land on a plate far below. Fun! Mad meat & fruit skillz! I had a hot stone dish one day and enjoyed the authentic cheese and cactus flavours. The portions are substantial! I wish there was food of this quality for this price at home.

Might be the best Mexican ever. There have been so many reviews of this joint, I will just give an overview of what we love. Guac– epic Quesadillas– perfect but small Al Pastor– Delish Potato bowls– to quote a 13 year old«da bomb» Service is great, we had Alberto tonight and he is just great. Just go and then thank all the Unilocalers that got us all here! Wonderful spot!!!

I found Las Guacamayas though another travel review site, it was very well reviewed and close to my hotel. I walked here on a weeknight, I really enjoyed walking around my local neighborhood in San José Del Cabo, this was a fun destination. This place is on an unassuming side street, look closely, it’s easy to to miss. This place is open air, has a… rough exterior, and tree shaded interior. I didn’t see the whole place, just inside the entrance. I sat under a tree within sight of the kitchen… and the street. I was greeted and held up 1 finger, just one for dinner. Within 2 minutes I was given a soft taco«Al Pastor»(meat carved from a spit). It was a corn tortilla with beef thinly carved finished with minced onion and some lime, it was really good. even though I didn’t order it(I did pay for it though…). I had read the Stone Pot was the dish to order, so I did. Along with a margarita. It was the best margarita I had during my 12 days in Mexico, large and good tasting. The stone pot is a… mortar-like(mortar and pestle) three legged stone pot, heated to super hot temperature before being filled with fajitas. The pot was draped with steak, green peppers, green onions, and avocado. There was a tomato sauce and some«queso» cheese in the pot. The pot was so hot, the ingredients just cooked and cooked and cooked. The fajitas was really good, the steak was fantastic, the peppers and onions, with the cheese and avocado in a corn tortilla were very good. So good, I probably should have brought someone else, I couldn’t get through the single stone pot fast enough! By the time I was getting full the tomato and queso were almost gone, vaporized in the heat. The food was great, fresh, well-prepared, and tasty. The service was okay, not really great but not terrible. Things got busy while I was there, the busier it got, the less attention I got(no surprise). I loved the rustic nature of this place. I didn’t really love the electrician’s doing work in the outdoor 2nd floor deck throughout my entire meal. Two days later I ended up with«traveler’s diarrhea» but I am not sure if I got it here… could have, from the ice in the margarita. Eating at any local place is risky. I wanted the authentic experience and had it here. But there are risks, be careful!

Came here because my friend recommended the place and raaaaved about their stone dish. As my bf and I were staying in San Jose del Cabo we decided to stop by to try. We both shared a stone bowl(had half rib steak and half flank steak), one black mushroom corn quesadilla and one chicharron quesadilla. The stone bowl was pretty tasty. Came with flour or corn tortillas(we asked for half half and liked the flour version more). The crispy melted cheese with onions, cactus and meat. All very good. I personally liked the flank steak more as the rib steak was a bit tough. If I did it again, I’d probably try different meats. I think my friend recommended their version of adobada which is marinated pork. Couldn’t really taste the mushroom in the black mushroom corn quesadilla. Could have passed on this. The chicharron quesadilla was out of this world! Best chicharron I’ve ever had. Crispy and tender. Yum. Might have to return here before we leave for more chicharron.

Difficult place to find as it’s not ON the main road, but just a bit off. I had some trouble finding it, and then with updated directions, until I was able to find the«landmark» of the BanNorte on Pescadero. Anyway, it was worth the wait! Cheap(er) drinks, great chips and a variety of salsas from mild to wild, and a platter of cucumber, jalapeño, and grilled green onions. Guacamole is very tasty, and the tacos that came after it were just amazing. Asada, pastor, and lengua were all good. The molcajete was also good, but I’ll stick to tacos the next time I’m around. Wrapping things up are the STIFF drinks, don’t have too many! If you are in the area and want a good, quick, affordable lunch, this is definitely the place.
