Great service, good food, and tasty drinks. The atmosphere is nice and the location is convenient. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the best, but it ain’t bad. Plus, the price isn’t too bad, pretty reasonable I think.

Hooray for the fruit and alcohol! During a late night stroll and headed to a club, we stumbled upon Marinero’s. The atmosphere was festive, and I really needed a classic margarita. I ordered a large mango blended margarita. I watched the server make the margarita and noticed he included fresh mango, Jose Cuervo, and Triple sec. This margarita was very good, and the texture was bordering on whipped. It was not too sweet or sour… it was just right. This drink really got the party started. The only negative was the price, but I would go back for another.

I had the fishermans platter and it was very delicous and filling. My boyfriend got the seafood farfelle and his octopus was so tender. I highly recommend this to seafood lovers. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only bad thing is my clam tasted a little funny but the rest of the seafood was fresh. Thats why we gave it a 3 star instead of 4.

It was late at night yesterday and we were starving, wile walking by Marineros, the smell called us! And we answered!!! This places mixes great flavor with awsome service. We believed that The evening couldn’t get much better until we order the MARGARITA and then magic happened! The food, the weather, the music and the salt from the ocean breeze made Marineros the place to be in Cancun! I have great pictures from the place and better memories!!!

Got the seafood/lobster pasta and it was amazing. The seafood sampler was really good too. I was kind of surprised that more people weren’t at the restaurant(it was practically empty). For two dishes I paid a total of 30 dollars(with a coupon). The service was nice. This is your place if you want a good seafood restaurant.

Ate here one night as I had a 20% off coupon from the sister restaurant Mextreme. Service was great as hotel zone restaurants tend to be. however, I would definitely say that service was not as exceptional as it was at Mextreme. The outdoor seating was nice but the restaurant was very quiet and not lively at all. Standard chips and salsa were free. I ordered the seafood taco party and thought it was O-K. The octopus was soaked in butter to the point where all I could appreciate was butter. However, the presentation of said taco party was quite festive. Total price– $ 15. But definitely could be shared between two people.

A lot of Mexican restaurants have people who promote them 24⁄7 none stop and this is why you should always Unilocal before u go to a restaurant in Mexico. I did search this restaurant after we got seated but I thought maybe we would get lucky. My friend’s calamari tasted weirdly sour, and the octopus garlic(costed me $ 200 pesos) came with four little pieces of octopus and a little bowl of rice, and some lonely vegetables(they came in so little that they couldn’t be counted), and the octopus was not fresh… I wish people would read my review– don’t make the mistake that I did. the service is slow but nice. Btw. They automatically add 15% tip on your bill. DONOTCOME

We were looking for a lunch place and Marinero’s looked inviting. The results were uneven. Positives– the service, smoked swordfish burrito and food presentation were great. Negatives– the coconut shrimp tasted off, but they removed it from our bill without us asking. We will probably try this restaurant again before we leave.

The wait staff was good and funny. But the food was terrible. The seafood was old and we stopped eating it because of the taste. We were both sick the next day. The margaritas are very weak. 80 U.S. dollars, yeah we were robbed.

I’d just had a couple of Mescals at Casa Tequila and Marinero’s was right across the road, so before I actually passed out in a gutter I decided I should eat something. Grabbed a table inside(they also have outdoor seating, but I was in the mood for air conditioned comfort) and ordered a coconut martini(70 pesos) and the Fisherman’s Plate(269 pesos). The coconut martini was nice — cool and refreshing. Tasted like it was made with coconut cream, not milk. Not sure how much alcohol was in it, but it didn’t taste that strong. They bought out a cone of corn chips first with three different dips — mild(green tomato), medium(red chilli) and hot(habenero). The Fisherman’s Plate was generous; eight prawns, the same number of mussels, two grouper fillets, four calamari rings, and a huge clam served in its shell with garlic sauce and fried onions. Plus some grilled peppers and zucchini on the side. Everything tasted good. Then I started experimenting with the left over dips. The grouper with the habenero was delicious — although extremely hot, this sauce really took the fish to another level. Excellent pairing. The red chilli and prawn were a good combo, and the mussels seemed to work with everything, but I think the green tomato best. The only thing I couldn’t find a home for was the calamari rings, so I just left them. Marinero’s walks the line between tourist trap and good food, but as far as I’m concerned doesn’t actually cross it. Prices are reasonable for what you get(my bill came to 479 pesos, which included three martinis) and the service is fast and friendly. Also, a 10% discount voucher for their sister restaurant, Mextremes, which is right next door came with the check. Nothing fancy or out of the box, just good, solid seafood. And who doesn’t love that? The only thing I’d mark them down on, is they add a 15% service charge which lifted the bill to 550 pesos. I probably would have tipped that anyway, but I’d like to make that decision myself.
