Mayafair Design Hotel

No late check out despite no following guest, poor noise barrier between room and common area (other guests partying audibly till 3:30+), and when we checked in with a reservation at 2 AM exhausted, had to wait 15 minutes for the front desk staff to return (there was no note that she had stepped out we were just left hoping someone would come and eventually a security guard saw us and went off to fetch her)…
All that said, the décor is kinda cute and it’s conveniently located with cabs out front (who were actually the first cabs to not try to rip us off btw). I left the above review when I was mistaken about the price (thought it had been $ 350, someone else paid), for $ 70 (the actual price), I’d definitely stay there again, I actually didn’t think the showers were that dirty like someone else complained about.
Rooms are unique in that there are no doors inside the room. It is actually a pretty cool setup I thought but to be fair you don’t get too much bathroom/​shower privacy. For my wife and I this didn’t matter but for others it might.

Still here, unfortunately. Looking for another place. I will take some responsibility for choosing a cheaply priced room, but seriously… there is poop in the shower! The concierge was very nonchalant about it asking, «do you want us to clean»! This was our second room the first had the toilet in view of the bed. Which could be ok if you’re staying solo or maybe for an intimate couple, however I’m here with a platonic friend. Uh, no thank you. We were moved to one of the «nicer rooms» and… There was a distinct smell as mentioned in some other reviews… because there is sh, uh, poop in the shower. All four corners! They obviously don’t clean between guests. Or ever. One star is too many.

Pésimo lugar, esta casi abandonado, los baños públicos sucios y sin papel. En las habitaciones el baño sin puertas y solo una cortina, nos encontramos envolturas de condones, le falta mantenimiento en todos los aspectos.
