First place we stopped at for our Cancun trip. Service from Tania was exceptional she made us feel so special. We were stressed from a full day of travel and this place was exactly what we needed. Definitely will be back during our vacation!

Great ambiance and ok food. The beer came in metal jugs right from freezer still with ice around them — rather cool, but overpriced for tap beer. Not what we were expecting. Did not like our server as he insisted on the full 15% tip for a less that average service. Heard same thing happened to another couple at our hotel, what a tourist gimmick. CAUTION when paying your bill!

We came here just for drinks, but had some unique ones. We first ordered a Jaguar from the unusually solid listing of regional craft beers, plus a mezcal tamarind margarita. This margarita had the perfect mix of smoky and sweet, with a great chili salt lining the rim. Last we shared the Casa Tequila Margarita, which was a mix of juices. It was good, but not worth going back for like the first. I think they were a little surprised we had come just to drink, because they accidentally brought us chips and salsa, then took it back. However, we sat in a lovely courtyard by the fountain listening to their mariachi trio, so it overall was a pleasant experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant on New Year’s Eve! Very tasty and the portions were perfect. Not too large at all. Ambiance & outdoor patio seating was great. Margaritas were fantastic! Tortilla soup was so fresh. They brought it out and they poured the soup on top of cheese, sour cream, garnishes and tortilla strips. Live music too and service was excellent! For a family of 4, we spent $ 82US which included 2 drinks. For NYE that was a deal! Plus, it didn’t feel like a loud bar/restaurant especially when many restaurants in the area had that bar like atmosphere. A «nicer» restaurant with a flair of authenticity in the menu!

Just happened to see this place while walking and was short on time so decided to try it out. Pretty decent place with reasonable prices. We tried the flank steak and chicken chimichanga. Both came with guac and the flank steak also came with refried beans. The flank steak was really good and flavorful. They gave A1 steak sauce to accompany the steak but it didn’t need it at all. The chimichanga was nothing special, it actually reminded us of something we have back home that we don’t really like to eat so that kinda made it a little off putting but it tasted better once you mix it with the guac.

I’ll give five stars for the food, price and Saul our server on our first visit. Then I gotta subtract three stars maybe even more for the horrendous service by the server and management on our next visit. 45 minutes went by and when I asked where our food was the server ignored us. After finally getting our food the manager comes over and gives us a tiny plate of guac for our wait. Really? I get that we are in Mexico but customer service is universal. We are never coming back. Learn some customer service.

They have free wifi and the creamiest, most delicious piña colada I’ve ever had! The servers were very attentive, but we did go during the odd hour between lunch and dinner. There were only two other tables. We got the guac and fajitas — both were very delicious, but I probably could have gone without the guac. Overall a very pleasant experience!

A good Mexican alternative to the touristy American-themed restaurants that litter the area the beach hotel area. If you want mom’s authentic Mexican, drive into the city center of Cancun.

This place was a nice surprise for my family and I. We are Mexicans living in Chicago amd visited cancun with an infant and teenager and enjoyed this place enough we went twice. The traditional Mexican dishes and drinks are as good as any mexican restaurant, but what actually makes this place pretty interesting are the mayan/regional specialties like sopa de lima and tacos de grinja. Seafood was very also very tasty and so were all soups. We also enjoyed the dessert helado de elote and coco(corn and coconut ice cream). The open air atmosphere is also nice and a good place to eat and then do some shopping in that area. Service is not good, but that’s how it is in all beach town restaurants, people move a little slower. They are understaffed for lunch but do better at dinner time. Good for a family of 2 to 6, but bigger would overwhelm them.

We stopped in on our first night in Cancun. My wife had the steak tacos and guacamole and I ordered a Mayan chicken in banana leaves. The food was very flavorful and abundant and the service was outstanding. We really enjoyed this establishment and will return.

Wonderful service and fun atmosphere. Our group of three had the guacamole(tasted store bought, not fresh), house white wine, stuffed chili(tasty but nothing special), and enchiladas. Reasonably priced for everything(glass of wine was $ 4, entrees around $ 10 each). Waiter(Sawyer) was very attentive and went back to the kitchen several times to make sure my friend’s dinner was gluten free.

We got a random recommendation to eat at this restaurant by some American tourists who told us they had eaten there twice in the same day. We felt like that was a pretty good recommendation even though we didn’t know them. All of the seating in this restaurant is outdoors part of it is covered with ceiling fans and the rest is uncovered with no ceiling fans. The vibe and the Decour of the restaurant is pretty good. It’s a relaxed atmosphere with low-key Mariachi music playing live in the background. They do have free Wi-Fi which is a real plus in the Cancun area sent several of the hotel resorts charge for Wi-Fi. But the food and drink was pretty average. We ordered that Mexican combo for two people which came with tacos enchiladas relleno beans and rice. It was more than enough to eat and it didn’t taste terrible it was just slightly on the bland side and the margarita was not very strong and also was a little bland for my taste.

Awful food! If you want Costco guacamole and old chicken then this is your place. Our chips were so stale when we asked for fresh chips they never came and we just gave up on getting fresh food here. We also had our waiter keep reminding us how much we should tip him, yet we still tipped him 15%. My stomachs felt terrible.

Yikes! They tried — and failed. Watery, flavorless, awful mixed drinks. We ordered mojitos that showed up tasting like water. We ordered a piña colada that tasted like water. We ordered a copa de vino — how can you screw that up? — it tasted like water. We’ve had spicier ketchup than the salsa. Every item we ordered was bland and without a hint of zest that suggests«quality.» Chimichanga — chicken wrapped in fried tortilla. Not a single other ingredient. Vegetable fajitas. Cooked but not prepared. Casa Tequila is a gross misnomer.

Definitely a good place to stop for a simple lunch or dinner. Service was great. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The menus are in both English and Spanish which helps. The food was good. We had the chicken hard tacos and pork tacos. Both did not disappoint. I did notice, unlike other venues they did offer some vegetarian picks — which the table next to us were thankful for. Drinks were ok — and if you are not looking for a bucket of margarita just mentioned to the waiter you want a small or regular margarita. I highly suggest this place before attempting any other in the nearby area!!!

We ordered 3 dishes. Enchilada, Chicken mole, and mixed grill… All of them were delicious, well executed, and authentic? Chicken was moist and well seasoned. Mole sauce were so flavorful unlike the typical American stuff. After sampling 5 different restaurants in the hotel zone for Mexican food, this is the best one without any nonsense gimmicks as the other restaurant tried to offer.
