Besides the good reviews on drinks, prices, atmosphere, make sure you try the pulpo tostadas! Like nothing you would expect from a bar! AMAZING!

Not a great night, may be a one off. Slow unfriendly service, anything to much trouble(moving two tables together because we were 4 and eating, when the place was empty 3 tables including us, high season maybe I understand) The food took a long time for what we ordered, tapas what the menu said was different to what we got, small for the price, I know it was tapas, but we got canapés there is a difference. Not impressed, I would go back for a beer but nothing else.

The food they cook is very good small but good. Good selection of drinks. Pricey compared to all the bars near it. Check it out you will not be unsatisfied.

Obsessed with this restaurant/bar! Spent the weekend with some girl friends in Ensenada and could not stop raving about this place!!! Had lunch, dinner and drinks here multiple times over the weekend. I am obsessed with the tostadas de camaron and the tostadas de pulpo. Very light and delicious small bites. The sopes are a little heavier but heavenly as well. One friend was raving about their BBQ mini sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Their craft cocktails are all super tasty too. The margaritas weren’t too sweet… just how I like it! The ambiance is very nice. The architecture is amazing and the space is used really well. The upstairs area and patio were super fun at night. The menu is all in Spanish, but the servers are very attentive and can help with explanations and translations. I’ll be back for sure!!!

This is my 51ST review on Unilocal!Seems fitting that it should be for Ryerson 51. I can only review the bar, which is awesome, but I have no doubt the food is pretty great too. Interesting, creative cocktails that are purely Mexican but of a distinction beyond margaritas and micheladas. Craft cocktails at their best, prepared by true mixologists.(Can we say, MEXologists? oh man, I’m such a racist). Awesome beer menu featuring some great craft brews. Weekends include live entertainment upstairs and not just the typical dance club stuff so common in Mexico, but real interesting musicians performing original takes on covers and their own compositions! If Pappas & Beer isn’t for you, then you are definitely in for a treat stopping into Ryerson 51. Spend your money here. Spend ALL of your money here.

Excellent new addition to the downtown area. We’ve visited Ryerson 51 now four or five times and it’s been consistently good. The food items are excellent, think extra large tapas/small appetizers. The food appears simple on the surface, but is actually quite complex in the ingredients used. They have a wonderful craft cocktail list, and if you’re making a visit to Ensenda, this is a place you can visit and avoid the madness of the touristy places on first street. They are almost a five star location, but they need to get good heat lamps. The bar has a roll-up door which makes the place look incredible, but the downside is a lack of comfort during the winter. So bring a coat and you’ll love it.

A bit more trendy than most Ensenada restaurants, both in habitus and menu. Might be best called a Mexican Tapas bar. Cameron and pulpo tostadas both great, couple of papas dishes were good, skip the dulce de leche(an overgrown smore). House margarita very good(no mix). Service eager. English, credit cards and dollars all happily accepted. A funky upstairs bar opens on weekends for late night.(January 2015).
