Terrible food and service. The owner tried to take a picture of us and later sell it(don’t fall for this trick). They also add on 40% tip automatically on the bill. I’d rather starve than eat here

Food was horrible, service was slow, waitress asked 3 times to tip before we were even told what the total was, we never got a physical copy of the bill, she also reminded us about the tip as we were getting the cash out to pay. *This place only accepts Peso’s, unless you are willing to pay with dollars and their ridiculous exchange rate. Unless you are desperate and there is no food to eat in the area, still avoid this place, you will probably have a better time starving than eating here. Avoid at all costs!

We took beef fajitas which good and juicy. The owner took our picture to post in his website. But little later he came to sell it for a price. that was weird. Overall nice and friendly atmosphere and waiters are very courteous.

Food was ok which is why I gave it 2 stars. There was a guy outside promising free tequila shots with food. Went in and got our shots and then were told we had to pay for them. Now im not looking for a handout but Im sick and tired of these tourist traps where they steal from you and lie to you because your white and think you have money. Im a server and I work really hard for my money and refuse to get punked in Cancun anymore. I went to a manager told them to stop hiring liars and thieves. He gave us our free shots bc he said obviously we needed them. Poor morals and poor service. Dont go to this place and support actions like this.

Very dirty place. The food wasn’t authentic. Went to the restroom and there wasn’t NOWATER or SOAP! I wonder if the cooks wash their hands after using the restroom!!! It was nasty. I got sick to my stomach.

Pretty good. Meat is decent, not much fat so that’s good. Green salsa is the one, guacamole type. Been here a few times, doesn’t change, so they are consistent.

We were recommended here so many times but to be honest, tacos were just meh. The green salsa was Awesome though(free with chips) and damn! HOT!!! Burnin’ and I have an extremely high tolerance. To be honest, you could just go next to the small little stand nearby(near one that says car rental) 17pesos for 1 and it’s wayyyy better! Don’t think I’ll be dying to come back to here though. Sad but it is what it is.

Visited during a business trip while looking for a late night snack. This place is a little off the beaten path which is awesome and down an alley way. Has open seating outside on plastic patio furniture which gives you a feel of being local in a very touristy spot. Ordered some salsa and chips and tacos… the perfect late night snack. You can see the grill right in the middle of the joint and can watch the staff cook over an open flame. Staff was friendly and helped to navigate the beer and hot sauce menus. While I just went for the tacos they do feature a fairly extensive menu. While it might not be the best Mexican food you will ever have… the food hits the spot late at nigh. Do u dear say the White Castle of Cancun!!! Cheers! John

Very delicious salsas, tacos, and burritos. The only thing I disliked was that they were a little pushy on getting you in to the restaurant, trying to sway people with samples on the street. Otherwise, 4⁄5 stars. I would go back and I do recommend it.

Do not come here. They do not have any mexican drinks, food is tasteless and a very shady place. Do not waste your time and money. Its an awful place. Not worth it at all.

The food was pretty good! We had nachos and a burrito for my boyfriend and I to share. All was well until we got back to the hotel with severe food poisoning. None of it stayed in our systems for very long and it was the only thing we ate that night, so it was definitely their food. I’ll probably never return to this restaurant, eaters beware!

Tacos were good and fresh in the middle of the shops drinks were strong. Staff was friendly. Sit on other side of restaurant music is loud from taco shop right across.

I was walling down the street in hotel zone and one of their waiters talks me up to give them a try. My god the chicken fajitas were amazing as well as the plain cheese quesadilla. It definitely be at out anything I’ve had in northern and southern California including famed taco trucks in oakland. Now the downside is the loud music from across the street. It is really annoying to hear American pop at club levels when you are trying to get away. I was eating to miley cyrus wrecking ball… sigh. But the food quality and taste is worth it. 4⁄5 stars. Going again for sure.

After a very fun, but very long day aboard a yacht sailing between Cancun and Isla Mujeres, my group of 10 sunburned, hungry vacationers descended on Taco Factory with abandon. One of our friends had been regaling us with tales of how good it was since we’d arrived in Cancun, and that night, when we were ready for something more low-key, we headed there. Taco Factory is located down a little side street in the middle of the clubbing district in Cancun, near Coco Bongo, Mandala Nightclub, etc. It’s completely nondescript, and you don’t even see it until you’re right in front of it, but suddenly Taco Factory’s right there: tables right on the side of the street, with more seating up in the restaurant. And it looks like every other taco place in Cancun. For our big group we were seated on the street, which was fine except the taco place almost directly across the street was blaring the loudest music all during our dinner. That was annoying except for the homeless man who then wandered past our restaurant and started dancing to the music playing on the outdoor speakers. That was actually pretty funny and he was quite talented. But I digress. As soon as we sat down at Taco Factory, a round of free margaritas appeared for all of us. And this is the funniest part, those margaritas, were the best ones we had during our whole stay in Cancun. They actually had a decent amount of tequila in them and not just lots of sweet and sour mix. So once we were properly hydrated, we set down to the business of ordering. Taco Factory has what seems like almost 100 different varieties of tacos to order from and between 2 — 3 tacos should satisfy most people along with the free chips and salsa brought out before the meal. My boyfriend and I decided to each order different tacos so we could try a bunch of different ones. I got the pastor(pork) taco with cheese and a steak taco and he ordered a chicken taco with cheese and a steak taco with cheese. Everyone around us ordered some variation of the same. When the tacos came out, they looked delicious. As we dug in, I quickly discovered the pork taco was definitely the best of the bunch, but all the tacos I tried were very good. When the bill came at the end, we were all presently surprised at how low it was — especially compared to the hotel /tourist prices of everywhere around Cancun. So even though this place was a hole in the wall, it really did have some of the best tacos we had while in Cancun and at a very reasonable price to boot. Nice job, Taco Factory — just get rid of the music across the way so we can enjoy our meal and hear each other speak.
